Oh Pearl... Thank you for this post! I agree so much with everything you said here.

Except I would like to say that we are not

Look at the reactions yesterday " don't look at the clothes, look at their happy faces, " " dont think about how rushed it was...at last hogayi happy shivika Shaadi"

To rephrase your granny... Since we can't cure ourselves of this IB fixation, let's endure this with a smile...look for all the positives possible. Buried under a mountain of ridiculous contrived writing, we will find something positive about this and stick with IB . All of us still watching this are never say die optimists

I am trying to be happy about this wedding... Annika really deserved a happy wala wedding! But somehow this one doesn't do justice. While the menhdi and haldi was not rushed, the wedding rituals felt rushed. And of course , I can find no justification for the horrendous clothing . All the bridal dresses on this show have been better than this one Annika got! Even Bhavya dream wedding had better clothes and decor. Why did they do this? Will they give us a grand shivika wedding , once Annikas family is found?! With happy post wedding functions (See the optimist is rearing her pretty little head and the realist is like girl...this is it! Be happy with this copper blue wedding.. look at the happy faces ..atleast you got that!! 🤣)

My expectations from the future track is really low...all I want is for pinky to not call Annika " manhoos" bas itni si dua hai meri

Also I understand the other couples are leads so they should get their own tracks and stop coming in b/w Shivika n dominating them.. since the beginning we always saw them resolving their own issues with on n off Omru advicing them be it forced marriage,ML track..etc post merger just to give platform for other couples they stalled Shivika n used them for every other scene dragging up until now where we r forced to have this rushed half baked wedding..If this continues am not sure about the show but Shivika essence will be lost..

But let's look at the positive. At the end of this track we will get shivika remarriage... Grand one, happy functions, the whole family , good clothes... Is this the carrot they will dangle in front of us to get us to watch their crap?? Is this why this wedding was so lackluster?

But seriously, pregnant with shivaays baby has already been used with Tia. They are taking their reboots a little too seriously and literally!!!

That is what I meant why i said a ShivIka kinda wedding ... this was almost as hastily put together as a hurried Family function like a birthday or something. I am not even going to comment on the Bride's and Groom's outfit ... that would be a 1/2 page rant

aur kitney baar marriage hogi yaar ... it is losing its charm now... next ShivIka marriage should be scheduled for their 25 years together - IF they get that far without someone separating them again

I can already see OmRu now : "Yeh anniversary gift hai for the forced marriage" a few months later, "Yeh anniversary gift for the real marriage" and a few months later, "Yeh anniversary gift for the 'getting back together' marriage"

The institution of and the sanctity of marriage has been turned into a joke. This is the marriage and that is what should have been done right.

But seriously, pregnant with shivaays baby has already been used with Tia. They are taking their reboots a little too seriously and literally!!! ... just a hunch and I hope I am wrong ... I do want it to be a normal marriage with normal married people issues but the person writing it has no clue what those two things mean so I have very low expectations

I agree. Annika is always readily available for him. To be honest as much as I hated separation track I had this small desire to see Annika turning independent and this Samar should be a good guy completely opposite to Shivaay and then drama unfold.
lol ... that will never ever happen. Annika back to being independent and working will NEVER happen and that my dear is their 'Nayi Sooch'. Like Rudy said a very long time ago, 'Annika's full time job is to save the Oberoi's from all disasters and bad things' and that is what she has become.
Even in the separation for 3 months, her not finding a single job was a bit too much for me to digest, considering Shivvay had NO hand in her job offers being refused by the employers. This is Mumbai we are talking about, a place I grew up in and am very closely familiar with. Not finding a job, any job for a girl like Annika, is close to impossible. She would have had to write Sahil's parents name as her guardians even in school so if that was written on her Resume I cannot imagine why any job would refuse her. But then that is me trying to find logic in IB so I shelve that thought and go with CV's wanted us to feel sorry for her plight and her helplessness. 😆😉 ... I know right especially we are talking about a girl who lived her life on her own independently from very young age. I don't know who felt sorry for her plight of not getting job i personally felt irritated and said how they butchered Annika.. Only sorry I felt is when Shivaay threw her out like a dust after so many promises..Lets not go back there .

To be fair the other couples 'did not' dilute ShivIka's essence but the story and the writer did. The other couples were supposed to grow parallel to ShivIka with the 1 hour that they had at their disposal but all that the writer did was give us childish comedy for them all.
The FNP, Haq games are cute only if the couple has first thrashed out their problems as adults. If not that is to kids on the playground just having a go at each other.

Think of the track from the time that Annika returned and you will see that the writer till date (the marriage) has never ever given them a scene, forget multiple scenes, where any of the couples, forget ShivIka, have ever had a heart-to-heart dialogue that made real life sense.
When her wedding with Vikram was off even then we did not get a scene where they actually sopke about their issues. When Pinky's truth was revealed even then we got zilch.

The drunken Catharsis on her page that the writer sobbed (allegedly) when she wrote could have been taken and drowned in the Oberoi Pool for all it was worth..
Anyways, I have ranted about this in my earlier posts from then and won't bore you with more ...lol - Agree. Its not about other couples my only point is that why Shivika has to be in those comedy scenes..Other couples are there in that phase not them. Why jabardasthi Shivika has to be inserted? And after all those flirting he did ..he conveniently said to OmRu that he and Annika cannot happen.. I was like dude what you were doing playing with her all the time w/ others.

Anyway if they bring another woman in Shivaays life now it will seriously damage his character. I hope for our sanity n for the show existence CVs are not taking this route.
... are you kidding me!!! The only route till date has been bringing another woman in his life ... it seems that the writer is obsessed with having women drape themselves all over him even while he is a married man... I have NO hopes for a sensible track here ...
'rinse,repeat and reboot' is the extent of the creativity here
I was hoping for a bit of Annika's past and a bit of Gauri's past coming up but I guess focusing on those women is a bit odd for the team that seems obsessed with the 'Pati, Patni aur Woh' movie from yesteryear's 🤣 - phewww.. whatever it is I just hope no more insults to Annika.. She endured a lot - being orphan, bua maa, Shivaay torture, Daksh, Tia, Raagini,

Pinky..She didn't get anything easily. To certain extent Gauri is okay all the angst she got is from Om mainly..She was readily accepted by all including Shivaay in the family. I hope they keep it that way for that girl atleast and show some other ways to show their growth.

This is the hightime CVs have to balance FLs . Shivika together are magic.. however they want to promote Shivaay but w/o Annika nothing works. This is proved in the separation track.. If they want to turn Shivaay as Tadibazz..we want that Khidkhitod Annika.

I will put that down to bad writing because 1 hour is pleanty to give all three the SS each deserves provided we do not focus on people like Svet, Ragini or Pinky. - exactly that's the problem writing.. they are not capable of creating 3 individual stories. Now again in this Shivika track they will insert Gauri n Bhavya too. The problem already Annika is short handed by the writer saahiba and then when the other 2 Fls comes in b/w Annika is becoming mute spectator. This is exactly happened in the Viks Raagini drama. They made her silent and had Gauri, Bhavya run the show..I hope they don't make her weak I want that Khidkhitod Annika who deals w/ her own problems in her own way. Honestly this 1 hr long is not working.
