If he was an orphan, you can say Sahil has no proper upbringing. Sahil is not an orphan as he has a sister, who has an even bigger responsibility of how he should behave in public coz it shows how she brought him up. No child is taught to harbour so much of anger that he resorts to hitting his elders. Try giving this as an excuse in real life, even Anika will be publicly humiliated for Sahil's actions.
And no reason can justify a child hitting an adult. Whatever happens between adults, it is only dealt between adults. Children have no rights to interfere. Even if he was standing up for his sister, he should have done it in a dignified way not by hitting an adult. That is considered ill manners. If he wanted he could have just ordered his sister to leave OM, in fact if he thinks he is an adult, he should have done that. Told her we may be poor but we have self respect and can live respectfully even in the streets.
