Hello everyone, I am fairly new to the forum. I do visit IF and read forums but i have never watched any serial long enough to stay on the forum or want to write about it. usually I watch online, fwd bits and just follow a quick version for a while and then lose interest.
So why did I now create a profile and start writing. As I mentioned in some other post the strong characterisation of all characters specially Shivika and slowly OMRU as well is actually quite beautifully done, the actors portraying them are doing a splendid job and the entire thing is probably very natural (atleast in the context of daily soaps).
So I have been following IB regularly and never fwding (except somya and ru who really need better depth) and (earlier the bela mala nonsense). of course there is a lot of scope to develop them in the way Shivika have been but right now the way shivika is going as a couple - its totally captivating. i have been replaying all their scenes from the beginning and watching them so many times because there are so many nuances to their interactions, especially from Shivaay's end. In fact it was for this post that I have been wanting to write on Shivika Journey from the seesha thod to billu finding her cute (to now she is family) that I actually created this membership.
So here comes a post on Shivika (and I would like to dedicate it to fellow shivika shipper pritzz :))
I have wondered at what point Shivaay actually fell in love with Anika. Was it that very instance when she broke his glass and slapped his own money on his face? Was it that dance jig she did after he arrives later than her at Tia's house (he did look at her in that episode with less anger and more amusement mixed with maybe some distant admiration). Was that why he got mad when he found her under the ghungat and was so harsh to her? His harshness in that episode was so intense! Was it when she threw water at him? He was more furious with her about the water being thrown than the gobar being thrown? Why? Was it because he was stumped that even after the severe insult he bestowed on her the previous day the girl had the guts to throw water at him (that too unprovoked atleast he didn't really know the reason for why she was upset). Was it her guts and his admiration for her guts that disturbed him, that started the fire of attraction and hence the pool scene? Was he testing himself as much as intimidating her because at one level his ego was hurt by her defiance but at another level this girls defiance was itself the cause for his attraction (which was atill at a subconscious level then).
From then his belief that she hurt his family, he didn't even bother to dig deeper or seek complete proof for it because he wanted it to be true, it had to be. He wanted to hurt her, he wanted her to accept the money because that would put an end to the initial stirrings that were sowing its seeds in him? I am probably misinterpreting the scene a little bit or thinking too much about it, but the scene where is waiting for the bank to confirm she has deposited the cheque - Tia comes to him asking for the date and he barks at her because he hasn't got the news that the cheque has been deposited yet. At a conscious level that could be interpreted as he is worried she will hurt his family more but at a subconcious level he doesn't want her to because Shivaay doesn't believe that women are strong, he doesn't believe women are independent, he thinks women and/or people without money are only interested in money. So far the girl had proved that to be wrong and if she didn't deposit the money then it means he is wrong about her and he wants to be wrong about her and that his feelings that he was beginning to have for her will not be wrong. So he doesn't want to commit to Tia yet because he wants to wait to find out about Anika. But the minute he hears that Anika has deposited the cheque he smiles because his ego triumphs his heart (which was longing for Anika to not deposit the cheque) and he knows he ir right, he knows Tia is the girl for him, he has won and he instantly agrees to marry her...
