Anika's 5th month wasn't going very well. She was constantly sick and her morning sickness just got worst and worst. Most of her day were spent in the bathroom or in bed. She didn't have the energy to do anything. Shivaay was really concerned and started reading books to make sure he did everything right and took care of her. What he was really happy about though was the fact that she let him. She accepted his help and that was one of his biggest victory. As long as she let him take care of her, he was happy.
"Anika. Soup" Shivaay sat beside her on the bed and helped her sit up. Her baby bump was growing bigger by the day. She didn't say anything but made a face when he tried to feed her.
"It's chicken soup. Your favourite" he said, reading her expression.
"Hmm. I don't think it's my favourite anymore" she closed her nose and turned her face away. The smell was making her sick and if he didn't take it away from there, she would throw up all over him.
Shivaay, still not understanding, tried to feed her again when she closed her mouth, shooed him away and tried to get off the bed for the washroom. Finally Shivaay realised she was feeling sick again and quickly took her to the bathroom in his arms. She bent over the toilet and puked till she heaved. She was embarrassed but Shivaay was holding her hair back and soothingly caressing her back. His face were twisted in worry and concern. When she finally leaned against the wall and rested her head against it, he quickly went to get water and towel. He made her drink and then wiped her forehead with cold water towel.
"Better?" he smiled at her softly. She nodded and tried to get up when he picked her up in his arms. Startled, she held onto him as he gently dropped her on the bed.
"I will get some fruits for you" he didn't give her time to reply and went.
Anika was melting by the day. Shivaay was doing everything for her and she couldn't refuse him. She hardly spoke to him but that didn't stop him from always standing beside her, always helping her. Even she was human, her heart couldn't take this anymore. Shivaay came back and sat beside her again. Holding a piece of apple in his hand, he signalled her to eat it. She was just about to eat it when...
"Ouch" she clutched her stomach and cried out. Shivaay was beyond scared when Anika looked at him excitedly.
"Shiv!!! Oh my god, Shiv.. the baby..." she locked eyes with him after so such a long time he was shock but elated.
"The baby...?" he realised what she was talking about and began to panic. "Oh no! Let's get you to hospital, shall I call the doc and inform? No let me inform Om and Rudra, no don't panic Anika, I will handle everything you just breathe" he was going on and on and she busted out laughing.
"You should be Dumbo Singh Oberoi" she breathed out and groaned again. "I'm not in labour, I'm only 5 months pregnant"
"Oh" Shivaay realised his stupidness and smiled sheepishly "I.. I thought.."
"I know" she smiled but went pale again and groaned "The baby is kicking Shiv" she pulled him to her and placed his hand on her bump. Frozen, he felt his baby kick for the first time and fell in love. It's not that he never loved before, he did, his brothers, his family, his Anika.. but this love? This love. This love was so deep, with a range of emotions mixed together, so complex. He was going to be a father, no he was already a father, he just felt his child. Along with his baby, he will have so many responsibilities, how to raise them, nursery rhymes, their health, their education, their career, he needed to start planning, he needed to start creating a perfect future for his child, so that when she comes...
She...

