Apparently Goddess Kali is said to have been born from the brow of the Goddess Durga during one of her battles with the evil forces. As the legend goes, in the battle, Kali was so engrossed in the killing spree that she got carried away and began destroying everything in sight. To stop her, Lord Shiva, threw himself under her feet. Shocked at this sight, Kali put an end to her homicidal rampage.
(I hope I have my facts right and if I don't I humbly apologize for it in advance.)
Since both Goddesses represent the avaatars of women we may assume that Pinky has invoked the Goddess Kali in her today and in doing so has invoked the Goddess Durga in Annika.
I think it is further safe to assume that if Shivvay does throw himself at her feet to end her homicidal rampage she will snap out of her destructive trance in an attempt to shield him from any harm. You cannot tell me that a woman can bring a child up from and infant to an adult and not develop motherly instincts for him.
The sea's having been churning for some time now and the poisonous fumes are spreading that threaten to kill all in the Family. I think Shivvay's cup of poison, that Pinky has spat out in her hatred, is ready for him to swallow in order to save this world of his. That is the only way that the nectar can be obtained.
I think they were attempting to show Pinky's final mask being lifted today.
Annika has been aware since yesterday how much Pinky hates her but I think she had made up her mind to appeal to the mother in Pinky today because of the sheer fact that she was secure in the knowledge that no matter what their differences, both women loved Shivvay more than they loved themselves.
But to her shock, that one glimmer of hope was extinguished as well when Pinky blatantly told her that Shivvay was not her son without even wincing with pain for a second.
She showed not an ounce of sadness or wistfulness that he was not her child by birth. She did not hear the craving in the voice of a mother who would have been happy to have a son such as him born from her womb. There was no trace of sadness at not having her blood running through his veins.
All that she felt, as Pinky almost spat out the declaration that he was 'Najayaz', was like this truth had been stored like poison inside of her all these years. Her disgust at him being that was clearly evident. How would a devoted and adoring son react to such an action if the mother ever performed the same before him again?
What feeling does one appeal to with a woman who unflinchingly claims to not being the mother of a child you are appeal for?? Where do you go now that the whole basis for that appeal has fallen away like the ground beneath your feet?? What grounds do you lay before this person so that they put the well-being of this child before their selfish wants?? How do you recover from such a huge blow??
Today they showed Pinky finally jumped over the precipice, from where she has been standing for a long time now. She as been faking the motherly love and concern for Shivvay all these years, while it has probably been burning her up from the inside slowly that she has been bringing up the mistresses son as the rightful heir of the Oberoi's.
For that insult, and maybe the pain of not being able to bear a child of her own, she has been extracting her revenge all these years and planning it meticulously. Brainwashing him to put NKK above all and him to her using him to her advantage has probably been 'pay back' for him taking away the title of rightful heir which should have been her child's.
At least where Annika is concerned, Pinky is now free from having to fake it anymore. There will be no more need to put up with Annika pleading and appealing to the mother in her because now she knows the truth. It must feel like a barb around her heart to hear Annika recount over and over to her, countless times, how much Shivvay means to Pinky. No one appeals to Pinky about Shivvay that way because no one has ever felt the need to.
There is no return for her ever, as his mother now, in Annika's eyes. She is now just another woman that Annika needs to save her husband from.
This is not about Saas-Bahu as far as I see it now but about 2 women head-to-head with each other because the facts were laid bare today.
Pinky does not care about Shivvay at all. His mental and physical health are her concern only till he fulfills his purpose in her life. That was clear by the fact that she was completely fine with him knowing that he was illegitimate even though she knew the impact it would have on him.
So today all bets were off and so were the gloves. Annika standing defiant and having a show down is not the normal SP bahu. That Bahu would lay down and die or just roll over and play dead. And frankly, this is not even a Bahu anymore because that is not Shivvay's mother she is dealing with. It is just a woman, like Tia, who has been, is and will continue to take advantage of her husband if she does nothing to stop it. At this point there is only Destroyer and Protector - not Saas and Bahu.
Annika will come through for Shivvay because she is not dealing with Shivvay's mother anymore - just a manipulative and cold-hearted woman who does not care for her husband.
All this time 'Pinky the Mother' was restraining her and holding her back from being who she really is and what she is capable of. She was appealing to a mother and pleading with her to not destroy her son and the Family that meant so much to him.
But now that Pinky has admitted to having no motherly feelings towards him and has laid bare her true intentions, Annika has nothing that she owes this woman standing before her.
Pinky has turned Dark on Annika and has fallen to the lowest low she can by showing her what she truly is capable of. That is Pinky's biggest mistake because she does not realise that where Shivvay is concerned there are no limits to where Annika will go to. She will stoop to the lowest low, manipulate to the greatest degree she can and lie straight faced if she has to no matter how tarnished her soul gets.
I know as a wife I would for my husband and I am known to be a very nice person ...lol
So I say bring it on and let Annika turn grey on us. I would love to see that happen.
I say let her fake the pregnancy, let her use every low down and disgusting trick in the book to secure her marriage, let her use every manipulation possible, including seducing her husband for this intention, let her initiate the intimacy if needed and drug her husband. If all this is done to keep him safe and out of harm even the Gods will Justify it!
A grey Annika will be a pleasure to watch
As for Pinky, somewhere in my heart I do feel sorry or her. Her admittance that he was the son of Shakti's mistress felt more like a cry for understanding and help from one woman to another.
