Totally awesome write up .⭐️

Couldn't agree more with you that this show needs an antagonist / a foil for both character development and conflict . Joining you in prayers that this guy is here to stay. If you look around the forum it looks like the ACP has won hearts and it's great that so many here feel that he is the answer that we are looking for.

Btw the man seems to be super efficient . The murder took place very late at night and within a few hours the time of death is ascertained, evidence gathered and the ACP himself is at the door in the morning making his heroic entry .😆

Fab lesson 101 in story telling.👏👏👏

That said..hope Gul has the sense to keep the foil around and we get to see the takkar scenes and also the jealousy track.

OM had his spot after ages in his scene with Shivaay and Rudra is going to have his with Somu soon..it has begun already...outside of his bade chai's shadow.

Hope to see more of Om... now.. and the ACP..tadibaaz II.

Forget rabbit on skates. Shivaay has been acting like a bipolar maniac on steroids for the last month or so. Totally unreasonable & omnipotent. Even Tej kowtows to him. There is no challenge.

He wants to marry. The whole family is for it.

He gets up and walks away from the mandap. The whole family is okay with it.

He decides Dev won't do for Priyanka. No one has the guts to challenge him.

Om & Rudra are ineffectual in dealing with him. They don't have his power.

Now ACP seems to be one who na jhukta he, na bikta he...like someone we all know. Anika. Shivaay has met his match, I hope.

Was glad to see Shivaay cornered yesterday. Long may the war continue. And if the ACP is the unfortunate munda set aside for the wimp, Priyanka, I hope he buys a spine for her.

ACP Taaribaaz is already echoing Shivaay's intractable "haan ya na". Shivaay's supercilious attitude is unlikely to faze him.He will hopefully continue to be someone who can't be swatted aside.

You're definitely right
The whole foil thing is new to me, thanks for the definition. Kind of sounds like nemesis but that implies negative, whereas "foil" is not negative or positive. Pretty cool!

Yes Anika is way to overused.
I wanted a jealousy track but honestly Anika has her foot in everything, literally! I like her so I don't mind but common why have all the extra characters then?

Hi!

I am glad you made a post on this. I was about to make one too about how Anika is seemingly stretched to fit many categories.

Now that the "Foil" character is introduced, I hope it is a permanent one, hopefully the characterizations will get multiple dynamics now.

From an ardent viewer, I have descended to a detached one, not even viewing the episodes lately and simply reading the Written Updates because of the lose way the tracks have been proceeding. It had literally become a MELA with some characters entering than leaving after one to three episodes.

Hopefully this time things would take a better turn.

Good thoughts. I agree! Even i went through all the emotions and frustrations as you'd mentioned. There should be someone to mellow down SSO's pride. Man! This ACP is HOT!!! Like you said, wish there was some jealousy track happening. Yes. Anika's character is being overused. One moment shivay considers her as family next moment he throws her out. Omru's character which has good potential is being sidelined. Gul and her experiments will surely reduce the trp someday.

Awesome piece! I was riveted by the swaggering cowboy ACP Randhawa too! He didn't even twitch to SSO's death stare. He just walked in and interrogated everyone, and everyone cooperated nicely too. But he has a certain style. I gather he doesn't quite believe Shivaay did it because the evidence is laid out too conveniently.

But he has a formidable poker face. He laid out his suspicions and it looked so convincing that Shivaay had to deny in consternation: " I didn't kill Gayathri!!"
