Its all for the sake of trps and catering to an audience who likes seeing abla naaris.
Its a money game to bait us with an independant character and then knowing we identify with her play tactics and make us wait for her to fight back again.

Although I still wonder who this particular audience is since my own mother who is an avid TV watcher (generation gap) has voiced that she really liked Annika before as she was presented as a protagonist with a difference but then succumbed to pressures after the forced marriage.

All the maker is bothered about is the money.Period.
Sad that when both writer & maker are women, they make every single woman character either a drunk,OTT or cheap.

They started with Annika being such an inspiration and now reduced her to a doormat who (maybe) today will even be called a rakheil and will STILL live in that house.

As for the actress, she seems to feel so obligated to Gul & company, that she even wears the curtain rags they give her without protesting.

Women truly are each other's worst enemies.

Half the people (like my mom and another friend's mom) dont even watch whats happening; they just play it because they started it. Certan things r neccesary fr trp I forgive that but really not even one strong female character?

P.S Doing a lot of data analysis in research (through which they come to know which track is working and which is not), I know how misleading it can be so...

Bad is the new good can mean various things; like someone being bad because of past, because of what they ve seen in family etc. It doesnt mean giving drugs to someone or manhandling sm1!!

As I already wrote in one of the replies: most people just cntinue for the sake of it; and some traditional stuff is ok also;but asking for just one strong character- is that too much. Till now, even with Anika, time and again I felt Gul tries to show somethng diff but they have to maintain trps but then the drug track in priveer is absolutely rubbish and without any need. Her being so scared; he could have easily managed to make her agree because he could have gone to court with Om's case- the Shivaay's false case and drugs is not needed and pathetic both

[LOL]

Nayi soch has nothing to do with education just saying... just because a girl is not educated enough doesn't mean she doesn't deserve respect

Interesting part is all the Vamps and side Female leads in Guls shows are educated, sophisticated. Tiya, Svetlana even Oms ex girlfriend Riddhima who was a social activist ( professional ) was really well presented. Infact Riddhima I think was the best dressed of all the female leads in Ishqbaaz till date.
In comparison look at the main FL Aanikas dressing, Saumya is a little better and worst dressing is of Gauri.

Why Gauri is only judged on the basis of her wedding dress. She don't wear that everyday just because the wedding track ran for 2 weeks. What's wrong in someone being 5th pass. Not all girls are lucky to have proper education. Gauri's language is not at all weird but nativnative language of UP. Anika being living in Mumbai uses street language.
