Hi guys! This is my first attempt at writing something like this, I hope you like it and I am open to your criticism and comments so I can improve! I thought about this concept a few weeks back but I did not have it in me to write it out with the new storyline without Vansh.

The day of Vansh’s death.
Riddhima walked through the garden as the moon glistened. She remembered the day she was laughing in glee with her Vansh at the sight of the moon, and now the sight of it tormented her as it reminded her of her Vansh. She continued to make her way through the garden, with one hand in a fist curled over the white and black silk scarf and the other hand hovering over the same flowers she was picking the day she felt Vansh’s soft stare on her while he was playing basketball.
Suddenly, she felt the same soft stare again. A warm tear fell down her heated red cheeks but before it could slip down her chin, she felt cold fingertips on her cheek wiping away her tear.
Riddhima closed her eyes, as this touch sent waves through every part of her body and she wanted this one touch to last forever. As her wet eyelashes flickered open, she saw him. The person, she almost grieved, the person she almost lost, the person she loved more than anyone in the world: her Vansh.
Riddhima: Vansh…
Vansh: Riddhima, mainne tumase pahale hee kaha tha ki tumhaare ek ek aansoo mere lie kitane keemate hai.
Riddhima wrapped her arms around him and took him into a tight hug. Vansh squeezed her back and kissed her forehead. They both felt like they could breathe again and didn’t want to release from the hug.
Riddhima lifted her head up and hovered her fingertips over every feature of Vansh’s face from his forehead to his chin. She couldn’t help but cry as she permanently captured each feature into her memory.
Vansh pulled her in closer and pushed her hair behind her ear so that he could see her clearly.
Vansh: I promised you I wouldn’t’ leave you, didn’t I? Vansh Rai Singhania keeps his word, especially when you are his world.
Vansh tilted his head closer to hers and cupped her face as he took her lips into his for a slow and passionate kiss. Riddhima wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back with the same passion, even more so that it surprised him. Vansh lifted Riddhima with her legs wrapped around his hips and pressed her against a nearby tree while continuing their kiss. Vansh began making her way to her neck, kissing her cheek and ear until he finally reached her soft neck. He placed kisses and bites there, as he heard her moan his name.
Vansh: Say it one more time Riddhima, for it will be the last time you’ll refer to me as Vansh.
Riddhima’s heart stopped as for a brief moment with her Vansh, her mind slipped away from reality.
Riddhima: I hate that it has to be this way, I wish we could be with each other like this every day. Vansh I know I betrayed you, I hurt you, but I promise I was always fighting for what was right. But it was my fault that I didn’t trust my heart, it was telling me that you were right and because I fell for that Kabir’s words I lost us everything. It’s my fault.
Vansh puts Riddhima down and holds her hands while rubbing them with his thumbs to comfort her.
Vansh: Riddhima, this fight has been going on before you. This is not your fault. Granted, you did enter this house to betray me, but sweetheart I knew from the start what your intentions were. I knew someone else was controlling your every move. But everything happens for a reason because if it weren’t for these circumstances I would have never met you. Now, we can fight him together. Every king needs a queen, and you Riddhima are my queen. Will you go to war with me?
Riddhima: I thought you’d never ask. *Riddhima says as she smirks and leans in for another kiss to seal the deal*
Riddhima pulls back and decides to say those words she regretted not saying before she saw her Vansh falling off the cliff. For a moment she felt as if he was actually leaving her and never coming back. The thought of this memory haunts her, and Vansh could see this in her widened eyes.
Vansh: Riddhima, what’s wrong?
Riddhima takes a deep breath and a small smile forms on her face. She cups Vansh’s face with both her hands on both sides of his face.
Riddhima: Vansh Rai Singhania, I love you. You consume me, you excite me, you challenge me and most of all you love me like no other.
Vansh’s eyes water and he smiles at the words he just heard leave from his wife’s mouth. He slightly chuckles.
