Female characters vs trps!?

Is this sudden dilution of Anika's character another reflection of what sort of female characters draw the trps? First there was this whole hoopla about ishana being blamed and booted due to poor trps. Assume it is true - is it because the larger trp driving audience are still not able to accept that a normal girl can have many shades. That a girl doesn't have to be painted in black or white!

And now with Anika - would showing a plot where the female lead pines and wallows for the man and stands by him despite everything the only route to strong trps. Would audience not be able to handle it get bored of a string female lead who is different, who is independent, who is in her own world and doesn't have time to pine. Who deserves to be wooed and pampered a bit.

Riddhima's character has also been so inconsistently sketched. First she is shown as fame hungry fake humanitarian. Then she is shown as controlling and now suddenly she is shown as a supportive understanding girl friend. She seems like a placeholder till cvs figure out who to bring opposite the revered om.

Tia was a nice enough girl if only a little fake and very annoying. But suddenly she is a jealous bitch overnight.

Prinku - most under developed. She is shown as timid presumably because of alcoholic motjer, controlling unavailable father and self absorbed brothers who love her a lot. Then she tries to get bold, they claim she has never been distinguished but she is scared to voice her opinions and she is changing seeing Anika and Malika.

Is this because of audience and trod or is it because of the cvs, their lack of consistency and guts or is it plain simple
Lack of imagination?

Whatever it is, it's sad and disappointing on how the female leads have been handled.

Something is up with every character has done a flip in the last 2 weeks. It certainly seems like they have suddenly changed trAcks. Maybe this new track whatever it is is for trps. It might help thevtrps but to me it's deraiked train like every other soap.
