because Om is an artist y cant he a bussiness man.y should shivay always carry all d burden.rudhr should also help him. both his parents were in bussiness.so its there in his blood.no one want om to b like shivay.om is unique in his own way n in d same way shivay is also unique.and om will never b shown as shivay.if dey had to bucther him y to make a new show n show his individuaL journey.dey can do it in IB. Om is popular for his uniqueness.ie y dbo.dis change in om was necessary. i dont want om to b weakness of shivay but he should become his strength.he should take his responsibilities. dis is not only his individual love journey but also he will rediscover himself. and om is d darkest among the three with many layer.shivay is like open book.but om he suppresses his darkness.

May Be he has no dark past, but his present is no different than om's dark past , if you watch the earlier episodes especially episode 6 ,one can easily know the reason behind the famous nara of Shivay NKK, his parents might not have split but seeing his own brother going through something like that is not at all easy,hes not judgemental but hes seen how the world works at first hand he had to become that arrogant business man so that his family doesn't have to face those harsh world. he's the shield of the Oberoi family but no one is there to be the shield of him, he treats every relation as a deal because he hasn't seen or shown anything that's contrary to his belief.

I beg to differ, we will not call that Shivaay's dark past, he knows about om's emotional state and he's always concerned about him getting hurt.

SSO is judgemental because of his perception about naam khoon khaandaan, there are people rich and powerful but they are not always judgemental.

in bold: that perception will change too, he has yet to learn so much about relations.

Anybody.. Who have watched korean drama.. "boys over flowers"??? i guess IB also has same plot.. the story was of four friends.. All belongs to rich family.. One business man, one potter, casanova, musician.. and common girl like Anika.. here also we have same plot except we have only 3 male char.. But in this show we have OM mixture of musician and potter.. In that show, that potter lost his interst in his profession.. Due to his prev love relationship.. That girl left him and married his bro.. Becz she wanted commitment.. But he always used to postpone or ignore it.. Then he found one girl.. A commoner.. she helped him to come out from that situation and motivates him to continue his work.

So i wanted same thing for OM in this show as well.. But here OM is becoming businessman is weird.. Totally unexpected twist.. 😆 OM char will loose his charm.. 🥱

I guess I am lucky because I never watched boys over flowers😆or even ever heard of it.

Please don't mind but you are seeing om's character from boys over flowers perspective, and it cannot be helped.

Shivay is a one of a kind no matter how much I've tried to hate him for all his wrongdoings and his negative shades I've never quite managed to do so he can be pure evil and still there's something about the character that is so loveable

There's a daily soap in the uk where there's a similar female character who is always negative she has murdered blackmailed and done every bad thing possible but there's something about her that makes her still loveable and shivay is the same

There can't be another shivay so the new show should have its own storyline based on it own and not try to recreate the original character of om to become like shivay

About shivaay being selfless, with all due respect, he cannot be and he's never completely selfless without being getting selfish, but that's the most difficult and intriguing thing about this character, he's a complicated character, even when it comes to family he protects them like shield and for that he can go to any limit, even if it means making someone's life hell, like he did with anika and what he did to sahil.

for e.g he said sahil will have to apologize, he knew sahil was innocent but he had no choice as he was protecting omkara's secret about which omkara himself is unaware, before that he refuse to share omkara's secret with anika and at the same he admitted that how much he's hurt when he sees anika in pain. So he's both selfish and selfless at same time, which is very interesting to watch.

I also think that Om is his own person and even if he says he is becoming SSO he can never be, because he still places his heart on his sleeves. Today his principle of self reliance and the prospect of destroying Tej Singh Oberoi made him enter business, which is far from the materialistic thoughts of wealth or a real deal which are basically SSO's areas. Even when Omkara speaks of deals, he ends up involving the heart in them very unlike SSO

in bold: beautifully written, what he's doing has nothing to do with material things, it's rather a choice made by heart , because his heart is in pain to see his mother suffering and he wants to end this suffering, his reasons are not materialistic they are just the need of time and circumstances.

I just hope they are not ruining om's character fully

I believe that's what om's goal now, to become a strength for everyone and for his mother, he's taking a stand for her a bold step, because that's the most important thing in his life his first priority now, he clearly told shivaay how his life and existence would be without shivaay's protection and yes by doing all this he's also helping shivaay and sharing his burden.
