Girl, I'm glad I read your post first before all the other posts from today! I actually JUST saw today's episode, and I won't lie I was upset with Shivaay at first! The moment he found out that there is a possibility that she is a Bajaj, I was like damn his mind is on over drive and that developing heart of his just disappeared.
We are being naive to wish for 25+ years of NKK to disappear because love came into his life. NKK is who he is, his identity and his whole life is based on that. It is like asking an artist like Om to choose between art and Gauri in the future.
Besides I can see why it would be a struggle for him to lose his prejudice based on NKK. He has had his share of worries, problems and issues where his Family is concerned but nothing in comparison to what Annika suffered. He has essentially led a very sheltered life from the real world because of the Family he was born in so this man has yet to actually deal with life's harsh reality without the Oberoi name diluting facts that are given to him.
Just like kings would walk their streets as commoners to get the real feel of their land so too Shivvay has to shed the Oberoi tag that his wife wears now and get to know the 'real Annika' prior to her becoming an Oberoi.
The gem cannot be polished without friction, nor man perfected without trials. -Chinese Proverb-

But as the episode progressed and he got a glimpse of Annika's past, I saw the pain in his eyes that expressed 1000 words! I realized right then this isn't a journey of finding Annika's past but rather HIS journey not just to abolish his NKK beliefs but also to seek redemption.
Annika has often mentioned and shared her fears, struggle and her experiences and that already left the man shaken the other day because he has already accepted that she is his wife now and as her husband the job of protecting, providing and keeping her safe (mind, body and spirit) is his now. She may be an adult now, able to look after herself, but that does not diminish his need and desire to be the husband he is - nurturing, supportive and caring.

Now place this same man in a room where he is given a recount of what his wife had to suffer as a little orphan. She was lost helpless and all alone in this cruel world filled with cruel people like him who judged her all her life based on her background or rather lack of it. Just listening to them relate the graphic uncensored details is going to have him feel like a 'bull in a china shop'.

He is going to use all that information and realize how much meaning her words had when she told him that day as she stood in the rain while he thought he had checkmated her with certainty, 'how did he expect that he would break her when this cruel world had already done it's worse to try and break her and had miserably failed'.
While he had used his Oberoi Name, Money and Power to achieve that, all she had used was common sense, her wits and her street smarts that she had perfected and honed over the years while dealing with arrogant and power hungry monsters like him.

Honestly, Annika had already suffered so much in life prior to coming into the Oberois lives. When she did enter their life especially Shivaays she always tried to protect them, but Shivaay always gave her hurt , pain and tears, though being the tadibaaz she is, she fought it! NOW, it's HIS turn! HE has to FEEL, LIVE, and UNDERSTAND that pain that Annika has suffered in life - either it be the pain from her childhood, adolescence, adulthood, OR the pain courtesy of the Great Shivaay Singh Oberoi!!!
As I said - the ore has to be melted at the highest temperature possible to get the pure gold
to flow out of its heart. Shivvay has to burn, go through torment and suffer agony at not being able to undo and mend all that the woman, who means more than his life now, had to go through.
Even his Naam, Paisa and Power will not be able to undo what has been done to her by him and others like him, in the past. He is going to realize what a 'low life' he had been to her and still is to want her to still have NKK so that he can see a future with her. He is going to come to understand that it is HIM who is unworthy of sharing her future not the other way around. He is going to feel honored that such a 'goddess' chose to be with him inspite of his terrible sins.
NKK by itself is not wrong but using only that as a yardstick when judging a person is wrong.

They say, what goes around comes around! I truly believe, the tables are turning and the wheel is spinning. How long this will take, i don't know? I do feel Annika and her past including Shivaays redemption is a long term thing, once Mahi's track opens up I'm sure all of this investigation and what not will come to a stand by and then will be picked up afterwards. I do feel that Annika's past has an Oberoi connection...seeing the pain he expressed today based on minimal information, I wonder what he would do if he finds out that it's because of the Oberois, Annika suffered all these years? ( that's if my assumption is correct)

lol ...Ms. Gul almost always has a connection

Oh and for the record, Pinky needs to go away I still say we should send her to dil bole, she can do all the Oh My Mata there, I will not complain😆
no way ... I want her to stay and eat all her words for breakfast, lunch and dinner while she repents and apologizes

Great post as usual Asya!!

i am kind of appalled at how some people are still questioning shivaay and his momentary happiness - well did u all forget the guy we are talking about? he will not leave her, and didnt have that doubt in his head- its just that being a blue blood, it makes things easier for him if she is one too; hence, the slight happiness
Absolutely true Ruzz. He was hoping that this is what the truth would be and it would be an easy solution and hence jumped at that conclusion.

him telling his mom didnt sit too well with me either but on the hindsight, she is his mother - so he went and shared his happiness with her as soon as he saw her - he didnt go looking for her, she was just standing there, waiting for him - hate her to the core, let me just get that out 😡
But I feel that he is going to be more cautious in the future seeing that (according to the spoiler) she has the tendency to blurt out information without tact and foresight, and cause more damage than good in the bargain. He is well aware of his mothers feelings towards Annika.

the way the gravity of the situation hit him was really heart wrenching to watch. he has just gotten to know how she got to the orphanage and he goes and hugs her (surrounding her like a wall) and then goes on to feed her paranthas (which we know he hates but just for her 😳), i am pretty sure she is not hungry but in his head he is trying to compensate for what the 8 year old anika went through the day mr bajaj found her 😳
Up until then there were only vague statements from her of how she would sleep hungry when she was hurt or sick but no graphic recount of that situation, which would actually make him cringe at that thought. Mr. Bajaj painted a picture that was more horrific than him imagining it.

now he has to find out more - what happened to chutki, how badly sahil's mom and bhua treated her - imagine what he will do! pinky, u horrible woman, beware - ur son will be ur worst nightmare soon
Oh! absolutely. This is not just Shivvay's journey but Pinky's as well as she has become a kind of 'stow away' on his ship that has embarked on its quest. She is going to be part of the collateral damage - not Annika

ps: people think he hugged her out of pity, hell no - he hugged her as the reality of her life just stuck him - he heard about her struggles from her but the actual impact only hits hard when a stranger tells you
Pity!!!! Dear God no!!! Pity was and is the last thing on the mans mind.

Actually he hugged her more to console himself than her. She is completely unaware of this situation and his reaction to it.
It is his torment and anguish now, not hers, so hugging her was a kind of relief that he had her safe and protected behind his 'Great Wall' now.
He was hugging her with relief that he was slowly understanding what she went through all these years and armed with that information he could now look after her better.

i am loving this redemption track unless harneet decides to turn into a complete horror show for us, i am super excited 😆
Me too!! 😃
