Rudra moved himself closer to O. His half eaten sandwich forgotten in one hand while his other hand clutched desperately at Om's sleeves. He lowered his gaze, not daring to look at the man who just intruded his safe haven. Rudra has never felt comfortable around his father, like he never knew the man. But that's his father, how could that be possible? But that's just how he felt. Tej never bothered talking directly to Rudra. It's as if to Tej, Rudra doesn't matter, he doesn't exist.

What's worse is the tension in the air whenever Tej interacted with his brothers.

"I didn't neglect the business Bade Papa. The meeting was almost done anyway, it was just a matter of formalities", Shivaay said, keeping his tone neutral.

"What could be more important that you would leave the office? Hmm? And you, Omkara. I know you didn't feel the need to take business seriously, but I didn't know that you were so incapable that Shivaay has to come and save you every single time.", Tej said, disdain dripping from his words.

"I called Shivaay for a family matter, Mr. Oberoi. Not that you would understand that", Om replied.

A mocking laughter from Tej. "A family matter? You left that meeting for him?", Tej gestured towards Rudra. "Tell me, do we not have a family doctor? Are you two going to stop living your life just to care for him? He's not dying. Stop being so emotional".

Rudra shut his eyes tight, and wished he could block out the voices too.
