Changing canvass of IKRS

Life is a canvass where the fleeting scenes come and go with its impermanence where change is the one constant factor we know to be true so it is no exception that the canvass of the IKRS with its ever changing scenes has been very pleasing to the eye with its breathtaking majestic views but of late sore to the eyes. It is important to bear in mind the backdrop or background on which the canvass is based which in the case of IKRS is about an impossible love story made possible by the undeterred courage of Viplav who singlehandedly breaks the shackles of the constricted society through the heart of humanity of benevolence, empathy and loving-kindness to attain pure love and joy. To the faint hearted what may seem like a mountain to climb, this lion heart many a times proved his metal by standing tall against the world who taunted and tormented the young widow, eventually taking her hand in marriage pledging to safeguard her from harm for the rest of his life because he truly fell in love with the goodness and simplicity that Dhani embodied.

whay you say is right Kaju but his biggest flaw is and continues to be - he cannot read between lines.

Why is he not trying to get to the bottom of it as to what is bothering his wife or figure out the reason for her distress . His family members abuse her all the time why does he not understand that impact . He has the luxury to ignore coz he is a man ...

Viplav is truly the bindass khuda ka Banda who is care free not to be entangled in the conditioning of the restricted society that puts you in a mental box that detects how you speak and act. He has that questioning mind that searches for the relevancy in any situations and if it doesn't agree with his core, he will not hesitate to go against the norms of the society to uphold his belief and stand in his own truth. He really is the rockstar with the star power with his vibrancy of positivity, charisma and intelligence. Time and again, he has proved to be the rock in Dhani's life and always so benevolent in his attitude. So to see him recently dwindling in his support for Dhani was very uncharacteristic of him and this was something I sincerely hoped was a temporary glitch. Watching today's epi reassured me because he can't be any other than his own true self. That is his true identity that we recognise in him and makes us believe in him.

I have no qualms with new dramas playing in the foreground as long as the background on which the essence of IKRS is built on is given due regard and attention. The soul of the story is in the background and that is what keeps us connected to IKRS.

I agree with you. He definitely needs to hone his skills as a good husband, and the starting point which you have pointed out is to be able to read between lines, how he will do it, God help him! Usually the elders give tips on such issues but here, everybody is hell bent on creating misunderstanding so nobody there to help him on such matters, maybe dadi could help on these matters especially about reading in between lines! I am glad there are sensible ph and cvz who value the power of love and marriage in indian context. In india marriage is a life long commitment.. and everyday there are adjustments and compromises that are made. However its the promise that the couple makes in front of the holy fire and holy books that keepa them.together... makes us iron out differences and find a midway.

Viplav is a dream... and any girl in dhaaniz place will be insecure of losing him... but the way he assures dhaani today that nothing.. absolutely nothing can take him away form her was so beautiful.

Agree with you, age old drama about power of love never ceases to catch our imagination and it should be relived, not forgotten. It was such a relief to see him being there for Dhani and spending sometime with her. Thanks for sharing your view

Viplav's heart is in the right place where it belongs in Dhani and as you have pointed out, he has a tremendous role in IKRS as a male lead without whom IKRS would lack the charm it has got! His growth as a loving husband shielding her from the daily tyranny would be the next interesting thing to watch!
