That's actually a very valid point. The pain Shivaay must've gone through when Anika said "jab yaadain hee nahee toh ehsaas kaise hongey" must have been - was - unbearable. We saw that in his face.

However, Anika is doing this all for him and his family. And also, Shivaay hadn't made any promises to Anika so I don't know if she owes him anything.

Agreed. Who would've imagined Billu ji giving up a KHANDAANI OBEROI NECKLACE, something that's symbolic for his family, up for Anika. And that too, so easily. Without too many questions asked. LOVED that part. How far has he come.

No he does not Anisa because he does not know what it is to be in her shoes right now. He has not imagined himself in her place YET because he has not really understood her yet. He does not know Annika like she knows him. She has had a head-start in her journey towards understanding him but he has only just begun to know the real Annika.
There might come a day when he will but we have to wait for that realization till then. Strong, fearless, independent and proud were only words associated with her till now. It is only off late that he is getting a taste of what they really mean in context with her. The stone she is fast becoming worries me because she may make such a complete transformation on the day of the wedding (if this is not their plan) that he might have trouble breaking through.

Right now all he is driven by is 'his hurt' that she does not care about him or what he does. He is like a selfish child who wants what he wants at any cost because of his fear that he is losing her, the one chance at happiness in his drab and dull world. This is the first time ever in his life he has had something as precious as her all to himself.
But then he is also infuriated because he knows HE has to make the stand that she is his wife this time and that the ball is in his court. There is no Annika to bail him out of it this time with her "mera pati' chant because she is done and over with fighting for this relationship all by herself.

Why do you torture a woman who doesn't think she deserves you, to love?

Shivaay is not just any guy, he's the heir apparent of the Oberoi family, the guy who is in charge of the family. He carries his naam, khoon and khandaan in him.

He has a lot of manao-ing to do if he gets Annika back somehow. He just handed her a whole lot of bad memories. Trust me, we women, never forget these kinds of memories.

Annika's pain is increasing higher and higher, she is losing control more and more. With every barb and stab she is looking more and more forlorn and defeated.

Hey Annz great post as usual. The thing about your posts is reading them gives me more clarity to my thoughts. And sometimes when I am really confused , you just put me on a way.
The thing about Shivaay is if you see the 16th & 17th Feb's episode, he was ready to run just to keep Anika with him. And somehow he knows that she wants to stay she is just not admiting it. He, making an effort to find the video is more about keeping her with him. Bcoz when Mrs.Kapoor doesn't remind him of the blackmail he conviniently forgets about the video.
But in all this what he wants most is for her to be the way she was before the memory loss. So that he doesn't have to compromise his principles yet he has her with him. But the new improved or may be preteding Anika is asking questions. She just doesn't want to do the duties of a wife, she is also asking for the rights. Aptly put in the 16th Feb 'Is Riste ko main Kya naam do?'.
The pain in her eyes is so torturing even for someone watching I don't know how he keeps going even after seeing that. And then using his mother to taunt her. Damn. I hope he is the one who falls on his knees & begs her to stay bcoz he can't even breath without her. I don't want her to confess. I feel she has done enough already for their relationship. She is even giving him what he kept pretending to want. Leave her & marry Tia.

I have this personal experience of someone losing memory and forgetting all about her life and her family and everyone around...and it just shatters u...its painful and its just something where u don't know what to do and how to react...Shivay has been strong enough, trying to revive her memory and accepting her state of mind, taking so much care and showing so much concern and showering love upon her ❤️

@Bold: Yes Anika is doing this for him and his family, but emotionally torturing him so much was not needed even if she didn't include him in the plan or didn't want to or couldn't for whatever reason!

She has also not made any promises to him, except the marriage vows that they both took,so yes, they have certain promises and they do owe an explanation to each other over what they are doing, be it even for the family coz she is related to his family coz of him!

Necklace is still a small thing for someone like Shivay Singh Oberoi even if Khandani, its materialistic ...and I think he did that for Om not for Anika!😆

But for Anika, this guy who was all about Khandaan, was ready to leave the family and sneak out of the house with her, for Her Sake...for her health, her well being and just to be with her and give her a good atmosphere to recover!

Amidst all the mess in family and his life along with Mrs. Kapoor's threats and the danger of his brother's truth being revealed to the world, HE CHOSE ANIKA! He wanted to run away with her for the moment! That for me, means a Lot coming from Shivay! ❤️

Be it a guy or a girl, no one forgets the wounds ever, they teach u a lot, they help u grow as a person and make u wise, but forgetting is impossible, especially for people like Shivay!😆

Thank you for this lovely analysis. I think to a certain degree everyone is right about how hurt Shivaay is but very much like him as viewers we seem to have forgotten... he's getting exactly what he asked for.
