It was an honourable let down, if I must descibe it.

Shivaay called for his whole family to gather. It has always been shown that Shivaay has been reluctant to say sorry or thank you to Annika. And he did yell at her in front of everyone when he found Dev in the house. He yelled and rained down all sorts horrible insults at her and fired her in front of all.

And she came back and helped him anyway. So what does he feel for her ?

Gratitude? Friendship? Team spirit?

Fondness?

Infatuation?

Because she is an enigma. Unbound by haughty manners and propriety, she is so much fun and brings in sunshine and laughter. But he needs a wife. So she made him laugh. Will she be able to be a socialite? Be an elegant host to his business friends? Know how high society works and be friends with the right people for him?

Sounds shallow, no? But that reasons are why he chose Tia. he didn't chose a companion for himself. He chose a high society wife. He thinks its time he married, and he chose it in a business-like manner.

Rudra and Om can see what Annika does for Shivaay. She neutralizes his acid mannerisms. He is more human and relaxed. More than all the reikis and chanting ever will do. Tia is an enabler of Shivaay, which is what he wants. 'Just do as I tell you' is Shivaay's manner with Tia.

But those 2 times that he was drunk/ drugged, he showed her how he really is inside, when his shields are down. He really made a kichdi of her feelings those 2 times. Annika is really confused and hurt because of those 2 events.

She thought her far fetched dream of being loved by someone was actually coming true. Who can stand stone hearted when Kanji eyes were murmuring sweet nothings at her and touching her hair and holding her? *faints*

So he made a business decision. Tia is more useful to him in the business sense and more practical. But he feels bad because he would be letting Annika down.

So he staged a dramatic thank you speech, in front of everyone. And decided to go ahead with the marriage with Tia, as originally planned. Well, he could've done the letdown in private, but he needed everyone in the house to know right then, that he had made his choice and he will not change it. Commited.

Annika still has her job. Tia gets her 'Universe sanctioned' shaadi, he gets a wife. Say nothing of this thing called "Love"

I can't wait to see how unhappy he will feel now.

First of all, this is such a beautiful piece of writing. 👏 👏
I read many posts today in this forum, but NO ONE wrote Shivay's POV as beautifully as you did. Just brilliant. I agree with every word you said and please keep writing.

Its not even dilemma this time...its pure ego...mind over heart n he feels that both are in his control but sadly, he has lost both, lost his mind that even after untying the marriage knot, he again got officially engaged to Tia...only to again leave her at the altar...and he has lost his heart to Anika which everyone knows along with him but his humongous ego and his blinded beliefs do not let him see beyond that!

I m just disappointed...that after a girl chose to risk her image n stake her honor for a man like him, and he fought those goons for her, told that Sorry...all that "hamare beech kuch to hai" crap and sleeping on her shoulder and those moments, he led her first only to push her off the cliff later.!!!

m happy in a way that he took a decision n chose Tia but the way he did it, right infront of her knowing how n wat her reaction would be, was not really done...that's now how u repay to someone who u owe ur life to! :(

I'm waiting for the scene where Shivaay complains.. just that one time by chance... about how everything still doesnt seem right for some reason..And our beloved Omkara Singh Oberoi will be there to just give it to him... You made the decision, now you deal with the consequences Shivaay... You could have consulted with the smart bro like Rudra suggested but you didn't now deal with it.. I'm counting on O to give the logical lecture he needs soon *fingers crossed*

Why so much anger people? Seems like Shivay is the most hated character in the show. 🤣
He just stayed true to his character yaar. I felt very bad for Anika too, but he is not accepting his feelings for her and running away from it. I bet neither was she ready for it.

It is fun to watch them as Shivika, not just as Shivay or Anika.

I felt awful for Annika. Her feelings were toyed with, and she didn't deserve it. But as much as I root for ShivIka, I must acknowledge that Shivaay is not quite there yet with his feelings for her. He feels something like an attachment, but it's not love yet. On either side actually.

My cheesy romance side wants desperately to see a guy hit on Annika while his wedding prep is going on. Watch her with full on jealousy. 😈

Yes it is his ego that is preventing him from acting on his feelings. But he did say thank you with such generosity to her, with respect in front of his family. He is very grateful, but it's not soul touching enough YET for him to abandon his life mantra.

He may fancy her for himself but everything he does is for his family and business. I guess that's the journey for ShivIka. Make no mistake, Shivaay will come to a point where everyone will know how much he loves her. just not now...

You know his type. Once he's decided he will stew on it himself 😆 .. Om does talk like his conscience sometimes, but by the looks of it, Om will have his own troubles to deal with..

He threw this statement also: You won't know the value of something until you lost it. I'm really banking on this 😉

I think they were just as hopeful as Annika was 😆
