You know what, that is true. Itna gherha hate can only come from a time when Om must have adored his father, only to be hurt beyond belief by him. I thought originally that Tej's affairs was what led to the drug use, but it seems that's not true-- Tej has destroyed his CHILDHOOD, so that is longer than 2 years ago, when he started his drugs. And when you see how Shivaay is almost a duplicate of Tej and Omkara absolutely worships his brother, its not Tej's business practice or ruthlessness Om has a problem with--since Shivaay is a ditto copy there. It must be in childhood.
I think that part of the Om track should be a flashback explaining this. Another thing, Tej has a really peculiar bias towards Om, where his son's every word or action usko chub ti hai-- more than even Janvi's words. That scene when Om removes Tej's clothing from the wardrobe and talks to Tej almost normally, was really touching. Such a ruthless man, who just longs for his son's regard. And Om reacting to Tej like he does when Tej gives him the papers-- I feel like everything Tej tries to do for Om is almost fated to fail and to hurt his son. He gets his signature, but makes Om lose his girl.
If Om has a son, or adopts a son, who's mother he has hurt, he then becomes like Tej, in a way. I am a big fan of amnesia tracks here, where the mom is maybe in a coma or something, and Om out of guilt keeps her child, she wakes up, romance, etc. If that happens, Om will actually understand the pain of doing something to your son you cannot undo, hurting him and not being able to get forgiveness. Its a good track, and it might mend the Tej-Om relationship. Later the mother can come in for the usual romance.
