Anika walks into Shivaay's room with a huge bundle of folders on her arm. She was looking down at the top-most page, trying to make sense of the calculations when she suddenly collided with a hard back.
"Ouch!" Shivaay screamed. "Can't you watch where you're going?!"
He twisted to face Anika and saw that she was on her knees collecting papers scattered on the floor.
"Aise tadapti machli ki tarah mat chillayie! Kuch nhi hua hai, Billu ji." After collecting everything she rose to her feet looking Shivaay square in his eyes.
"Tadapti machli?! Fishes can't scream," Shivaay stated in the most factual tone ever.
"Shukar hai. Nhi toh voh abhi chilla rahi hoti aap ki harkate dekh kar," Anika responded.
"You know what, I don't have time for this. Mujhe koi farak nhi padhta. I have to leave for an important meeting. What did you come here for?" Shivaay asked impatiently.
"Duniya bhar ke saare kaam aap hi ko hai na," Anika murmured under her breath.
"Veh phusphusa kyun rahi ho?" Shivaay asked, irritated.
"Aree vah Billu ji, aap toh ek baari mein hi seekh gaye!" Anika praised him on his language as Shivaay looked a little shocked at himself. "Actually, mujhe kuch documents par aapki rasamandi chahiye taaki main abhi jaakar unke order kar saku for Adirut's homecoming party," Anika explained.
"Rasam... what?" Shivaay looked stupefied.
"Rasamandi! Umm, aapki confirmation?" Anika explained.
"Theek hai, dikhao." Shivaay forwarded his hand for the documents.
After skimming over the pile quickly, he handed it back to Anika while nodding his approval, knowing that if she had selected these then they would be perfect. He would never admit it out loud though, obviously.
Before she could leave, he quickly picked up a file from his bed and handed it over to Anika, who raised an eyebrow in question.
"Tum ne mere liye bahut kuch kiya hain. Meri aur meri family ke liye, I mean. So, I wanted to repay you by gifting you a house. It's much better than your small dingy abode and you really shouldn't be living in that shady chawl." Shivaay spoke with his usual sneer. Though the idea behind the gift was noble, he still had a long way to go before learning the art of gift giving.
"Maine aapko pehle bhi kayi baar bola hain. Mera ghar jaisa bhi hain, mera apna hain aur main usse khush hoon. Aapko meri help karne ki koi zarurat nhi hai, main yeh sabh apne liye khudh karna chahti hoon." Anika responded pushing the file back into Shivaay's hand.
"Toh main abhi auto se jaati hu party ka kaam khatam karne," Anika said.
"Auto se kyun jaogi? Main chode dunga, chalo."
"Par aapki toh meeting thi na?" Anika reminded him.
Shivaay faltered. He had forgotten about the meeting within seconds and it was very unlike him. He had to get a grip on himself, pronto.
"Maine kaha na ki main chorre dunga. Why do you always have to argue with me?" Shivaay walked out of the room knowing fully well that Anika was following him.
"Main argue karti hu?! Main?! Dekhiye, aap..." Anika started her tirade but was interrupted in the middle.
"Please for god's sake tum phir shuru mat ho jaana." He chided her.
Anika bit her tongue, thinking it was useless to fight with Shivaay and followed him to the car. Sitting inside, they both kept stealing glances at each other when the other wasn't looking and this continued before Anika spotted a golgappa vender on the sidewalk.
"Gaadi rokiye!" She all but screamed, scaring the living daylights out of Shivaay.
"What? Par kya hua?" Shivaay slowed down the car, fearing for the worst.
"Dekhiye gaadi rokiye varna main gaadi se kood jaungi!" She threatened and Shivaay immediately hit the breaks, worried.
Anika quickly got out of the car and ran off to the golgappa vendor and Shivaay was left flabbergasted in the car.
Yeh ladki bhi naa. Kissi din jaan hi le legi. Who does so much drama for some unhygienic golgappe? Main vaise hi late ho raha tha, upar se abh yeh.-S
Quickly unbuckling his seatbelt, he walked over to Anika, but as soon as he opened his mouth to scream at her, she turned around and stuffed a golgappa right in his mouth. He squealed before munching on it angrily, realising as an afterthought that it was really tasty. Before he could utter a word, Anika launched in her defence.
"Dekhiye gussa mat karna. Mujhe pata tha ki aap mujhe yaha aakar daant lagane vale hai toh maine jo maan mein aaya voh kar diya..." She kept on ranting hoping that today this Baagad Billa wouldn't fight with her but Shivaay was busy staring at her, wondering how crazy a person could be. She was still going on when he gently placed his palm on her lips to shut her up.
She stared into his eyes surprised as he continued to hold his hand on her mouth.
"Chup. Bilkul chup. Main kuch nhi keh raha. I just came to pay. I told you, when out with me, I pay." Shivaay took his hand away to pull his wallet out of his back pocket and handed a few bills to the vendor, telling him to keep the change.
"Abh ghoorti hi rahogi ya khaogi bhi?" Shivaay turned around to hide his smile and started walking back to his car when Anika's comment stopped him mid step.
"Instead of the gift you tried giving me, if only you started showing me more glimpses of this Shivaay Singh Oberoi, I would be a lot more thankful." Anika whispered more to herself but Shivaay heard her nonetheless.

(A/N):- Thankyou guys for still following up on my story. Sorry for the filler chapter but it was important to move the story along. The next one will most probably be much longer(unless I divide it into two parts). So please be ready for that.
