Then again this can be expected from Omkara because his love for his brothers is intense.

Omkara...he alone is a depth of a multiverse and doesn't need any additional element to appear interesting and attractive.

Truthfully speaking, his intensity is such that his character can easily absorb darker shades and yet remain pure and beautiful. His love for his brother is so rich that it kills him to realize that someone can even try to harm his brother. It poses threat to his already fragile existence which revolves around Shivaay and this makes him wary. So he does the only thing he can as he cannot stop Mr Oberoi, he permanently stops the man.

His conscience troubles him and he leaves the man alive and admits him in a nursing home but later his morals which tell him to protect Shivaay overcome his conscience and he hires someone to finish off that man's existence.

His actions are definitely wrong, but somehow his reasons make it realistic.
