LOL lagta hai tumne Daadi ka pura lecture dhyaan se nahin sunaa...understandable, considering it was all mostly khichdi and flimsy b.s. anyways😆.
What I managed to understand was that Daadi is like, "Fine, if neither of you want to accept the shaadi, and want to get out of it/divorce each other etc...but until you are TECHNICALLY married, you will NIBHAAO it's responsibilities"😆...I'm presuming by that she means keeping up the social appearances and general technicalities.
In response to this declaration from her, neither Shivaay or Anika said anything so it was implied that they gave in reluctantly (convenient cop out😆...also they are both Daadi ke chamche so kinda believable that they don't fully go against her emotional blackmails).
So the gist I got vis a vis Anika is that she hasn't accepted the marriage mann se but feels pressured by Daadi to fall into the role of Shivaay's wife/Oberoi bahu...so she lands up at Oberoi Mansion but looks quite uncomfortable/awkward...Daadi/Rudra are on their own trip wherein they think she's only nervous cuz of the public attention of being declared Shivaay's wife😆 so they try to calm her down.
Re: the moment you're talking about wherein she was "anticipating" Shivaay taking her name...she was mainly following Daadi's instructions...since Daadi was under the presumption that all parties had agreed so she was trying to coach Anika through the procedure of a photo op...Anika wasn't exactly looking happy/joyous walking over to him...she looked confused, with mixed emotions on her face...Daadi's mumbo jumbo ringing in her ears all the time...supposedly Shivaay's too given the amount of random FBs they show of the shaadi😆...and then she looked surprised when Tia's name was called out cuz again, Daadi's coaching had prepared her for something else...this was a last minute change😆...why upset? Cuz it was humiliating regardless of whether she has accepted the marriage or not...rest was slow motion and tears for TRP TRP TRP😆.
I don't find Anika pretentious just yet...her spirit does assert itself from time to time...right now, she seems more hurt and confused than anything else and unable to cut herself away from this situation given the pressure from Daadi...so she swings between feeling suffocated and wanting to get away and then being the obedient bacchi in front of Daadi even though she isn't happy.
Shivaay's assertions about anything are totally hollow and meaningless at this point...khokhla hoke reh gaya hai woh😆...the way he keeps flipping every other moment based on pressure from his family or Tia...he's a laughingstock😆
