Even I didn't keep much hope in this track, but I was atleast expecting that the track will not butcher the character of Om, but I guess, it is wrong to expect anything

Now turning him liar, murderer, and hypocrite is the major setback for his characterization. If he is hiding his crime then how can he claim he believes truth anymore. No one will relate to him now. Usually when someone gives a lot of gyan , they also need to lead by example. Now Om can never question others on their manipulative business practices. Even the confrontation scene with Ishana (i dont want to bring trouble by mentioning her here, dont take this otherwise , this is only for example ).

What right did Om have to question Ishana , who only swindled people out of money and never murdered anybody?

See the hit-and-run is not the problem. Its the fact that Om hid it which makes him a grade a hypocrite.
