.there is a strange sense of strength in her even as she softens immensely to absorb all his harsh edges.

It is this strength that (bear with me here) is the most important quality of all the epic female characters I have ever admired: their resilience, which is so easily mistaken for weakness. And yet, for me, this is the strongest kind of female resistance that I personally admire the most. Off tangent here perhaps, but I truly admire the way in which such women negotiate their relationships keeping in mind their experiences, their perceptions on relationships, and their feelings towards the world and towards people that matter, and funnily, none of these require grand theorisations.

We can continue this discussion in private but the things I have experiences, my belief in such female characters and my admiration for them has only grown. For me, Anika is ALSO a part of such a woman who is just trying to live her life to the best of her abilities irrespective of the insane amounts of demands being imposed on her. I hear ya...I'm actually personally surprised by how they've managed to portray Anika...because most TV FLs exist as caricatures to be labeled easily...spitfire or doormat...so when we see an Anika who doesn't easily fit either label, perhaps it throws some of us for a loop...because we yearn to apply easy labels to peg the people around us...to me personally, it's striking to see that kind of SOFT yet FIRM strength...the paradoxical nature of it is fascinating...that this woman is just as capable of firmly scolding him, slapping him, pushing him away as she is of being so utterly soft in the face of his harshness...to be able to balance it just right...it's a fascinating watch...I give a lot of credit to Surbhi for this portrayal.

And you know what I realized...just the day before, he took so much care to make sure she ate her breakfast in the morning, at the table, with the whole family...so is it really so surprising to see her worrying about his dinner in the evening?...they've just fallen into these patterns without questioning why they care so deeply...so when those emotions spill over...they show up as compassion brimming in her eyes for him, or her breaking down in his arms even if he tries to be harsh to her again...it's kinda staggering how that deep that emotion is between them already without them having consciously acknowledged it even to themselves...perhaps that is why they get overwhelmed by it and it spills over as unsaid questions between the reality of their situation re: the divorce.

I loved all of this so much! I love how much was conveyed in that little line: that even to learn how to sew could be a personal privilege, involving a special personal relationship, involving another person (something she never had). This girl was made to grow up too soon, and we see glimpses of this often. There are so many people who do not know how to sew on a button (including me), but for her, it is NOT childhood privilege but the lack of it: she had no one guiding her. I wanted to give her a hug when she said that line and yet, that man didn't do anything except help her in whatever way he could. He distracted her just like he understood she was distracting him. Shows how they'll always shield one another. Yeah I found it touching for the same reason...and the fact that they showed it so subtly was another reason it worked...LOL also somewhere I got the sense that she was enjoying goading him into launching into his lectures..."aise karna chahiye...you can learn anything on the internet"...LOL so self-righteous he gets when he's trying to instruct her😆

This is their equation na...she will distract him in such a roundabout manner, breaking off his button, taking off on tangents about darzis in her gali...and he will take her mind off her lonely past by switching to their conversational banter too...

I love this about them. I love these things EVEN more when neither of them is intoxicated😆😆😆 Word😆...aaj kal they are giving us such gems without even being drunk...haha

Word! I am curious too..but bechara billu, usko time kahan hai. for him, it's literally
'duniya hasino ka mela'😆😆😆 LMAO😆 jab tak Tia and One-blouse lady leave, tab tak toh kya se kya ho jaayega😆😆😆 But on a serious note, I think it should be one of the major arcs of their relationship. It's important for him to accept her as she is, but it is also necessary for him to see how she was and why Absolutely...but with this show, we can never tell if/when they will go that route...let's see what they do😆

LOVE IT! ❤️👏...did you see this scene yet? Would have loved to know your thoughts on this bit of interaction too...especially vis a vis Shivaay wanting to shoulder the burden of his tension alone...used to doing everything on his own and Anika calmly asking him how being by himself will solve the problem...I'm just quite fascinated by how he's subconsciously started relying on her SO much as a sounding board in this track...the ease with which they've slipped into that pattern...for two people who were CONSTANTLY at each other's throats, to see them actually being able to share their thoughts so perceptively is quite interesting😆...jaise they are at peace after that one big MU being out of the way😆

LOL@ Khush and BW ki desperation for a dori scene😆

Jaise Shivika ka haal hai, dori scene bhi button scene ki tarhaan comedy mein nikal jaayega...shaayad Shivaay se dori rip ho jaaye, phir Anika khud khade khade hi usko apne aap fix kar legi😆

Kal ke button scene mein it was mainly Anika who was getting flustered watching him and then pretending to focus on the sewing...this guy only showed awareness when she initially took over the task of buttoning his shirt...uske baad they both happily took to argument to move away from any sense of awareness😆

Kisi ne kaha tha ki Shivaay Singh Oberoi kisi ke liye kabhi jhukta nahi hai.
And yet, there he was, kneeling to help her salvage what he himself had so callously thrown away.
I refuse to believe this was simply a matter of food and his lack of having any. I mean, of course, just as Shivaay has been so considerate of Anika's meals, Anika would be too.
But what I am implying is, that Shivaay is also throwing away a routine which is most likely motivated by the love and concern of the woman who FEELS these emotions for him, rather than just showing them. She has done this, and is facing his anger without ANY expectations from him; her only need at the moment is to ease his pain.

And this man, this man who has constantly been the one who feeds other people he loves: his family; this man, finally, has someone who cares about his own meals and thus, his problems as well.
Anika's line about how all problems can't be solved by themselves, or alone, is very telling since that is exactly what he's been used to.
In fact, the gentler tone he shifted to as he knelt to explain, almost justify that anger he had blasted her with mere moments ago, that tone shows how he WANTS her with him, no matter what he says or does.
And I think Anika eventually will understand this. I think they will remain a team despite this divorce drama, or else, we'd not have gotten scenes that show such solidarity.
It isn't about romance, you know, it's about understanding and solidarity, the fact that they HAVE each other at a time when no one else seems to understand what they're going through, as if all their paths lead only to each other.
