I disagree with your views about om and rikara. Gauri is already very strong and I think strongest among girls because she single handly handled all things. She is also not naive. She is clever. She has proved many time.

In IB they have been showing filler tracks for like what 1-2 months. Unheard rituals. Om Gauri dangal adventure. Sultan or sultana track.

But Of course then in Rikaras case Gauri started taking English classes as she felt below him which is a interesting track but as for now she has only attended 2 classes I believe and then she went to the village (again a filler track).

With Ruvya the age difference (can't help but to wonder of it wasn't obvious from the beginning that she was older but whatever). In their case Rudra is immatured and irresponsible which is a problem as bhavya is not. They are two different people who are attracted to each other. Yet again interesting but bhavya asked those valid questions some epis back so Rudras story is yet to start.

In Shivikas case they are getting married which started off yesterday.

My point is that they have just been dragging and added filler tracks. There havn't been a proper track. Therefore they can't say IB is not working as there is so much which is left hanging. To many unfinished tracks. LIKE LITERALLY.

I for one would love to watch shivika after marriage. The little moments between them. Now that everything is fine, Will annika start working again? Shivaay taking Annika to some business party and ECT.

Whats going through pinkys head? What was in that painting - how is pinky going to use Svetlana? Obviously she wants something in return. Who was Pinky talking to secretly?

Obviously then there's svetlanas revenge. She is still mystery. Is she still tias sister who wants avenge her father's death? Super confused!

The raaz that dadi, shakti and pinky hiding - does tej and jaanvi know? How will that only affect shivika and not the other jodis? Is this the same raaz from the beginning episode or some other raaz.

What happened to priveer? Not that I care but atleast give them a end. And kamini what the hell was her problem with the oberois?

Then there is Roop and who killed gayatri?

As you see they havnt really tried solving anything. Usually the climax brings trp - when the villains are exposed. Here they just start something interesting and leaves it hanging. But then there are those filler tracks which they do finish up. I mean I don't know whether to laugh or cry!

Anyhow a leap of 5 years just ruins the journey. Shivika atleast had 370 epis and we have seen it all between them, the ups and the downs. But in Om and Gauris case a Leap would mean like a hole in their journey like a missing part. And Ruvya - yet to like them - but as you said their last scene felt like final but she raised some valid points which can be the beginning towards a more grown and matured Rudra and I would love to watch that. I don't want to watch a scene or 2 were Rudra is shown stepping up and then bang a Leap and he is matured and responsible.

Also I didnt like the last leap! It was so unnessesary. They were like in the same state. Annika jobless but in Zara clothes, Shivaay broken (in a don't care state but a Leap was not necessary), Om in coma Gauris trying to save him. He wakes up misunderstandings continues. (Why did svetlana help Gauri? Out of kindness? #rollingmyeyes) Don't remember Ruvya sorry.

Anyhow my point is they are not good with leaps. I personally feel it would have been better if they just continued the story instead of a leap of 3 months. I would have enjoyed watching Shivaay distancing from his family apart from his brothers. Shivaay trying to make annikas life difficult ( IF it was he who was stoping her from getting jobs) Pinkys dilemma on one side there is her hate for Annika and on the other her love for her son. For OmRu there is their love for his brother and on the other their promise to their bhabi. And ECT.

Anyhow i'm against the leap. I really hope that it's not true!!

If they want to commit suicide they can show 5 years leap. I was shocked to even entertain an idea like that. They still coudn't recover from the damage done by the 3 months lapse separation. IB is all about romance and they have created a legend in the name of Shivika. It's not an Ekta show.

Gul herself spoke about true love and Harneet also refers to Shivika's journey being beautiful. 5 years is a really long time to skip over the journey. Shivika will be over if we time travel to 5 years. And for god's sake, have some mercy on Rikara and Ruvya. Is everyone going into coma again?

If this leap of 5 years or Shivika separating again is coming true... people in future will refer to IB with the same dread they do with QH!

Especially the tad bits about Anika and Gauri.

The only point I feel I'd personally want to be different would be Rudra. Can it not be Rudra and Bhavya! Simply because for me they have NEVER clicked and they definitely won't any time soon.
Can they get someone new or even just get Soumya for all it matters.

Am not sure IB will survive a 5Yr leap at this point! Most likely GulNeet will be handed the 'IB is back to 30 min' SP memo anytime now (if they do not already have it!). Hint: full time promotion of "next two weeks" by GulNeet and the actors i.e. SP has given them some yardstick to meet in the next two weeks😆

If vanvaas does happen though, it gives a great avenue for Pinky's redemption - hence daadi's "keep at doing your mom duty" advise to Pinky today!

About Rudra, yes, he'll be more mature. But I don't really know what is going on with Bhavya. Did she marry that man? I guess she did because there was a picture of her on Instagram with sindoor on and given the circumstances nowadays, I don't think RuVya will get married anytime soon. So after the leap, will she divorce her husband? Will he die? Will Rudra marry a divorcee/widow who is a few years elder to him? If he does, wow, that's some character change!! And I would really appreciate that, even though I don't really like Bhavya.

PS. Will people bash me if I say I want Soumya back? 😭

5 year leap is too much but if they have to then few months is fine.

I personally don't believe in leaps, as I feel that marks the end of stories. Having said that they have ruined IB to quite a huge extent. Bringing it out of this mess is a difficult task, leap or not. TRP viewers don't view things for the cast or the romance alone. I think the highest TRP's were during the marriage track which was no romance. So if the creative heads can pull the speculations as you have said, only then can this leap work otherwise it is going to fizzle out. I hope someone would show this thread to Harneet so she gets some clue as to how to proceed.

I can tolerate leap as long as shivika are not shown as parents, both of them are looking younger day by day and to even imagine them as parents is not digestible to me 😲
