An Obros centric episode. Sure they weren't thumping chests and singing their anthem and dancing around in circles, but this is an emotional one. All those times OmRu went to have a heart to heart with Shivaay about Annika, today he was that for Rudy and Gauri today. Om, the poet prince, has retreated into melancholic darkness to brood over his feelings.
Rudy is for the first time having a rough time over a girl. The one who changed girlfriends like yesterday's clothes is now upset that the girl he likes is 4 years older to him. "It's easy for you to say, it's nothing, Bhaiyya.. and brother gives dose of tit for tat. He had issues over Annika's NKK and he got over it.
Well, advice is useful but just like Shivaay, Rudy has to feel the acute fear of loss to see priorities. Looks like Bhavya thinks Rudy has turned away from her, as she mulls a decision to accept a close friend's (policeman friend, mind) proposal with adopted parents' approval.
(I always wanted this kind of a situation for Shivika, but we're getting it for Ruvya. A nice , decent guy for Annika, so that she doesn't always seem to available to Shivaay easily. Like the girl also has a choice ,you know?)
I'm biased, I love "Tu Jaane Na as a song first, so as soon as I heard the song, I was bowled over (never mind the egg inspection, and the failed sweet bouncing act). But it looked like the two were trying to figure out whether they liked those quirks about the girls who have them in this quandary.
Seeing Shivaay sit in solitude, smiling over memories of Annika, reminds me of Annika's wishes for love in her life, seems to incorporate with his. Somebody is feeling romantic and missing his wife, pls bring her back already..
Next day, in came trouble in the form of Bua. One would think, after that stupid media clip she gave Ragini, she would think 10 times before coming near Shivaay. Obviously someone has paid her handsomely to come and create trouble. Pinky, I feel. But she is cleverly hiding her hand from us this time, this reeks of her Nayantara scheme all over again.
Shivaay knows this parasite of a woman well, he probably realises this is some ruse to get him to feel disgusted with Annika's status again. He plays along quite gentlemanly, even Dadi is surprised and a little embarrassed with the bad manners Bua's entourage were showing at the dinner table. Stealing cutlery and what not. Watch as Shivaay quietly watches their antics, waiting for the real matter to come out.
Then as Bua says, she has matters to discuss, see his shrewd Shark Singh Oberoi look come back. He demanded Bua sign over Sahil's custody. Curiously she puts on a show of family ties and boohoo, and she didn't even know Sahil was unwell. Suddenly she is gushing with family feelings, over Annika and Sahil, which Shivaay knows are blatant lies.
In privacy, he is back to his shrewd self, unimpressed with Bua's family love. He demands she hand over custody over Sahil. He is suddenly back to the old SSO. Watch how the mother comes to make drama, but nothing worked. Shivaay dismissed Pinky, and like a switch Bua is suddenly ready to make a deal for Sahil.
But I was a little worried at Shivaay being taken advantage of, because he cares for Annika so much. Reminds of those times he paid off blackmailers for his family's honour. Same way, Bua is trying to make herself rich out of Shivaay. All I hope is his shrewdness is in full form to get the best out of this icky situation.
Ugh, Tej-Jhanvi-Svetlana story just has to finish yaar, it's vexing.

As much as I like Rudy's boyish ways, it's time he did something with himself, not just find a working girl girlfriend. I understand his confusion also. He's allowed to be this kid for so long, to suddenly think of responsibility and becoming something is a bitter pill to swallow. Loving Leenesh in this role, he's doing marvellously. I'm quite excited to see where Rudy goes in this journey.
Lastly, there's a pattern forming in episodes, some episodes are Shivika heavy so the next would be OmRu heavy, why not?
I think it's lovely that Shivaay is helping Gauri get over her insecurities. It's about her, not about Om accepting all her quirks. Look how eagerly she laps up the encouragement Shivaay gives her, shows she really wants to make something of herself. I'd rather see this, than seeing her crying in self pity in a corner. This is way better, than Shivaay just buying her modern clothes and teaching her some clever words.
Yeah, he's helping her like Rudra did for Annika. At least someone is doing something, coz Om has retreated into his contemplative shell..

Again misleading stuff I think... she looks hurt and upset, as though she is misunderstanding Shivaay. Playing up on our ill foreboding feelings since the lovely video of Shivaay. She may just be pulling his leg to make him spit out the words..
But it could also be that Bua dressed up the story in a different way to Annika, that would be a throwback to the Nayantara track. But Shivika are at a whole new higher level of trust right now..
I remember Annika saying in her house, "You've changed so much Shivaay.."
I don't think there's any misunderstanding at all, if there is I'd be first to knock her on her pretty head...
