Life is a dream for the wise, a game for the fool, a comedy for the rich, a tragedy for the poor !!!

In the show Ishq ka rang safed, there are some significant lessons which cover the entire show, I shall be presenting them in few parts ... In this show each and every character is flawed, some of them have done pardonable mistakes while others have done unpardonable crimes. Let's have a glance at what has the show taught us all this while.

Before we start with the lessons let us know what is it which most of us humans want in our lives ? Everyone wants happiness, no one wants pain, but you can't have a rainbow without a little rain. While in reality nobody is in charge of your happiness except you. Happiness is not out there, it's in you. We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.

PART ONE

ATTAACHMENT

The root cause of suffering is attachment. To be free from suffering free yourself from attachments. Things are as they are, we suffer because we imagined different. You only lose what you cling to. The emotional attachment comes in when your happiness rests upon what you expect from something or someone, which is when you are stuck. Detachment is not that you should own nothing. But that nothing should own you.

Attachment is based on fear and insecurity and the need for security is based on not knowing the true self. Attachment is the strongest block to realization. He who is overly attached to his family members experiences fear and sorrow, for the root of all grief is attachment. Thus one should discard attachment to be happy (Acharya Chanakya).

The less attached you are, the more peaceful you are. Our mind is such that it starts clinging to each and everything. It starts becoming identified, attached, it does not know how to keep a distance, hence the misery. We attach ourselves so strongly to people, when they're gone, a part of us is too. Detachment means to not to be owned by what we own.

Most people fail to see this reality, for they are attached to what they cling to, to pleasures and delights. Since all the world is so attached to material things, it's very difficult for people to grasp how everything originates.

In the show there are two kinds of attachments which were shown, One over attachment towards family, two over attachment towards materialistic wealth. In the first case, Viplav Tripathi has always been overly attached towards his family, so did Dhani as well. Viplav has always considered his family to be most generous, kind and saintly kind of family, when in reality they have always been the opposite. Especially when it came to his Grandfather Dasharath Tripathi, Viplav always considered him nothing less than Godly figure. His over attachment failed to let him see the reality of DT's true colors and his hidden deeds.

No family would like to hear about big crimes committed by their family members even in their wildest dreams especially when you are extremely close to them just the way DT is to Viplav. But the truth cannot change irrespective of one being close or not. Viplav never believed what Dhani had to say regarding DT and Kanak, when she herself witnessed it with her own eyes.

When you are over attached to a person, you become so blinded that you fail to see the reality around you, you don't wish to break that happy bubble in which you were residing all this while for you fear the bubble to burst any time soon in case you accept the truth which leads to sorrow, so in the show Viplav had been in denial when he heard about DT's deeds and refused to accept the truth.

Things always don't happen the way we expect it to be, this is how life is. Viplav was blinded by DT's love and affection for him that he failed to the happenings in his own home. Has he ever seen the way DT treats Sushmaji, has he ever thought how much hurt she must have felt with DT's behavior? Because of this very over attachment he had to lay his hand on Dhani, he had to be separated from her. He never wanted to listen to the truth told by Dhani for he was insecure and had his fear ruling his mind. He chose the other safer option to not to listen and be in his safe zone and allowing her to move out of his life.

Dhani is equally attached to her mother out of all the people in her life, but towards the end of the show, she did commit a mistake by listening to everything what Dulari had to say. When Dulari had suddenly announced Dhani and Parshiya's marriage, she had blindly supported her decision. Dhani knew very well that she would not be happy without Viplav and her child deserves to know about her father, yet she went ahead with her mother's decision.

Dulari herself knew Viplav has come for Dhani and Vidha and genuinely loves them, in spite of that she wishes to get Dhani married to someone else. Instead of guiding her in the right direction, she herself leads Dhani in a wrong path. Dhani's affection and respect for her mother is understandable, but in certain decisions, it is best for Dhani to decide for herself, for it is Dhani herself who has to live with such decisions throughout her life and no one else.

In the second part, the over attachment which becomes obsession and greed towards wealth, Be it Kanak or DT or Tripurari they have always been running behind money throughout their lives and haven't gained anything in the end. The trio have been so attached to the wealth, that they haven't been able to seen anything beyond it, their thoughts begin and end with wealth only. The people in their lives never really mattered to them at all. Kanak and DT never have been able to see the real wealth in their lives ie their family.

