I have discussed this so many times with my friends.. the conclusion was shivay always felt that he knew Anika. however she said yes to marry Daksh when he said she wouldn't. She said it coz she wanted to prove to Shivay she isn't affected by him. But to him that meant he hardly knew her as much as he thought he did. Then the misunderstanding created by Daksh, it was easier for him to believe that anika could sleep with Daksh for money coz he thinks with his mind and not his heart. He was always like that.

Now coming to the marriage, 2 brides running away and he was desperate... and desperate times call for desperate measures. The only option to save his reputation, family name and stock prices from falling was to marry the only girl available at that time. And so he did, though she never fit in the criteria for being the wife of SSO at that time. But he didn't have any option. He this became the beast he did coz he had to make her agree and she wouldn't agree without being blackmailed hard into it.

PS: I am not justifying what he did. I condemn him too and am no where supporting him.

But the villains have obviously done their jobs well. Else they wouldn't have earned their long term berths on the show.😡 Somewhere they also have a hand in making him that much of a beast that day.

If he didn't love her he could careless about "ONS" or taking money for "ONS" that is not something to effect him at all. He never show any attention towards the other woman in his life and what they do, Tia would go shopping out of the world go to night clubs and he never call to check on her and Mallika we all know he never used to call her back to check on her either with Anika he's very possessive of her, he always check up on her so its his "Love" for her that turned him into a monster, he is very effected by the "ONS" he punched the wall and break vase even before Daksh told him that Anika took money for "ONS"

Though he had no right to feel cheated on or betrayed cause he was marrying another woman but that's who he is a confused soul who's battling with his mind and heart. Before I never understand or get this character but recently I was able to understand him well.

Maybe shivay was always a monster like it was shown when he first met anika and put her through so much just to see her defeat and after the one night stand thing he went back to that coz he didn't see a way of getting with anika but again he was getting married to tia even though his heart was attracted to anika because he can't let his heart rule his head.

But if he his angry about anika selling herself to daksh then he has no right to be really because he himself thinks that every relationship is a deal and he himself is selling himself to tia so his company can grow and the business merger would make him profit

So a person who sells himself has no right to point fingers at another never mind turn into a monster because of it

I am leaving aside Anika's engagement to Daksh or that ONS MU. Yes these things have clouded his mind about his opinion of Anika. But even if that had not happened, he still never intended to listen to his heart and marry her. Because he was not willing to give up on his NKK beliefs. On the day of marriage, till the last moment he was convincing himself to marry Tia and he would have gone ahead had Tia not run away. So Shivaay was in control of himself till then.

But Shivaay wants to be in control of other people too and he hates that he has never been able to control Anika. And he could never ignore her and her utter disregard to his control or opinion affected him. He has always lived according to his own rules, being rich and powerful no one questioned his actions. But Anika did and he has resented that somewhere. Even in case of Dev, he was mad that Anika does exactly opposite of what he tells her to do and said rude and mean things to her. So here in his marriage when he was convinced that richa was made to run away by Anika, he lost it again for her interfering in his decisions (which in a way was right till then that Anika should not have done and allowed him to face whatever he was doing) But then she also slapped him then and he lost sanity there.

Every person has some evil streak in him and we learn to control it with education, love and social etiquette. But it can come out in some people at times who have anger management issues . There are people who commit murders and rapes and other crimes in a fit of anger or mad moment and can regret it later for their whole lifetime.

Shivaay is a dark personality and he admitted it to Anika to that he is not nice. He has still not regretted what he did to Anika and thinks he did what as right. He believes that he has certain privileges by being rich and girls/others like Anika don't . And being in business it is possible that he has seen that almost everyone can be bought with money, His opinion was almost changing when he was made to think that Anika took money for ONS. How he will change his beliefs and start respecting not just Anika but others is interesting to watch. I just hope CVs don't make a mess of this journey. Because so much has been invested by them in Shivaay
