PART 4
Anika had bought all the things required for the rituals as soon as possible because she didn't want to be late to the pooja. She started back home and when she reached Oberoi Mansion, she was shocked to see so many people and more worrying was the fire engines. She ran inside and her eyes were searching for her family members. She couldn't see anyone and her heart started beating faster. Images which were a constant source of her nightmares started to flash in Front of her eyes. Fire and a wall falling down, a small voice shouting amidst all the chaos. She roughly pushed those images away and again started searching for her famiky. Finally her eyes found Shivaay and she felt like she could breathe again. She immediately ran to him and caught his shoulders with both her hands.
'Shivaay ae sab kya hai? Kya hua? Baaki sab kahan hai? Sab teekh haina? Aap kuch bol kyun nahi rahe hain?' Anika was firing question after question at Shivaay but at first he didn't reply. Then seeing her condition he huggged her tightly and said,
'Calm down Anika. Sab teekh hain.' He then cupped her cheeks with both his hands and said 'woh dekho sab wahan par hain, keesi ko chot nahi lagi, As Gauri was near the fire she inhaled a little bit of smoke, otherwise all are fine.' Anika saw Gauri lying there and that made her heart ache more. She immediately went near her and took her hand from Jhanvi who was rubbing it and started doing the same. She had tears running down her eyes.
Om could not believe his eyes. Everything was going fine and suddenly within a fraction of second all was destroyed. He understood how nothing was in their hands. Seeing Gauri lying on the grass made him berate himself for wasting so much time. Life was so short and he was wasting it by showing hatred. If something had happened to her today he knew he would have lost the chance to live with her. More than that his guilt would have eventually killed him also. He was holding her and rubbing away the stray hairs on her face. Now more than ever he wanted to make up for all the bad deeds he had done against her. The fire was like a reality check to him which made him realise the value of a loved one and the importance of time. He saw Anika coming and she held Gauri's other hand. She looked devastated and he couldn't help but look at Gauri fondly because within a few days she had managed to win everyone's hearts and brought happiness for everyone.
Gauri slowly opened her eyes and started coughing immediately. Om and Anika patted her, Shivaay gave her a glass of water. After drinking water she felt better. 'Puttar tum teekh ho na? ' daadi asked her and Gauri nodded in yes as she was unable to talk at the moment because of inhaling too much smoke. Buamaa told that the first floor of the house is fine and not affected by the fire so they can take her there. Rudra suggested Om to carry Gauri as she was weak and couldn't stand properly. Gauri tried to protest but Om lifted her and went inside. Gauri looked at him and when his eyes found her, she was shocked to see such intense emotions in them. She saw fear, anxiety, concern and maybe a little love also in them. It was the first time those emotions were directed towards her. She couldn't help but get lost in those eyes. She had already forgiven him and now seeing his genuine care, his remorse over his deeds she decided to give him a second chance. Somewhere in her heart she already knew that he will not hurt her again. That this Omkara is the real one and the one who hated her was a misguided soul who was lost for a while and now that he had found his path again, he will aloow her to be a partner in his journey.
They reached Om's room and all the elders left after they were assured that she was fine and Om will take care of anything she needs. Anika sat near Gauri and they both hugged each other. Anika started crying but Gauri wiped her tears.
'Hum bilkul teekh hain Bhaujai, humein kuch nahi hua hai, aap tension mat leejiye.'
' Kaise tension nahi leti, tumhe uss tarah zameen mein lete hue dekhar mein kitni ghabra gayi pata hai tumhe. Mein tumhe bhi khona nahi chahti hun Gauri.'
' Mujhe kuch nahi hua hai, jab aap sab ka pyaar aur ashirwad mere saath hai, mujhe kuch nahi hoga.'
Rudra also hugged her and said, 'mein bhi bohot ghabra gaya bhabhi but humesha ki tarah mera superman ne aapko bacha liya. ' Saying this he hugged Shivaay also. Omkara also hugged him and said, ' pata nahi yeh ehsaan kaise chuka paaunga?' 'yeh kya keh rahe ho Om, ehsaan, mein tumhara bhai hun, Gauri meri choti behen hai, rum log ke liye mein kuch bhi kar sakta hun.' Gauri gave him a sweet smile and he also hugged her. She didn't say thanks but he could see her gratefulness in her eyes. Then everyone left and Om Gauri were alone.
Om didn't know what to do, there was an awkward silence but then he took a glass of water and gave to her. She took it from him and drank it. 'Gauri tumhe kuch chahiye? Throat mein burning sensation hai kya? ' ' Nahi Omkara ji hum bilkul teekh hain, aap chinta mat kijiye.'