He looked up, locking his eyes with Anika's That love in his eyes were shining brighter than the sun, he had a strange glint she had never seen before in them. A sense of happiness and peace settled over them. Anika was lost into his eyes, hers teary.
"Please forgive me" he whispered as his tears fell on top of her hand which was holding his to her stomach.
"I forgive you" she replied quietly, gazing into his eyes. Seeing his love and care for her and their child. How could she not forgive him? Even god gives second chance, she was a mere human. But she loved him like her god. He was her everything and to be honest, she was hurting herself too in the process. She saw his love for her, he had proved it the past few months. No matter how rude she was to him, no matter how many times she ignored him, he never complaint. He never left her side.
"Please please please forgive me. I was wrong to you, I love you Anika, I need you, please maaf kardo" he went on, not realising what she said. "I will do anything you ask me to. I will forever work from home to stay with you and raise our kids, we will give her siblings, how many children do you want? I don't mind you can decide, I will wake up in the middle of the night for them, I will change their diapers, I will even bath them. I will help you in everything Anika, in sickness, in health. All I want is your happiness, your smile" his voice cracked.
Anika chucked with tears in her eyes "Lekin maine toh..."
"Please Anika. I'm sorry... I'm so..." He interrupted again.
"Sshh" Anika pulled him and sealed her lips to his. It was a soul searing kiss that nearly knocked the earth off its axis. Shivaay frozen, his heart skipping several beats. She was kissing him as she had never kissed him before and it was so blissful. She felt like the only real thing in the world. It is said that one day you will kiss someone you can't breathe without and find that breath is of little consequence. And that's exactly how it felt. Everything faded and they found home.
Pulling back, Anika smiled and cupped his face "I have forgiven you Budhu Singh Oberoi" She wiped his tears. As he registered what she said, his eyes twinkled with infinite happiness and he cupped her face, searching her eyes. "You have?" he still couldn't believe it.
"Yes" she nodded her head cutely "I forgave you even before your speech" she smiled and pecked his nose "but you didn't listen". He smiled sheepishly.
'Thank you" His voice, mixed with emotions. He couldn't even describe the feelings inside.
"No. Thank you Shiv... Im sorry too. I have hurt you a lot" She cried.
"No. no. Please don't say. It was my fault Anika, but i will never let anything hurt you and our baby from now on" he promised and leaned down on her. She caressed his face, memorising every detail, every feature, he was so handsome, like a greek god.
"I'm going to kiss you now, I don't know if I'll ever stop." he said against her lips, teasing her.
"Maybe I don't want you to stop" without skipping a beat, he crashed his lips to hers. It was the kiss of a man who had waited years for the moment and feared that it would never come again.
...
An hour later...
Omkara and Rudra barged into Anika's room to see Shivaay resting his head on Anika's bump and she was playing with his hair with a peaceful look on her face. Their mouth dropped opened and they looked at each other before looking back at the picture prefect in front of them.
"Ahem..." they cleared their throat and broke the couple's trance. Anika blushed but Shivaay smiled happily at them. Though his face went a little crimson too.
"So?..." Rudra wiggled his eyebrows at them.
"Yes, we... " Rudra didn't give Anika time to complete her sentence and jumped on the bed. Om joined them too and sat next to Anika.
"Om, Rudra. Thank you so much for being there for me. But I need right now you need to do something..." she looked towards Shivaay and smiled.
Omkara and Rudra glanced at each other and then tackled Shivaay to the floor, hugging him.
"We missed you" they said simultaneously and squeezed him. Shivaay laughed happily and hugged them back.
"I missed you too. I love you guys so much" he said emotionally.
"We love you too" They got up and helped him up.
...
The whole family were beyond elated when they found out Anika had forgiven Shivaay and decided to have a big family feast. But before that, they needed to shift Anika's belongings back to their room. They all helped and packed her things together and arranged it back in their room where they belonged. Anika was in the bathroom and Shivaay was near the window waiting for her to come out. After such a long time, he was truly happy and couldn't believe his luck. He got his wife, his love back and now he was going to be a father.
When Anika had forgiven him earlier that day, he didn't know what to do, he had been thinking to do something special for her, to thank her properly. He wanted to put the whole world in her lap. And then an idea had struck his mind. He had the perfect gift. She just had to come out and...
Anika came out the bathroom and couldn't find Shivaay in the room.
Where did he go?
He said he would wait here..
A card on the bed caught her eyes and she picked it up.

She smiled shyly reading it and opened it.

Anika was still trying to make sense of what she read when she heard him behind her. She turned and saw Shivaay on his knees in front of her. A paper and a single rose in his hands.
"Shiv? What's..."
"Anika" he interrupted her. "I... I wanted to give you the whole world. Put every single happiness in your lap. I have been thinking to get you something which is.. different.. Anika, I love you so much. You are my world, my life, my everything, please accept this little gift" he forwarded her the paper and the rose.
Confused, she took it and looked at the paper. It was a certificate. On her name.
"You.. you bought me a star?" She yelped, looking at him shocked.
"You are my star Anika, my whole universe. I just named one after you. I will name every single one after..." she closed his mouth with her hand, shaking her head.
"I only need you Shiv."
"And you will always have me" he got up and kissed her forehead. "Do you like it?"
"Like it? I love it! Thank you for bringing light into my life"
"Thank you for being the light of my life" he said, pulling her close.
