Hiya!
Faye's back! OK, now this one was originally not longer than 1k but then things kept going on and I just went along with them! I apologise in advance for boring you with this LONG OS! It's weekend, so I know everyone is in a good mood. Your tamaatars and andaas will also be welcome. I know I deserve them for this one.

PS: this one is simply because drunkGauri is bae.
*this takes place after the cake fight and the ice-cream obviously!
********
His wife doesn't get drunk usually, but on the handful of occasions that she has been, few hard truths had been driven home to him. Every single time. And he remembers each of those.
********
They are complete idiots.

Idiots to have trusted Rudy. Because when it comes to their wives, Rudra is not to be trusted.

At all.

He is unabashedly bhabhiyon ka chamach' and there is nothing they can do about it except stay wary. Which they hadn't known until now, now when they are staring at the consequences of their lapse of attention.

Both their wives are drunk silly.

Correction from Shivaay: one is an ex-wife, current status still on faraq and non-faraq mode.

However, the scene is enough to make their blood run cold. Because a sober Gauri and Annika are a handful to handle with their khidkitod ideas and constant exchange of whispers. It is horrifying to even imagine a drunk version of them. And they do have past experiences to know that this won't end well for either of them.

It is in the fruit' punch, quite visible by the large bowl that is almost empty now.

They should have known.

Annika is already smiling around goofily while she chugs down another glass. Rudra and Gauri cheer her on, several empty bottles and glasses around them. Gauri's dupatta lies forgotten on the floor, half submerged in the pool and one of Annika's huge earrings is under Rudra's feet, they notice.

"Om, ye Rudra kabhi nahi sudhrega! Yaar!! A drunk Annika is not something I can handle! She says and does crazy things sober, but when drunk she is unstoppable," Shivaay turns to him with distress clearly written on his face.

Omkara's face mirrors a magnified version of the same expressions as he stares at the trio.

"Believe me, Gauri is worse. When drunk, she " Omkara doesn't get to complete his complaint because at that very moment Annika notices them and lets them all know with a screech.

A loud screech of "Billluuujiii!!"

Both of them move towards the devar and his bhaabis at the same time, grinding their teeth in anger.

"Rudra!" Shivaay's voice is raised just a notch, mindful of the fact that everyone else is asleep in their house.

"Bade bhaiiya! Itna chilla kyu rahe hai aap? Sar me dard hoga humaare. Hum sab yahi hai!" Gauri says in an equally shrill voice and Omkara closes his eyes in defeat. His wife is definitely drunk and he is about to have a much-dreaded trip to hell from her.

"Gauri?" he looks up in shock when his tadibaaz brother resorts to whispering.

"Yeh na aise hi hai. Kisiki Khushi na dekhi nahi jaati innse. Mann to karta hai inki car ki kaanch ek baar phir phod du," Annika confides in them.

"sahi kaha aapne bhaabhi. Aur kya karna chahti hai aap?" Rudra quickly moves between Gauri and Annika to escape two pairs of glaring eyes that are aimed at him as he goads Annika.

"Aur... Neend me unke ye chuchundar jaise baalon ko kaat dena hai," she looks at his brown highlights with a shrewd look. Shivaay consciously raises his hand to his hair while Gauri and Rudra nod in agreement.

"Hain na, Gauri?" she excitedly turns to Gauri.

"hmmm... bohot cheapda sa style hai. Style toh..." Gauri starts excitedly before trailing off with a distant look in her eyes. Shivaay's eyes widen at the use of cheapde' by Gauri while Omkara's ears perk up at the mention and sudden stop at the word style'.

"waah bulbul bhaabi! Kitna sahi kaha aapne," Rudra raises his hand for a high-five only to see his bulbul bhaabhi pouting with a sad look on her face.

"Kya hua bhaabhi? Aapka bhi kuch karne ka mann ho to bata do," he smartly asks her.

"Ha. Hume na Salman se shaadi karni hai," she says wistfully. Omkara's eyes widen at her confession while Rudra and Shivaay take a 180 degree turn towards him with raised eyebrows. Did their brother force her into this marriage?

"Acha? Vo red dress wala?" Annika asks excitedly. Omkara feels murderous rage for this unknown Salman and the red dress which sounds like a gift from him.

"Red dress wala?" Rudra asks the question on everyone's mind with interest. Gauri looks at him in confusion.

"Arrre ha! Salman! The tailor who convinced Gauri ki uska red dress backless hi acha lagega. Gauri se bohot jamti hai usski. But teri to shadai ho gayi hai na..." Annika explains before trailing off in an equally wistful tone. Shivaay shakes his head, looking at Omkara with pity.