Vansh: Riddhima! You’re supposed to let me say I love you too, but you already announced I love you. *he says laughingly”
Riddhima laughs back and lays her head on his chest. Vansh wraps his arms around her.
Vansh: Do you hear that? This heart only beats for you. I love you Mrs. Riddhima Vansh Rai Singhania.
They both hug each other tightly and think of the moment that led them to this point.
Flashback – Hours Earlier
Vansh was put in the back of the police van by Kabir, while Mishra and Kabir sat in the driver and passenger seat. The back of the van was separated from the front, with a tiny window in the middle allowing the front to communicate with the captive in the back.
Kabir: You know Vansh, this day may be the worst for you, but it is a very special day for me. I finally achieved my life’s mission to snatch everything from you! This calls for a celebration, and a celebration needs music. Enjoy your final ride Vansh!
Kabir laughed as he moved to turn on the radio at a high volume.
Vansh scoffed, even at his worst he knew that he would always be the creator of the game. Yet, what haunted him is the thought of the CCTV video he had received from Angre moments earlier. To think that he revealed the truth about his mother and her killers to Riddhima, but it was Riddhima who was behind Ragini’s kidnapping. Vansh was in an endless state of turmoil as he played all the beautiful memories between Riddhima and him in his head, which would all be disrupted by the hideous thought of her betrayal. Yet, a piece of him denied it, he could still not come to terms with her betrayal. Vansh began to think of Sia, his little sister who he raised like his own daughter, who Riddhima loved and adored. Nothing about the attack on Sia by Riddhima made sense to him.
Vansh could hear the loud music and the sound of a conversation between Kabir and Mishra, but he could not pinpoint their words.
Vansh was blindfolded, but as he was the Vansh Rai Singhania, he did not need his vision to be aware of his surroundings. Suddenly, he could feel a known presence in the van, a presence that gave him comfort and sukoon. He then began to smell a scent that he recognized very well, a flowery scent he smelt every morning as he entered the used washroom.
Vansh: Riddhima? * he confusingly whispered*
Vansh realized that it was his wife’s scent, he rapidly attempted to remove his blindfold but the metal handcuffs Kabir put on him prevented any such movement. Vansh thought to himself, that there is no way Riddhima could be here it is just in his head.
After every bump on the road, the van shook and Vansh’s blindfold lifted little by little enough for him to see two bodies in the corner of the van. Vansh did not know why, but his heart began to race. The blind fold was halfway off the bridge of his nose and he could see that the bodies were covered by a black blanket. The second the van drove over another rough pothole in the road, the blanket uncovered an arm.
Vansh froze as the blindfold finally slipped off to above his eyebrows and he saw the black and gold mangal sutra with a diamond on the wrist of the body. Vansh fell off the bench to his knees and rushed to the body after the realization. His eyes were red and teary as he realized the presence he felt was right, he prayed that the few moments he wasted in questioning if it was just in his head would not cost him his wife. Vansh kneeled down near her and attempted to wake her.
Vansh: Riddhima, Riddhima wake up, Riddhima wake up please! *Vansh exclaimed as his voice stuttered in between*
As his hands were of no use, Vansh slightly nudged her with his knee to wake her up but he got no response. He slightly tilted his face near hers, close enough to sense if she was breathing. Thankfully, he felt warm air on his face as he went close to her nose. Vansh’s face stiffened as his eyes moved towards her forehead and he saw that there was a deep cut and blood. He knew he had to be as quiet as possible but at that moment he wanted to yell and scream his wife’s name to get her to wake up. He wanted to push his arm through the little hole in between the front and back of the van to strangle Kabir for hurting his wife. But alas, he was handcuffed, and he knew that it would ruin his plan and mostly, he had to protect Riddhima from him.
Vansh was on the verge of crying when he felt movement on top of his thigh as Riddhima attempted to get his attention with her hand. Her eyes slightly opened, and she struggled to get up. Vansh scooted behind her into the space she had freed by lifting her head and part of her upper body, he sat there and put both legs around her so that she could lie her back on his chest.
