Hi! First of all, such an illustrative post! I could actually picture each of Shivaay's expression and action while reading your take. Secondly, extremely comprehensive post about a perceived 'typical Gul Khan hero'.> I mentioned this in another post, that Shivaay actually comes from money and a family, who no matter how dysfunctional, look out for each other. He is more like his uncle than his father when it comes protecting the family and putting them above anyone and everyone, especially his brothers. He is a adoring older brother to Priyanka as well and I especially like how he greets her with a side hug and a kiss on the temple. He is a mama bear of the family who indulges everyone but is strict when someone steps out of line. Unlike his predecessors he doesn't see himself as the provider nor has he isolated himself from the family.
> He is aware that he is narcissistic and arrogant and has a strong sense of elitist principles or standards he abides by but he isn't unfair. He was treating Anika in a derogatory manner because the circumstances were pitting them against each other constantly. But there is a change in his attitude when she is cleared of the 'charges' he believed she was guilty of. He unapologetic about treating anyone harshly who is a threat to his family and he is clear about that, but he treats people with cordiality when time calls for it, like Svetlana, inspite of his disgust for her. Also, he might be irritated and snappy, but not brooding 24x7!> As you rightly said, he is chilled out! He might have a certain image he maintains, but he isn't closed off from expressing his emotions. As I like to say, SSO is not emotionally stunted! He is sarcastic, witty, goofy and actually enjoys being in the company of people, i.e., his brothers. Also actually gives importance to Tia , respects her opinion and not treat her like a arm candy.
All the three brothers have a distinct level of swag and are actually fun to watch! Shivaay doesn't believe in the concept of romantic love as such but isnt jaded because of the loveless marriages around him. he simply believes that legacy, family, blood are more important than love for a marriage.
I am definitely looking forward to more of Shivaay's layers being revealed because it seems like he does shoulder a great burden of responsibility but isn't perturbed by it. He might be looking for that elusive feeling of 'love' but isn't aware of it nor is actively avoiding it because he's never really felt unloved in the surroundings he has grown up in.
