Preeta, your theory is very interesting and has potential to gold true given the fact that she is indeed coming to create a split between the brothers.

Also, while we have established that as Rudr is in college, he can't be older than 21, what do we think is the age of Priyanka? Priyanka is younger than Rudr so she has to be at least 19. And if she is Anika's friend, it doesn't seem to fit in well because Anika clearly is somewhere at least in her mid-twenties.

So I'm guessing Priyanka could be the child that was unplanned and just happened, because Omkara and Priyanka have a lot of years between them, and his parents were already at loggerheads by the time he reached the 3rd standard - where his age would be something like 9.

So it is very much possible that Rudr is an illegitimate child from Tej's many paramours. And because he was dumped on the family, no one may have been interested in him and Shivaay must've taken him under his wing. Probably that's where his obsession with the family and family name begins.

Though the way they have just left Priyanka to her own devices, she seems to be the outsider. 😆

Actually we do not know what exactly is he studying (if at all he does) at college. I did my MBA in the age of 26 after a 2 years of work experience post engineering, and few of my classmates were even elder, so we cannot conclude that he is only 21

However the love and affection Shivkara shower onto Rudra is of a parent and not an elder brother, this makes us believe that there is a huge age difference, if Shivaaye is 32 (as per the Kundli), Rudra shall not be more than 22

Yes, I, too, liked the shaant Soumya so much better With Rudra, we don't even mind because we know why he is the way he is and we also know that a lot of his behaviour is probably a protection mechanism of sorts. That's why I had wanted someone mature and grounded for him, not an Anika duplicate.

And honestly, the guy was trying to apologize. It was done unfortunately, but he was sincere and he seemed to have wanted to patch up. I still don't get why Anika told Soumya not to forgive him... us ki kya problem thi? She backstabbed him, poor guy.

For the whole Anika provoking Soumya to not forgive Rudr, I think the CVs forget characters and boundaries when they're working on comedy scenes and end up going too far. The whole scene was dumb and uncalled for. Soumya has the right to be upset and not forgive him if she doesn't want to but cut the guy some slack and show some courtesy, you have practically thrown him out of his own room. He's the one who should be really upset.
