ugh it's like they've taken all of DBO's leftover "kuch bhi" and put it in this relationship.

Awesome Post...
Even I miss Soumya so much...😭
She was just perfect for Rudra. In the first episode itself he claimed that he can never love a 'parathe khane wali' girl but then Saumya came & their first promo together it gave me so much of hope for Rumya...
Then if he falls in love with Bhavya who is just a fitness-freak like him then where's the takkar & that 'parathe khane wali' stuff is over so easily...When Shivkara are getting their takkar ki jodidar then what about Rudra...I donno why i just can't tolerate Ruvya scenes...
Whenever I see Bhavya with Aniri & Shivkara i feel disappointed & it instantly reminds of the bond Saumya shared with them...😭

Guys. Please mail the channel at hello@startv.com to bring back RuMya. Tell them what RuMya means to you and why Saumya is the one for Rudra. I sent them two mails. They said they will inform the concerned team about my views. Please try.

I totally agree with you
And about the storyline they had not the real ishqbaazi
Like said in the first episode where dadi said about their takkar ka he partner
For Rudra they should not have scrapped Soumya's character

Awesome post!
Why do I have a feeling that the PH thought ki audience accepted Ishana's replacement Gauri so they'll also accept Sumo'a replacement Bhavya? No one can replace Somya! She was perfect! She was actually his takkar ki! This RuVya thing is so cringy! I hardly watched DBO so was able to skip that couple but now they are permanently in IB and I swear I just change the channel when RuVya come on-screen!
Rudra is and always will be Somya's husband, and at the moment he is being emotionally unfaithful to his wife.
Living with a parayi aurat, how can Dadi out of all people, can accept it? Was this the same family who questioned Om's decision of having a live-in relationship with Riddhima (who was already his girlfriend so he was technically allowed?) And now they are letting this woman, who came out of nowhere, live in their house, with their married son, in his bedroom and encouraging him to have a relationship with her?
HOW?
And no offense to the actor who is playing Bhavya, she's pretty but there's such a huge lack of chemistry between her and Lee and also, the whole family that it feels bad. It actually feels very bad.

I have been watching this show on and off, off whenever the tracks were super-lame and on as and when there was some good story-line, galti se hi sahi. The brothers bonding were a plus. Eventually that storyline got fizzled out for whatever reasons. With a spin-off and never-out-of wedding-preparations for Shivay, multiple tracks were opened and none found a logical end any time.

Anyways, with the merger that was predictable ever since it split, it becomes really taxing now to follow this "SOUP of storylines for one full hour. It became just easier to watch the show online, as it was easier to skip scenes that weren't interesting. With this merger, I did give a try to watch the show on TV. And the one thing that struck me was the fact that I really missed the character of Saumya today.

Her character had interactions with all members of this family. She sang a song for Shivay Bhaiyya at hospital; she was the muh-boli behen to Omkara. She hit off instantly with Anika Didi. She was the big Shivay-Anika shipper pretty early. She was the one shown to be excited and disappointed when they thought Shivay was gonna propose to Anika and instead announced his wedding to Tia. It was shown that she was the one who picked Anika's clothes from her house on Dadi's request after the forced wedding fiasco. She was having a unique bond with Sahil too; he was supposedly in "asli pyaar' with Saumya. One of the best scenes between a grown up Saumya and the young Sahil was the one where he dreams of her with the lovely song from Om Shanti Om in the background. Even though it ws a separately shot scene, there was this unique connect. She was the one who brought him for the pag phere. She was part of the gang, bonded well with Mallika too. They had developed meaningful interactions between Saumya and each of the other characters.

Her banter with Rudra was cheerful, youthful, funny, innocent and beautiful, what with all her "According to a survey by this university...Such a lively, jovial and interesting personality Saumya was. Why they had to chuck off her character is thoroughly groundless. One can relate to a character who's been around for the first 250 plus episodes.

It's very strange that they'd expect the audience to accept the new girl against Rudra. Leenesh's comic ting is excellent. And it's sad that one has to skip his scenes with the new lead. Rudra now looks like an infatuated teenager. I personally don't see the chemistry building.
Saumya seemed career-oriented. Becoming a Oberoi bahu would mean to be sitting at home and molly-coddling her "pati as well as assisting in yet another of Shivay bhaiyya's wedding preparations. I'd want to believe that Saumya was lucky to have escaped this Oberoi house. Oh Btw, Saumya went to Australia for higher studies. Does that mean Rudra has failed his exams and is still attending college to complete his arrears.

Nehalakshmi Iyer...miss her as Saumya. She definitely is a good actor, pretty convincing in whatever range of emotions were given to her to be enacted. Her voice modulation was good. Wish Neha finds some real good work.

YES. EXACTLY. ALL OF THIS..!!! YOU DID A REALLY GOOD JOB EXPLAINING ALL THIS.. AND I AGREE WITH EVERYTHING YOU SAID.. 👏👏 I really hope the cvs finally listen to what the audience has to say.. and act accordingly..

The makers didn't even bother to make it a logical entry and say have Dadi be upset that Rudra is sharing a room with a different girl or Shivaay get upset at the lack of Bhavya's background or something. That at least would have made sense. Instead you have Dadi saying "apni apni walo ko uthao aur kamre mein le jao"...like huh?😕

It's funny, because time and time again, tracks have been forced onto viewers of IB for a year now, and the makers still haven't realized that they'll get more push-back from the audience the more they try to force nonsensical tracks

And it's sad really. Rudy is one of my favorite characters, but whenever I see a scene with him and Bhavya together, I skip the scenes as well

Daadi should be visibly upset. Now technically speaking, Rudra and Saumya are separated. Her pride about Oberoi family NOT having a divorce/separation has gone for a toss. Why she isn't upset is because the writers haven't bothered.
I wonder what made them scrap Saumya. From where they received data to feel that RuMya didn't work. Everyone seems to love them together. And how sure are they that Rudy and Cop has been accepted by audience. The online polls seem to suggest otherwise.
I really wish they had given one entire week full of Rudy and Cop. That would give them an idea if they have been "loved".

I felt Saumya's absence too. I hadn't hoped about this thread being on Page 1 or 2 for anyone to see this at all. I like Shivay Anika's story and the brothers. Saumya's absence among them and the presence of a non-relatable character in all scenes is making it a little unpleasant to watch it as a whole.

Yes. Id want to reiterate...No offence to the actor playing Bhavya. Its just that the character introduced is forced. There has been no organic growth of her relationship with other characters in the show. At this point, the brothers with their respective wives fanning this "lovestory" and playing cupid isn't making much sense.
