😆 Glad to see that the laughs are still rolling out.
I thought there was only going to be a two word summary to this episode:
1. Robin !!!!
2. Omru -- used by Shivaay in the precap! I wanted to shout "Mind that language!" at him just then. 😆
For the rest, I thought it was a pretty cool episode. Ya, they're still parodying themselves to death, and I agree, Shivaay seems to be key instrument of parody.
I'm with you: I didn't get the extreme response Shivaay had to seeing Sahil's handicap. It's like he has never imagined that such a thing was possible -- your 1% vs. 99% analogy fits nicely here. I thought that his first call to Khanna was to assure himself that the handicap was not caused by the kidnapping effect; that it was just that the royal HE himself had gotten it wrong. That was too real to be a parody, and made total sense with the character that Shivaay is in some sense. The man who Anika once described as walking around with his nose stuck up in the air.
While I agree that Anika's thank you to Pinky was weird, it did help the context of her sweeter lines of regret when bidding Daadi goodbye -- this must have been the first time in a long time that Anika was actually in the middle of a zany but loving family. No matter how fiercely independent she is, she seems to crave the family setting.
Personally, I thought Shivaay's expression through the whole episode had the air of a hidden thoughts and trickery.
1. In giving Anika the divorce papers, he has actually handed over the keys to his freedom to her, hasn't he? No matter how unofficial and hidden the marriage was, the divorce papers make that marriage _legal_ for the first time. If Anika chooses not to sign, he (well, Tia) is doomed to be tied in holy/unholy matrimony to her.
2. The claim about having sold the house is bullshit and (if I can be allowed to read it that way) more smart psychology on Shivaay's part on understanding Anika. I bet if she had just walked out with Sahil at that point, she would find that nothing of the sort that he claimed had happened. He was just betting on (a) her being innocent about what he can do and how fast and (b) her very real fear of not providing for Sahil being a bottleneck in her being able to think rationally about it.
3. His ''man to man'' to Sahil was also smart psychology, I thought. He was there watching the panicked fuss that Anika was making when Sahil fell, and Sahil's desperate attempts to stop her because everyone else is watching and "I'm a big boy now!" OF COURSE, that would be the way to get Sahil to both be open to talking with him AND to get Sahil away off from Anika's influence.
Hey, I could be completely wrong about all this, but for some reason, in his Anika conversations, Shivaay totally looked like the cat who had swallowed the cream. Unlike the previous episode, where all he could do was helplessly and hopelessly react to everything that she did to him. The previous episode was ... Shivaay love for Anika. Maybe that's why I am reading this episode the way I am.
Ya, while I got Daadi and Om Rudra beseeching with him, I am curious to see if they also get what Shivaay has pulled off with his ''I sold your house'' routine, and will use it to play up the pressure on Anika to stay.
All in all, not bad, I thought. 😊
