Phew, what an episode.
I just finished watching it. The last part blew my mind. Kuch bhi kaho..the scale at which the whole set-up episodes have been shot is humongous and it shows! I loved the whole Maha Aarti sequence so much. By far the best the show has given. Just something about the way we got wide shots of the entire location at night time, the way the place was decorated, the boys in white attire standing tall and together' it was beautiful. And while the "Deewangi" as BG music made me go, "Huh?", the choice of song for the Aarti bit added amaze levels of awesomeness to the entire sequence.
Indeed the scale at which the makers have churned out this series outdoes their previous shows and stuff. This is the 'it' thing when it comes to presentation. the Maha Aarti sequence was phenomenal. It spoke of power, of undiluted and unadulterated power. Add to it Ajay-Atul's rendition of Deva Shree Ganesha. It was enough to blow everything out of the water!
I'm taking Daadi's assessment of boys' strengths and weakness as a complete foreshadowing of their inevitable Ishqbaazi. Though I must say, loved that entire scene for all the wisdom that Daadi gave. Specially that bit about qualities being strength or weakness based on the circumstances. Anyway, we've already seen enough of Anika to based Daadi's assessment about Shivaay as a path of their story. He values name more than qualities. So regardless of what Anika is as a person, the ? on her origins will always be a roadblock for her. And isn't that true in real life as well? Kaam se zyada naam bikta hai. Our legit origins and known names determine if we have a good life or not.
Dadi's assessment f their characteristic strength and weakness has opened a new set of Pandora's box. It will have both demons and angels alike. Though unfortunately it will be the demons who'd make an appearance first. Shivaay's assessment IMO spoke for the brothers and not Anika. He can go to any length to be an Oberoi. This is enough a reason for agitation. It was not for Anika but for his brothers who carry very different temperament than him.
Omkara is more idealistic. He wants 100% truth and no lies. Which makes me think that he jodi might be that of a conwoman xD Think about it. A truther falling for a liar. I guess with him it'll all come down to understanding ke jaan bachane ke liye kehna wala jhoot, jhoot nahin hota. Or something like that. But the boy is a staunch follower of truth and justice, at all costs. He has the liberty to say such things as seen in the precap because in his own words, he is "independent." He can any time break away from the Oberoi clan and branch out alone and still live his life with all the luxury in the world because his art does sell for crores. But real world isn't like that. People have to bite, claw, scratch just to survive. Idealism is the least realistic thing in the real world. Truth and lies..the lines become blurry way too often. Om is too absorbed in his art to realize that.
Omkara is idealistic and naive in equal measures. What he fails to understand is that corruption is essential to run the world. No matter how we deny the same the truth will always remain the same that scrupulous measure are need of the day. Even Lord Vishnu who runs the world, has to engage in deceit of sorts to keep the business of the day up and running. He is independent and yes can branch out of the Oberoi clan but that is going to take him nowhere as he will meet with the very same set of equations everywhere. Every empire is built on dead buried secrets...Om is yet to realize this and the fact that Shivaay is all set to chart the very path!
Rudra ka I told this before. Bodybuilder ke life mein parathe khane wali xD Typical but can be very endearing. I liked Rudra today. He does have a charming personality and it works that he's such a laadla of everyone. Speaking of like, even Anika grew on me today. Though her being Piku's friend was an out of the blue jhatka :P
Rudra is a card we need to wait to see. I believe he too will have his sets of demons to conquer and set to rest. His charming genes aren't going to help him alone!
Tej is RUTHLESS. But I was cheering for him when that minister bend down to pick those gold coins. Some people earn all the might and confidence in the world; Tej has done that. Can't blame his arrogance. Also, can't blame him for falling to Svetlana. She is everything a man like Tej wants and needs. Jhanvi has seen some serious pain in life and hence all that alcohol to drown it all. From what I guess, she is a good mother and could've been a good wife as well but she never got the chance to. One can't take constant rejection and ridiculing without breaking down. She did. And Tej Oberoi has no need for broken things.
Tej is plain and open for all of us to see. He thrives on power and can go to any lengths to get what he wants. the scene where he made the minister fall at his feet shows that his basic DNA is that of manipulation. Tej and Svetlana's equation is another thing we need to watch out for. It seems like an equation built on strings of power and compromise rather than love or lust of any sorts. Jhanvi has a failed marriage at her hands and attitude of indifference about her...she on the verge of falling apart completely...what now needs to be seen is will she drown to death or swim across safely?
Shakti is shady. He might be a game changer later on but abhi, he's the silent guy no one takes seriously.
Shakti is sinister somehow. His own mother can't seem to trust him!
Precap seems amazing. Both for the boys' bit and Anika's. Typical, but still interesting.
