From a sad combined fan!!
(This is a sincere request from my side guys!!)
Yes, IB was marketed and conceptualised as a story of three brothers. But the makers and channel couldn't keep their promise. We can't blame them entirely for it. Its business, and everyone needs profit.
Three handsome hunks on a yatch would have definitely got our attention, but still I never took the pain to watch a single episode on tv!! Its my friend who urged me to watch it (she has completely lost hopes and ditched the show for jndsd) I binge watched 50 episodes on hotstar & then became an obsessed fan of IB land and its inhabitants (nakuul <3)
So after seeing the initial 50 episodes itself, we would have figured out that it wouldn't survive as a brothers's show anymore. It just couldn't, it would just be just shut down like some of such less fortunate SP shows. Shivika had somehow struck a chord with the normal tv watching audience. I don't know whether gul was being 'partial' or showing 'favouritism'. I felt she was just being inside her comfort zone. She is great in putting together a concept and also finding a flawless cast to deliver it. But she does fail in certain things. And bashing just doesn't work with her, she just gets offended. She is just used to handling more or less Shivika kind of love story. Even Om's character is being altered there.
But All of the above is said and done. And after all cries snifles, sobs & screams, the cvs and the channel had given us an ear. They have finally decided to show Om's love story( possibly Ru's too) through a spin off from the original, first of its kind on Indian television.
So what should we be doing, yes batwaara is happening and its painful especially for ShivOmRu fans. But its just like bidaai, there is a whole new set of hopes and dreams coming. As IB fans we should be proud that it happened on a show which we had so religiously followed, given our heart and soul to.
So all fans out there stop throwing brickbats at each other and please stay together, atleast stop spreading negativity (here and on insta)
So all only DBO fans don't forget your roots, IB gave you DBO, be grateful. Stop bashing IB and wishing for its downfall!!

Similarly all only IB fans, don't be Pinky aunty, let your child (DBO) grow and find its own fortune, I'm sure it will make you proud one day!! Enjoy IB!!

And finally ShivOmRu fans, I know you are deeply hurt with these progressions, the brothers being teared apart from each other. Don't lose your hopes let them sharpen their individual strengths, they'll come back together later, and be the real, equally strong pillars of each other. Shivaay, Omkara aur Rudra Shivji ki ansh hai and they'll stay together always!! (atleast in our hearts)
So please stop bashing IB & sso, wishing him to die and all, its so painful. Let's all wish for a happy joined Oberoi family and a strongly knit fandom too <3