Riddhima: Vansh... *She whispered*
Vansh: Riddhima, just tell me who did this to you! Did Inspector Kabir hurt you and put you in this van?!
Just as Riddhima was about to answer, she tilted her head to the left and saw another body. She knew who it was, it was Ragini, the person who died in her arms. Vansh followed her eyes and noticed Ragini as well. Vansh was about to explode and question her on this when Riddhima began to cry and slowly turned her head towards Vansh. Vansh motioned his head towards the small window between the front and back of the van, and Riddhima understood what he was trying to tell her as she heard loud music and the sound of Kabir talking.
Riddhima: *whispered* Vansh I am so sorry; it was me who helped Ragini escape…
Vansh interrupted her.
Vansh: I know I saw the recording, Riddhima. But even after seeing it I wanted to believe otherwise but I guess now hearing this directly from you, I now know you betrayed me, and you were the one who put Sia in the hospital.
Riddhima could not believe her ears. Her eyes widened in shock as tears flowed down her cheeks.
Riddhima: Sia? What happened to Sia? Vansh I was not even home! I swear when you told me the truth about your mother and her killers, I rushed to bring Ragini back to you but just as I was about to, Kabir killed her and hit me in the head. After that I don’t remember anything.
I thought I was protecting her from you. I thought you were the Haiwaan but the real Haiwaan is driving this van and is the captain of this game. Vansh I know every bone in your body, every part of your mind is telling you not to believe me but look into my eyes Vansh. Vansh I am not lying to you, I could never hurt Siya and I’m the one who nursed her back into health why would I hurt her? She is my family! Vansh, I didn’t want to leave you that night when you asked me to stay with you but at that moment, I told myself I would bring Ragini back to you.
Vansh: You’re right, how can I believe you? Why didn’t you tell me all this before, we could have gotten Ragini back together! Did you ever think to trust me enough to tell me?
Riddhima began to cry even more as she felt her chest closing in on her, she knew she was in the wrong, but her heart kept telling her to fight for her Vansh, for a place in his life, and for a chance to make things right. Suddenly, they hear the van go onto a dirt path.
Vansh: Look we don’t have time; I’m giving you one last chance Riddhima. I know Kabir will try to kill me but what he doesn’t know that this is part of my plan. Riddhima, I already know you’re a great actor, but you’ll have to put on the best show of your life. I’m going to jump off the cliff and fake my deat-
Riddhima put her fingers on his mouth.
Riddhima: Don’t. Don’t you dare say you’re leaving me, Vansh we can do this together without this sudden measure. We know the truth now!
Vansh: I have to do this Riddhima, I’m doing it with or without you. Now tell me will you protect my family while I’m gone? Will you promise to keep your word and not tell anyone of this? This is the real test of our love Riddhima, I know the lengths you went to for your love, for your Kabir, but can you go to this length for me?
Riddhima gulped in shock and knew at this moment she had to listen to him.
Riddhima: I trust you, and I will do anything in my power to gain your trust Vansh.
Vansh tells Riddhima to place the blindfold back over his eyes and moves his way back to his seat. He tells Riddhima to follow his lead and only exit the van moments after he’s escorted out. The van comes to a stop and Riddhima hides under the blanket.
Vansh: Till we meet again sweetheart. I promise I won’t leave you.
The van door opens and shuts. Riddhima looks up and Vansh is gone.
Flashback Ends
Vansh: I hope you won’t miss my look too much, as starting tomorrow our plan begins and Vansh will now become Vihaan.
Riddhima: It doesn’t matter who you act like or what you look like, you’ll always be my Vansh.
Vansh and Riddhima walk hand in hand towards the back entrance of the VR Mansion where a vehicle is waiting for them so they could go to a secret location to plan their mission. He opens the door for her, and they enter the limo where two glasses of champagne are waiting for them. They clink their glasses together and both smirks.
Riddhima and Vansh: Here’s to sweet sweet Revenge.
