That hug scene could either be her imagination or the 'dufus' called Shivvay puts his foot in his mouth as usual about why her NKK does not matter to him. So she walks out because by the time he cools down, gets her msg and returns it is too late and she is walking out by then OR as I said he has managed t 'both feet in his mouth'. Either way something happens that makes it the last straw on the camels back (or Annika's back) and it breaks.
We know from spoilers that she does walk out without a backward glance and that Shivvay is unable to stop her.
She would of course confide in Chanda as to why she left home and when Chanda sees that Shivvay has come to take Annika back she is of course elated and happy for her friend.
Of course seeing SSO in his 'full form' would make any girl swoon as well 😉

... and even if he does console her it is probably going to come out all wrong right now because the man is in shcok himself and is just trying to do damage control right now where by he keeps his wife from leaving him forever , which he knows she is fully capable of (and it does prove true ...lol)

And honestly this track needs to be longer. shivaay needs to take a longer time to come to terms with this. I know he loves her but realistically he has to break away from all his beliefs that he's been feeding himself for the past 32 years.I want him to go through the tadap of what it would feel like to not be with anika. I don't want this track to super short and full of comedy because this is an important part of their relationship and it needs to be handled carefully. So anika i'm all for you throwing water at shivaay and stay with chanda girl! you need to make sure he's completely over his nkk before going back to him so that he doesn't pull any crap in the future.
And I agree as well. It cannot just disappear in the matter of a few days because that would ring so untrue. They only need to show the struggle for the next few weeks but not without Annika in his life because that would again be untrue that he is willing to let her go because of the NKK.
The struggle is there right now that he has to make a choice and that is what is the right thing to be shown. I am very happy with the way it is going - not overly sappy with a completely broken and sobbing Annika but she is shaken enough to understand that this is a monumental decision that is going to be made in their lives with respect to their future. I loved that her dialogues were completely real and not at all filmy and 'bang on' when she asked if inspite of not knowing anything about her was she still his wife. That is the major question here - not his responsibility, his duty or his need but HIS WIFE.

I am just glad that they are showing him in anguish that there he might be a chance that he might lose Annika altogether. I do not want a physical separation to be honest because that is not who ShivIka is. They do not abandon each other or MU at the slightest problem thrown their way. They stand and work together even when each is working out their own private issues. That is what defines them and sets them apart as a couple. Shivvay will never abandon Annika and vice versa, that is a given. The two are inseparable like Siamese twins joined at the hip.

Think about it, even if there is no physical separation living with that knowledge that one false move or statement on his part and she may walk out forever is a bigger 'Tadap' than her being physically away but pining for him as well. Living physically with her day in and day out with the fear of being emotionally apart is a bigger fear than with her being attached to him emotionally though she is physically apart. Emotional distances are harder to cover than physical ones. Hence his move to immediately go and get her back before the emotional distance sets in with the physical one.

I do not want to see Annika in anguish because that would not sit well with me - I only want to see Shivvay in anguish with regards to Annika having the choice of walking out on him of he chooses NKK over her and the CV's have executed it well.