"Nahiii!" this time Gauri screeches,"Woh Salman nahi! Salman Khan, bhaujaaaiii!" she looks with horror towards her beloved bhaujaai. Omkara heaves a huge sigh of relief while Rudra and Shivaay vibrate with silent laughter.

"Oh bete ki! Kya choice hai teri!" her bhaujaai wholeheartedly agrees with her before apologising. "Maaf kar de Gauri, bas mujhe na vo Salman yaad aa gaya. Vaise vo bhi kam nahi hai. Par khair, ab kya ho sakta hai..."

"Ha. Humaari kismat me to yeh jataadhaari nandi likhe hai Shankarji ne," she grimaces. Everyone else jumps at the relatively new word.

"Jataa- kya?" Annika frowns as she tries hard to concentrate.

"Jataadhaari hippie!" she repeats.

"Mera bhai hippie nahi hai, bulbul bhaabhi. But creative name, haa," Rudra smirks at his brother. Omkara balls his fists as Shivaay snickers beside him. The presence of his wife and Annika as a barrier is what saves Rudy from an impending punch.

"Hippie?" Annika asks excitedly with a slight jump.

"Nahi. Nandi," Gauri concludes and Omkara mentally slaps himself. "Har waqt hume daraaye rehte hai apne gusse se. bas gussa hi karte rehte hai. Kareeb jaao to aise dhakka de dete hai jaise Bijli ki taar chu liye ho," she continues in the same breath, rendering him speechless.

Shivaay does a 180 degree turn again to stare at his brother with a look that clearly screams 'are-you-crazy? Why-the-hell-would-you-run-away-when-your-wife-makes-a-move-on-you?' Shivaay's misadventures make him stare at Omkara like he has gone bonkers. It is enough to anger him.

"Gauri! That is quite enough," he tries to maintain the control over his voice. It comes out louder than expected though and in a tone, he has vowed to never ever use with his wife again.

"Nannnddiii!" it's not his wife who wails. It is Annika, in an eerily Gauri-like tone that has all three of them raising their eye-brows. Rudra and Shivaay burst out laughing this time, a moment after Gauri starts clapping.

"That is enough. Gauri we are going to our room. Rudra tujhe mai baad me dekh lunga," Omkara takes a step towards her only to halt when she shrieks.

"Nahi! Hume abhi bhaujaai ko chaqqu laa kar dena hai," she tilts her head to the side innocently. All three of them jump at the mention of 'Chaqqu'.

"Woh q? Abhi aapko fruit salad khaana hai?" Rudra asks her curiously.
"Woh bhaujaai ko bade bhaiyya ke baal kaatne hai na," Gauri grins at Annika and Annika nods excitedly before turning towards the stairs.

Shivaay swings into action instantly, scared for his beloved hair, by pulling Annika towards himself. Omkara does the same with Gauri, going a step ahead and swinging his protesting wife into his arms.

"Rudra, tomorrow," Shivaay doesn't leave with Annika without a hissed threat for Rudra.
********
Omkara notices the very different scent the moment he has his wife in his arms. There is something very different, something very un-Gauri and he wonders about it for a moment as he carries a squirming Gauri to their room. He attributes it to the drinks she's had, kicking their door shut and dropping her to their bed.

"Sleep it off, Gauri," he advises her, mind still stuck on Salman as he tries to pull back. She doesn't let him, holding on to his hand with both of hers. He ends up in an uncomfortable position but stays in place, half-hovering over Gauri.

"Hume aapke baal bohot pasand hai," she says surprisingly, one hand leaving his to trail finger through his hair. He closes his eyes at the sensation, trying hard to keep himself in control.

"Ek secret bataaye?" she again whispers delicately.

"Ha bataao," he encourages her, wondering what she wants to divulge in her drunk state.

"Yaha aaiye," she commands and he automatically moves closer. The extremely delectable scent hits him again and he can't really place his finger on it. He knows it but it's something different, something he unknowingly knows, he's sure.

"Aaj humaara shampoo khatm hogaya tha..." she starts softly before getting distracted by a lock of his hair that strays over his forehead. She pushes it back, locking her fingers in his hair again while her other hand comes to a rest on his cheek. She pulls him down to herself by the hold she has on his hair, lips moving to trail lightly on his earlobe. He shudders in pleasure, a desperate want rising in him like never before.