'Omkara ji kya mein aapse kuch puch sakti hun? ' ' haan bolo kya hua, tablet chahiya? '
'Nahi, yeh puchna tha ki aap konse side par sona pasand karte hain, taaki hum dusre side le sakte hain. Soch rahi thi abhi se shuru karu.' Gauri said this with a straight face and Om was too dumb to understand the meaning and said 'mein left side pe sotha hun. Agar tumhe aur kuch nahi chahiye toh so jaao, mein neeche jaakar dekhta hun.' Saying this he went till the door and was about to open it when the bulb finally went off in his head and he understood what she was saying. He turned back and she had a "nothing can be done with you" expression. A large grin broke in his face and he immediately went to the bed and hugged her. She also hugged him,
'Thank you Gauri, mujhe ek aur mauka dene ke liye, tumhe pata nahi mein kitna kush hun.'
Gauri was feeling very shy but she also was smiling widely. 'Mujhe pata hai Omkara ji aap mujhe ek aur baar dukh nahi denge. Aap par pura vishwas hai. '
'Meine tumhare saath itna sab kuch kiya, phir bhi tumhe mujh par vishwas Hai? Om asked bewildered.
'Haan, kyunki aap bhi toh dard mei the. Lekin ab hum dono milkar ek dusre ki saare dard mitayenge. Sahi kaha na? '
'Bilkul sahi kaha, after all Dabang Gauri kabhi galat ho sakti kya? ' Both of them were smiling when Om remembered something.
'Gauri jab aag lagi thi, sab tumhe wahan se hatne ke liye keh rahe the. Tum kyun wahin par khadi thi?? Tumne toh wahan se hatne ki koi koshish hi nahi kiya? '
Gauri had a very sad expression, 'Omkara ji, humein aag se dar lagta hain. Jab bhi hum aise aag dekhte hain,uss din ki yaad aati hai.,' 'kis din ki yaad aati hai? '
'Jis din humne humari Didi ko khoya tha. Hum log kissi pradashan mein gaye the, woh anaat asram wale log hum bachon ko leke gaye the, tabhi wahan aag lag gaya tha. Didi aur hum ek dusre tak pahunchne ki bahot koshish kiye the lekin ek deewar gir gaya tha humari beech aur didi bhi uske neeche... 'saying this she started sobbing alot. Om hugged her and she said 'aaj bhi humein unki yaad aati hai. Woh humari maa ki tarah thi, jitni bhi takleef ho khud sehti thi lekin humein koi aanch nahi aane deri thi. Haan maanti hun maa bauji ne mujhe uss aag se bachaya aur itna pyaar diya lekin kabhi kabhi aisa lagta hai, humein bhi uss aag mein mar jaana chahiye. '
Om pulled her out from the hug and said, 'Please aisa mat kaho, tumhari didi bahot kush hogi tumhe dekhar ki tumhe itna oyaar karne wali maa mili aur ab itna bada parivaar bhi tumhare paas hain.'
'Haan Omkara ji, hum bahot kush naseeb hain, humein itna pyaar karne wala parivaar mila hai aur Anika bhaujai mere liye badi behen ki tarah hai aur Bade bhaiya And Rudy bhaiya mere do bhai. '
Shivaay was downstairs seeing to the repairs, when Om came down. 'Om, Gauri kaisi hai? '
'Haan Shivaay ab teekh hai, so rahi hai. Humari iss rishte ko ek aur mauka dene ke taiyyar hai. Usne khud mujhse kaha. '
Shivaay was very glad to hear it and hugged Om, ' iss baar kuch gadbad mat karna teekh hai? ' He said in a semi joking semi serious tone.
'Nahi yaar, koi gadbad nahi but phir woh bahot dukgi ho gayi. Meine oucha kyun woh fire se dur jaane ki koshish nahi kiya toh usne kaha jab woh choti thi tab uske orphanage ke log usse exhibition mein leke gaye the aur tabhi aag lag gaya tha aur gauri uski didi se dur ho gayi thi. Jab woh dono paas aane ki koshish kar rahi thi...
'Tab ek deewar beech mein gir gayi thi aur ek dusre se nahi mil paaye' Shivaay completed Om's sentence. Om was shocked
'Tumhe kaise pata hai Shivaay? '
'Gauri ki badi behen ne mujhe yeh baat bataya.'
'Kya keh rahe ho tum, badi behen? Par Gauri ne kaha woh toh deewar ke nerche gir gayi thi. Aur tum kab uski behen se mile? '
'Usse lagta hain, uski chot behen uss deewar ke neeche gir gayi thi. Mei usse roz milta hun Om. '
'Shivaay saaf saaf batao kaun hai woh? '
'Tumhaari bhabhi'!!!
Dun Dun Dun... Cue for dramatic music.