Money is important for every human being but when one makes it everything in one's life, people do actually miss out precious things in their lives. And once people do realize about it in later stages it might be too late to rectify their mistakes, just the way Kanak and DT had lost everything which was precious to them...Viplav.

Anything in excess is a problem for any person. Too much of attachment is no exception, our happiness lies within ourselves, when most of time we do tend to forget and try to find it outside. In the end it's all in the mind and the path we decide to choose can lead to regret or happiness. In the end the choice is yours. I cannot write the entire parts all at once so I have decided to split them in few parts.

Do share your views. Do let me know if want me to continue with the entire show lessons or not. Then I can go accordingly. Till then take care.

I'm going to answer you. really liked your views on the family and the love I feel for the family. we are all in some way blind when it comes to our loved ones. we will never rewrite the mistakes that they make them but we blame someone else. because we're afraid of the truth. The truth is sometimes fatal for those who are afraid that out. I think it's Viplav depths of the soul and knew what his family just was afraid to say it out loud. and Danh is led to the logic of that mother knows best for your child. but heard Dulari not once but twice. the first time when she agreed to marry her to Tripurari a second time when he decided to marry her to Parshaya. although for Parshaya somehow and I'm not sure how much it would be a mistake on the side Dulari it is the mother who fights for her child. and her child was always threatened when he was near Tripathi family. Perhaps he just wanted to protect her. It is this blind facts. and wrote there are plenty of topics for polemic discussion.

Hello Zady 🤗
So good to see you dear...Thank you for reading and sharing your view...Loved your reply...Yes that is so true when it comes to our loved ones we do tend to be blind and we blame others for the mistakes committed by our loved ones. Truth is bitter I agree so that's why sometimes people do hesitate to face it.

May be Zad he did get some clues about his grandfather's deeds, but chose to ignore it, like in lala's case or regarding Raja's case...I took just general topic and brought the main issue here in the show. How so true Tripurari's marriage totally slipped my mind...Thanks for reminding me ...yes Dhani did follow her mother's words and I know Parshiya's is a wonderful person but I doubt whether he could make Dhani happy ...she always felt at peace with only Viplav.

As a mother she did try to protect Dhani and Vidha from the Tripathi's , later on during the end I felt she literally pressurized Dhani ...sometimes unknowingly bad decisions can ruin lives ...that's what happened in Triurari's case... Thank you once again for your response dear...Till then take care.

Swathi your T O T D is right on...thank you for the PM...

We humans do get attached to people and things very easily. And very easily we let things own us than the other way around.

But where Viplav and his blind faith in his grandfather is concerned I fail to see how Viplav can be blind to the treatment of others in the family by this grandfather in entire life.
Tension like that in a family is easily seen and felt by other members too. Viplav blindly believes his G F but refuses to believe the woman he professes to love above all else when he is confronted with the truth about his dysfunctional family.

I found it hard to digest that as a smart and intuitive lawyer Viplav had never noticed the tension and the corrupt behaviour of his G F and the true nature of his mother.

And we saw the results of his going through life with blinders on when he loses the one person he loved for not trusting the love and honesty of his wife.

Dhaani too made mistakes with her mother by blindly following whatever she said without using her own judgement and here is where we make our biggest error by assuming that the elders always knows what is best for us. Elders job in life is to bring up children with love , trust and the ability to think and make sensible decisions and then then give them freedom to make their decisions and learn from them in case they make a mistake.

The Tripathi's were blinded by their need for power and wealth and their arrogance in their belief that they are better than the rest and that they can get away with murder just because they can and did get away with murder and attempted murder of Dhaani.

This being an Indian Soap Opera with their overdramatic storyline of characters that are either too smart for their own good or are completely dumb and they see nothing and hear nothing while villains plot and plan to destroy them...

In the end it is in our own ability to be aware of people and things around us and decide what makes us happy and be productive humans beings and that comes with good principles and values and a genuine respect of others.

Take care Swathi... thank you for the thought provoking post...
