Shivaay ko koi fark nahi parta, but he is worried about his image towards Anika
Rudra ko fark parta hain, although he pretends that he does not care and is so in love with himself
And Om.. what the fark man? It seems he cares about lots of things (family, friendship, honesty, nature, art, his hair) except about himself, to the extend he could self-destruct (use of drugs/alcohol)
But coming back to Rudra, for it is this little spicy peanut's shell we are trying to crack.
Rudra has learned at a very young age that his family is burdened with relations problems and secrets.
His parents, his parents with Shivaay's parents. Struggle over power and money, love and attention and loyalty.
He understands the worries and the care/attention of his brothers. If it seems that he is not worried, then his brothers are not worried.
As a defense mechanism he puts on his happy goofy face, but I can imagine that he has commitment issues when it comes to matters of the heart.
He is interested to portray this image of a wealthy young handsome and fit man, to whom women are attracted like bees are to honey. Till now women were drawling over him, so this is the only thing he is used to.
When he met Soumya in the hospital he was in pain and comfortable to let this loose. When she came to sing he was happy to see her and somewhat mesmerized by her appearance and charisma. It was only after his brothers teasing him a bit he was made aware of the painful fact how comfortable he really was with her. He let her into his heart unknowingly, even to the extend he kept hidden for his brothers, for their own best interest.
Till now, every time he has met Sounya in school, he seems briefly baffled by her. But then, it seems like it never occurred to him that she might be only interested in friendship?
A girl and friendship? Girls are either family or lust interests. Or better yet, he has been the object of their lust.
He makes no false claim that he is loyal or faithful or ready for lifelong commitment with one person, but I bet in his heart of hearts, this is what he longs for. I expect, that he has not even French kissed before, but just created that image.
For now I am enjoying the show. I get excited when it is time to watch the show and get disappointed to see when the last scene will come. Just goes by too fast for me.
It is really too bad the episodes are only 20 minutes. I am all for a double slot so they can show more character development. I don't mean that the romances and all have to move quickly. But the characters are shown equally. In MAM they do that nicely. The leads but also the side characters get a chance to give more depth to their characters (even within a month). But ok... Ishqbaaz is making me work on my patience level
