Chapter 4 :-
PRESENT:-
After taking a shower, when Anika came out of the washroom, she found some clothes kept on the bed with a note. She picked up the note to read it to herself.
'Wear these for me, please. And all your other clothes are kept in the cupboard. You can choose to not wear these clothes but I would be very happy if you do wear them. Come out for breakfast unless you want the whole family to have it inside the room with you.

There was a white silk top with a baby pink full-sleeved sweater and blue denims. It all got paired with her same footwear which she had named 'Chameli', but the present footwear was a modified version.
She smiled after reading the note and took a glance at the clothes. If it was some other time or was it some other person offering her these, she would have refused, politely of course. But this time, it was Shivay to whom she couldn't possibly refuse anything at the moment.
She quickly put on those clothes and checked herself in the mirror. She looked beautiful and that pink sweater was doing its work of hiding her wounds, efficiently. There was a long narrow scar on her collarbone which was visible a little but she covered it with make up.
After checking herself once more, she headed out into the dining hall where she met with the whole family including ACP Ran veer. That man showed up quite often nowadays even if nobody probably liked him after that Gayatri murder incident in which he accused Shivay of her murder. Anika had somehow saved Shivay at that time from him. She wondered what he was doing her after all that had happened.
When Rudra saw Anika coming, he immediately got off his chair and ran to take her in a tight hug, after all he had missed his sister. After that Dadi hugged her and welcomed her at the breakfast table. It seemed as if everyone was waiting for her to come and then they would have their breakfast..
After she sat down beside Shivay, Everyone started pouring in their questions about her health and well being. In between that, Anika noticed two people staring at her since the time she had arrived. One was a loving and satisfactory stare being Shivay's and the other was a curious one being ACP Ranveer's. When she looked at them not eben one of the two tried to roll his eyes away from her. She ignored them at first and started eating her toast but after a while, it was getting too much.
Rudra, who was sitting beside Anika, felt her nudging at his shoulder. When nobody was watching him, he turned to her.
"Yes, Anika Didi?" He asked.
"Do you know why ACP Ranveer is here?" She asked.
"Yes. He has some work with Dad and all of us. Its important for us as he said", Rudra said and gulped the rest of his protein shake in one go.
Rudra also told her about how Ranveer saved Priyanka from some pricks of her college. That was probably the reason why no one looked unhappy with his presence. He had indeed saved the most valuable possession of the Oberois and in return he got less of hatred and more of respect.

When the ladies of the Oberoi family finished their breakfast along with the others, they noticed that nobody was in s hurry for office, studio or gym. They all were still seated comfortably in their chairs.
"Don't you all have to go anywhere", Dadi asked to all of them.
" Oh my mata, Shakti ji, I don't want you to be late for your office. It would not look good in front of the employees", Pinky said, to which Shakti just shook his head in amusement.
"Yeh, I know you have a meeting today. I saw it in your schedule a few days ago. Why aren't you leaving?" Janvi asked.
Tej gestured her to stay calm and that he'd explain. Anika wanted to ask the same question to Shivay but she immediately realised that she was not a part of the family so she had no right to question anybody but little did she know that everybody already considered her one of them including Shivay.
"We have postponed all our meeting and work to the next week. Since the Oberoi family has faced a lot of attacks which caused a serious harm to one of its member recently, ACP Ranveer an Shivay Have decided to get ourselves trained to tackle these situations", Tej said, facing all the curios looks from everyone.
"huh?" Janvi reacted.
"Its an easy training so don't worry. its a training for defence techniques which includes meant and physical work. All you have to do is follow the instructions...We are starting from today", Ranveer said.
All looked unsure a little bit.
"Come on Dadi, Badi Ma and Mom. Get ready in fifteen minutes. We are waiting at the backyard", Shivay said, standing up from the table.
When everybody left except Shivay, Anika and him, Ranveer noticed Anika sitting on her place still and not attempting to go anywhere.
"Why are you just sitting here, Miss Anika? Don't you want to get ready for the training", he asked.
"She's not well which you know. So she'll just rest in her room if she wants and will start from tomorrow", Shivay said, immediately.
"I bet you She can start from today. She looks just fine. Right Miss Anika", Ranveer asked, having a small smirk plastered to his face which didn't go unnoticed by Anika. Shivay was ready to repeat his words again when Anika interrupted him.
"I can start from today", She said, her voice a little hesitant but her posture defined confidence.
"Are you sure, Anika? I mean I don't want you to get sick again. Do you really want to start now?" Shivay asked with a voice full of concern.
"Yes, I can start today itself. Don't worry, Billuji. I am fine. Just wait for me outside while I collect my phone from your room", she said and walked away while he just grinned hearing 'Billuji' again from her.
