Hello everyone here's a small one shot based on the precap. Hope you enjoy it.
FRONT OF POLICE STATION:
Om and Rudra were waiting by the car for Shivaay. They suddenly heard a loud noise like a glass was smashed and turned their heads towards the noise. They got another shock like in the morning, Shivaay had fallen into the glass screen it was shattered to a million pieces and he was soaked in blood. Om and Rudra gave an anguished cry and ran towards him. When they reached him Om took Shivaay's head in his lap and tried to wake him. Suddenly he felt his right hand getting sticky and warm when he saw took it from below Shivaay's head it was drenched with Shivaay's blood.
Om felt like the whole world has been paused and a very deep pain in his heart. He could not lose his brother, his lifeline the one who has been by his side all through his life. He shouted for an ambulance and then he saw that Rudra was full on panicking. Om decided to be the big brother and caught Rudra's hand above Shivaay's chest and squeezed it tightly. He shoved his panick deep down and tried to reassure Rudra. Then the ambulance arrived and took Shivaay from there with him and Rudra following it close behind.
AT THE HOSPITAL:
The one hour waiting at the hospital was hell for both the brothers and Rudra was crying constantly. They had not realised the seriousness of losing Shivaay in the morning blast as he was well and not even a scratch was made on him. But seeing him covered in blood was unnerving and gut wrenching for them. Om did not break down because Rudra needed him right now. At this moment he had to be the big brother the protector and when Shivaay gets well he definitely will get well Om can be the little brother and be comforted in the warm embrace of his protector his big brother Shivaay.
Rudra cried "bhai he will be okay right? " Om replied calmly though a storm was raging inside his head " he will be fine Rudra. You say he is very headstrong right that strong head of his will be hard to break don't worry he will be perfectly alright."
Right at the moment the doctor came out of the operation and theater and said "Mr.Oberoi is fine he has sustained head injury and the glass shards have pierced various places but the most important thing is that he was poisoned."
Om and Rudra were beyond shocked, was this an other attempt at Shivaay's life?
Om was deeply disturbed by this and he wanted nothing but to wrap Shivaay in a bundle and take him to the remotest place in this world where no one except Rudra and daadi can come.
But he replied to the doctor "we'll take care of the legal procedures please tell us whether he is fine and out of danger or not?'' The doctor said " yes Mr.oberoi he is fine and at the moment he is sleeping due to sedatives but he will be awake soon''.
''can we meet him doctor?'' asked Rudra anxious to see his brother. The doctor said yes and Om and Rudra went inside the room Shivaay was shifted into.
Shivaay lay on the bed pale with bandages covering his head arms torso and seeing him like broke their hearts into more pieces than that of the glass screen which was responsible for Shivaay's condition. Tears poured from their eyes and each held on to his hands like it was the log in the middle of an ocean and they were hanging onto it like that is the only thing keeping them alive.
Om thought this is how Shivaay must have felt seeing him drugged up and wasting away his life. He never ever wanted to feel this pain and his love for his brother grew insurmountably because even though it was an accident seeing Shivvay like this made him grow weak on his knees but Shivaay had endure him when he intentionally put his life in danger by using drugs. He vowed then and there never to use drugs no matter and worry his brothers.
Shivaay gave a grunt and he slowly opened his eyes.Om and Rudra immediately stood up from the stools and loomed over him.
''what happened why are you both looking at me like i'm an experiment gone wrong in a science lab?'' questioned Shivaay but all he got in reply was two sets of hands hugging him gently but despearately.Om and Rudra couldn't let him go and Shivaay realised he was in a hospital and remembered only then falling down.
He quickly consoled both of them and somehow made them smile albeit a small one. Rudra went to call their family and Om was left alone with Shivaay.
Shivaay stretched his hand towards him and Om grabbed it. He made him sit on the bed and started stoking the backside of Om's hand with his thumb.
"I know you're scared but don't worry i'm fine now. I'll not let go leaving you alone this soon." Shivaay said in a very gentle voice like a mother reassuring her kid.
"I don't even know how to describe what i went through seeinh you lying on the ground with so much blood. I can't lose you Shivaay you're the tether to my valium without you i don't know what i'll do with my life. I don't know how you make the job of being an elder brother so easy, I felt like i failed Rudra by being not able to console him when he was crying.''Om replied in a heartbroken voice.
''It's not easy but when everything you care about is your brothers then you will get a power within yourself that will make you do all things possible to protect them.I almost failed as an older brother when you lost yourself to drugs but then I decided no matter what i'll bring you back because i'm a brother before being a son grandson or a businessman.I promise to be careful from now on and not get you worried alright''
Om smiled softly and promised shivaay he'll never do drugs, will never from reality because he does not want to see his brother in pain and make him feel like a failure.
Then Om got up from the bed gave some water to Shivaay and sat down on the stool retaking his hand. Rudra was waiting outside the hospital for other members of the family and here in the room Om felt the adrenaline leaving him seeing Shivaay well and he slowly started to drift. Seeing him nodding off Shivaay gently guided his head to rest on his chest and started gliding his hand on his head so that he can sleep comfortably.With the warm weight of his brother's head on him and with the knowledge that everything is fine at the moment Shivaay too fell asleep.
When everyone reached Shivaay's room awhile later they saw the two brothers sleeping peacefully and even Pinky could not disturb them. So they went to the doctor to ask what had happened and Rudra sat at the foot of the bed guarding his brothers for the first time in his life.
