I mean, he says this kind of stuff to her only that money is everything and that everything can be sold n blah blah. This kind of mentality is shown in every other Gul show since the guy is usually a millionnaire. But the reason is shown as well. Why do they behave in this manner. Here the reason is crystal clear that his family, his own mother cares only about money. He has this mahol in his house that keeps shouting money money. He has always seen this concept hence apply it on others as well. I am glad they have shown a reason of him behaving this way.

Don't worry.. as I said earlier, he will turn into Ishqbaaz and you will love him then 😳

In fiction it's fine though...this rich arrogant guy/ poor but spunky girl thing always makes for a good template. I think one of my favorite novels Pride and Prejudice, also has the same theme albeit in a more genteel, Regency setting...its thematic explorations elevated by Austen's literary flair, humour and sensitivity. It's also there in almost every Mills and Boon book...so I guess the formula always works, lol.

And it's pretty much the same template in every show of Gul's..so I guess i'm accustomed to it. I think the reason we like this template is the escapism...we know that such a metamorphosis for a guy like this is not possible in real life...it's the stuff fairy tales are made of...almost like Cinderella.

The sad part is that people like shivaay do exist though...I hope I don't come across anyone like him...

yes his attitude is shown wrong towards poor people but i guess over here director wants to show public what is the current trend of angry young men in shows like dev of KRPKAB,ramann of YHM,or manik of ky2 these are all face valued bad guys(first impression) but had painful past due to which became a little weird
give the character sometime
Shivaya is a lion in terms of bravery and still a mystery
Om's pain is shown(parents relationship)
Anika and Ishana have financial crisis as their pain
Soumya's pain of being over weight(not shown yet but people judge her)
N Rudra well uska pain ab tak dikhaya nahi hai😆
so ideally ShivRu are the most mysterious characters if you analyze from different perspective.
