CH 8: BRUTAL TRAP"Please wait here madam, I will inform Sir"
Seconds like hours and minutes took days to past. Her heart was racing and beating in coordination with the ticking hands of the clock staring dangerously at her on the opposite wall.
Finally, the manager arrived showing her the way to his master's room.
She walked hurriedly behind him so as not to loose herself in the huge mansion.After a long walk they stood in front of a room with a closed door.
"Madam, You may go inside.", he informed and went away bowing his head in front of her.
"But, where is Shi... ???", even before she could complete he went away leaving her all alone in front of that door.
To say the least she was terrified not of being alone rather of being with him. She knew she had to talk to him, explain things but the images of those torturous nights came in front of her. He "THE MAN ON THE OTHER SIDE" was that damn stalker. She mentally slapped herself for not bringing anyone else along with her.
She pushed all such negative thoughts aside assuring herself that Shivay was neither a gangster nor a murderer.
She turned the knob of the glass door ahead with the required amount of torque and entered the room.
It was as dark as a black sky apart from the huge windows on the side throwing in requisite amount of moon light inside the room. A constant cool breeze kissed her cheeks, playing with the locks of her hair. She turned her head here and there scanning the surroundings, she twirled around in search of him.
She called out her name softly trying not to disturb the tranquility of the room.
"Shivay"
No response. Taking small footsteps she went ahead, slow and steady yet again calling out his name.
This cycle continued for a few minutes till she reached the middle of the room. Now, panic was blowing away her senses. She didn't know the reason though, whether she was worried about his absence or about his unknown presence.
All her thoughts were broken by the sound of something familiar to her. She turned back to confirm the source. It was the knob turning once again.
The door opened. A man entered the room taking slow yet swift steps. Unfortunately, his face was not visible to her. He moved, slow yet swift. The glistening moon rays slowly exposing his entire room as he walked towards her.
Anika scanned the figure in front. Her eyes moving in sync with his movements. His lips...nose...eyes...and then him.
He stood a few inches away from her. The person she had been searching for so long was right in front of her. She had a lot to tell but words refused to come out. She was feeling scared now.
"Hello Anika, What brings you here?", he asked, simultaneously occupying the large couch placed adjacent to the huge windows.
He crossed his legs and picked up the wine glass displaying a sense of superiority his demeanor held.
Anika gulped the lump in her throat and spoke.
"Woh...ap...mera matlab apne jo bola tha woh..."
"Woh? Ap?", he sipped his wine enjoying her nervousness. He patted the place next to him pointing Anika to sit there.
She sat there without saying a word. Her mind framed sentences to be spoken in a few minutes.
In the mean time, the butler entered the room with a glass of fresh juice and her heart leapt with joy for two reasons. One being the presence of a third person in the room and second was a glass full of carbs to give her the much required energy.
Once she was done with everything, she looked towards Shivay, who had not flicked his eyes even ones till then.
"Dekhiye Shivay, apne jo kuch bhi kiya mujhe nahin pata ki apne kyun kiya par mein apko yeh batana chahti hoon ki Omkara aur meri shaadi ke baare mein mujhe khud bhi nahi pata tha aur na hi uske pyaar ke baare mein. Mein chahkar bhi khud yeh shaadi nahi tod sakti...lekin", and even before she could complete, he pounced on her like a hungry lion.
He held both her arms tightly almost shaking her out of fear.
"Kya kaha tumne? Tum nahi tod sakti...tumhe yeh shaadi todna padega! samjhi tum?"
"Yeh ap kya kar rahe hain Shivay. Chodiye mujhe...Dekhiye mein apka gussa samjh sakti hoon aur mein apki madat bhi karna chahti hoon...", she spoke with tear filled eyes
"Madat? Did you just say that? Ha ha ha...", he laughed out loud leaving both her hands and moved ahead facing his back towards Anika.
"Help! Madat...Are you kidding me? Tumne sayad meri baaton ko seriously nahin liya hai abhi tak.", he grabbed her hands making her stand up and pulled her towards him a beast, "Mein kya hoon and mein kya kar sakta hoon sayad pata nahin hai tumhe, Anika. Mein Tej Bakshi ko barbaad karna aur woh mein karke rahunga chahe tum chaho ya na chaho"
Her eyes popped hearing what he had said just then.
"That means Shivay didn't want to break this marriage for Gauri rather he wanted it broken for revenge from Tej uncle? But, why and most importantly How?"
She looked into his eyes oozing hatred and anger at that point. She was barely aware of the danger she has walked but for now she decided not to reveal the dynamics of Om-Gauri relationship.
All the questions springing up in her mind were creating a havoc on her senses and she didn't know why her head felt heavy as if it could collapse at any time.
She looked towards Shivay for answers.
His face appeared blurred and she could feel his grip loosen on her. She massaged her temples with hand trying hard to keep her eyes open but she just couldn't. She looked here and there for a way to escape but she was too weak to even stand. She sat on the floor still holding her hand not able to understand, trying to move, go away from him while he plainly stood her staring at her struggling form.
Tears rolled from her eyes out of panic. She held onto the sofa for support when her eyes fell on the empty glass of juice. She slumped on the hard floor losing all her sense realizing that he had DRUGGED her!

He carefully lifted her unconscious form and headed towards his king size bed. Placing her gently on the bed, he deposited the pillow neatly to support her neck.
He went towards the huge windows and stood there staring at the lone star shining bright, it reminded him of the person he loved the most, it reminded him of a purpose, the fire of revenge engulfed him. His fingers closed into a fist and anger rose in his veins. He glanced at her sleeping form prepared to destroy her forever.
Guys I am extremely disappointed with the ratio of comments:number of views. If I do not get adequate response on this chapter I will stop writing this story and in case you want me to improve in some aspect please throw in your suggestions but poor response is damn disheartening😭