He wants her, he knows that. But the extent of his want, no need, becomes clear when he has to will every single fibre of his being into not pushing her down on the bed, to pin her with his own weight and do all the things he has had the audacity to imagine. She settles on testing his patience though as she moves her fingers in his hair leisurely, lips pressing into the hollow under his ear and he moans involuntarily.
It forays into dangerous territories soon when she nibbles on his earlobe and he pulls back hurriedly to put a stop to it. He takes a deep breath to calm his raging senses, only for the scent to hit him again, sending another wave of desperation through him.

"Secret bata rahi thi tum. Tumhaara shampoo khatm ho gaya na?," he tries to distract her when she again pulls him back, quite unaware that the very secret was going to make him lose hard-fought control.

"Ha," she pouts for a moment and he makes a mental note to order new stock of her preferred strawberry scented shampoo. He must have looked quite out of it because her fingers twist in his hair painfully as she tries to get his attention.

"I'm listening," he assures her and her hold immediately loosens.

"Bottle me thoda sa tha aur humaare baal itne lambe hai na? To humne na apna shampoo khatm hone par aapka shampoo use kar liya," she confides in a whisper and his control snaps.

Him.

She smells like him.

The primal male in him grins in victory before realising that there are much more pleasurable ways to leave an imprint on his wife.

He sets to work immediately, tilting her head up and possessing her mouth with a hunger that surprises even him. Her enthusiastic response is all he needs to pin her on their bed with a growl and move towards the exposed column of her throat. He can feel the rapid, uneven thud of her heart against his own body as he lets his lips move hungrily over the spot where her neck meets her shoulder, sending out silent prayer of thanks to whoever came up with the idea of sleeveless garments. He restrains himself from adding teeth though, mindful of her current intoxicated state inspite of her wild response to his attentions, even though he badly wants to.

"Ommm..." she whispers his name this time, breaking his resolve in a fraction of a second and he gives in by letting his teeth sink into the soft skin of her shoulder. Later, when he reflects back on it, it had been the breathy, shortened version of his name from her lips combined with the heady scent of his own shampoo on her that had made him lose control, even if it had been momentary. She arches her back, the arm slung around his neck tightens in an attempt to keep his lips glued to the soft spot. He learns quickly, lavishing attention on the same spot until she responds with another breathless version of his name. She whimpers a little, trying to pull him closer as he moves up to place fleeting kisses on the side of her neck. Something cold touches his lips, her mangalsutra, reminding him the woman in his arms is his wife, deserving the best of everything and not a punch-fuelled hour of passion.

He stops when he reaches her jaw, pulling back unwillingly and setting her back on the bed. She stares at him with a disconcerted frown, her eyes struggling to keep him in focus; her hand stays twisted in his hair. With a long-drawn sigh, he covers her up securely in the duvet, moreso to keep his own wandering hands in check.

"Sleep, Gauri. The coming morning won't be good for your head," he leans in to drop a kiss on her forehead, mentally chuckling at the hangover she is sure to have. It is a struggle to actually disentangle himself from her, a struggle he is too happy to lose when she pulls him beside herself on the bed only to realize that it is a bad idea. Because she curls up beside him, drawing him closer, her lips pressed to his neck as she falls asleep instantly. He spends the entire night engaged in a battle that his body and brain have regarding his rightfully wedded and very much warm-blooded wife, who is tempting and quite willing (affected by drinks, yes) in his arms. It takes immense effort from him to not give in to what his body and heart demand from him so vehemently.

It is a night of many firsts, he starts counting: the first time she stays in his arms for the entire night, the first time he realises that keeping his hands off his wife will be a hard task in the coming days, the first time he has ever wanted a woman so much, the first time she has called him 'Om'. He falls asleep counting the long list of firsts.
********
She wakes up with her limbs entangled with Omkara's and blushes profusely for a moment before the pounding headache takes over, causing her to gently free herself from her sleeping husband and stumble out of the bed. She walks out almost thirty minutes later to find him still asleep but there's a glass of a familiar-looking liquid on the bedside table with note weighed down - 'Drink this. You'll feel better. Annika already does.'

The handwriting is vaguely familiar and having no choice, she empties the glass. It works instantly, the headache and the sick feeling lessens. She walks softly to the mirror to apply her sindoor before stopping in horror as the mirror reflects the now-purple bruise adorning her neck. Slowly, she pulls the sleeve of her dress a little, to reveal a darker, purple-marked shoulder. There's a quiet sound outside and she covers up hastily, all the while wondering the source of the bruises.

Omkara stares stealthily at his confused and naive wife from under the duvet he's under, trying hard not to chuckle at the way she stares at the marks on her body.
