Snapshot 3: A Little Green Monster and A Little Romance
She saw them together, laughing and dare I say she was jealous. The green monster was peeking through and she was fuming. Priyanka Ranveer Singh was jealous. Right now, the reason for her jealousy was the woman with her husband while she, the wife was waiting, sitting at a table. Have to freshen uphe said, will take a short while he said. Why was he still talking to her? Randhawa came and saw his sweet little wife, not blinking, staring straight ahead. He followed her eyes and it landed on the woman across, who he was talking to just a few seconds ago. His lips turned upwards, he knew what was up. She didn't talk nearly as much as she usually does, during the entire duration they were at the restaurant for their little lunch date. She would look behind him and when he would follow her gaze she would immediately pretend to focus on something else. Ranveer Singh Randhawa knew what was up. He was not oblivious. When he asked her what was up, all she did was stare at him, and then focus on eating.
"Who was that?" she asked failing to hide the irritation in her voice, as they entered home. Priyanka smiled at Mrs. Jones, Ayaan, their son's nanny as she approached the duo. Her earlier dark mood was now gone, even for a little while. "Ayaan baboo is sleeping ma'am. I'll take my leave" The duo smiled at the lady in her 50s, and told her how much they appreciated her service.
"Who?" Ranveer asked innocently, as soon as Mrs. Jones left and he closed the door. How he loved teasing her. "The lady you were talking to at the restaurant" she said, annoyed. "Oh that was Natasha," "Natasha? Who's Natasha?" She asked, failing to hide her annoyance. "She's an old friend from high school," he said, his smile never fading. His wife was jealous and he thought it was actually cute. Priyanka was never a controlling wife; neither was she someone who would inquire him about every single thing he did, nor was she easily jealous or even insecure. Not for once had she ever said that he was not allowed to have any friends - even if they were girls. She trusted him enough to let him have female friends and not snoop on him. So Priyanka being jealous was a rare occasion and for some unknown reason Ranveer actually thought it was amusing. "I see the little green monster finally peeked through" he said, amused, his smile now turning into a full grin like that of a Cheshire cat. "What green monster?" she asked, her annoyance not fading. "A little birdie told me that a certain little Missus finally was jealous," he said, his eyes holding a mischievous glint and his smile turning into a smirk. "I am not jealous," she suddenly said, like a deer in the headlights. "Oh, I never said your name though love," he said, acting innocent. She blushed, embarrassed. He chuckled, something he used to do rather rarely at one point, unlike now - he does it rather often now. Priyanka loved it when he laughed - a hearty laughthat none knew Randhawa was capable of having. "You are honestly too cute for words" he said and she blushed harder.
He took her hands in his own and said "I love you. I can never replace you." She looked up at him, and he continued, "Babydoll, you don't need to be jealous. She is an old friend and we just happen to run into one another today after almost 10 years." "Ranveer, I don't want you to misunderstand me. I trust you, you have to know that, I don't know what happened - " she said, in a serious tone. He stopped her mid sentence, smiled and said, "I know, and I trust you too" and put his arms around her waist pulling her. "I honestly missed you so much during my stay at Calcutta. Longest month of my life" he said, his devotion reflecting in his eyes. He bent down and kissed his wife, putting all his love, passion in it. He was telling her that he loves her over and over again. His wife returned all of it; she put all her admiration as she kissed him back. It's like she was telling him how much she missed him, all of him - his words, his love, his touch. They were like two lovers in newfound love. Some people said that honeymoon period lasted for a short while but maybe, just maybe for this couple, it was forever.
