The quality of weight determines how heavy or light of an item is by its mass or quantity of matter as acted upon the counteraction of gravity. To weigh, also refers to evaluate especially in terms of reaching a choice or decision .To weigh also means credence or importance given to something. It also means, a burden of oppression or that is carried .The episode show cases the act of measuring devotees beliefs and faith by the bulk of wealth offerings added to the scales. However evaluating relationships, making clarifications and publically weighing out their true worth! is also covered in the episode. ..
Kamini's high hopes stand dashed as Viplav clearly has stood her up. Dhani rushes in, hoping to find Viplav with Kamini ,worries to see he's missing . Kamini for once tells the truth she's worried for him, tried to phone him but he didn't pick the phone. As his wife Dhani tries, sure enough! she gets through, to viplav ! all he say's, is she wake up? For now, both feel awkward, its his awareness that she stepped out of the house! For Dhani blocking Viplav off, keeping him in the dark about her education. Kamini weighs the perks of a wife! Dhani tried his phone and he answered where she tried all night and she was left high and dry! Dhani tells her he's coming, even covers up for her husband as only a wife does.. he was delayed by friends. Viplav's return, means for Dhani to remove evidence of her crime, she makes good her bedside, and any morals qualms of her lying to him are removed as she lovingly stares at his name she learnt to write today, a giant leap in taking a step towards learning. Viplav enters their love nest.. he is far from a super human ,he is miffed! Seen it with his eyes , his Dhani gives him the dodge! shuts him out.. now, her cheek and nerve! to tell him he's late.. no use beating around the bush , Viplav gives her a hint to coerce her to spill the beans about whatever she hides, had a restless night ,Dhani wants to know about what? he replies distantly, but near enough, he was on to something? Dhani asks what? Within his mind he replies weighed down emotionally , by you Dhani! searching for answers about what you hide ? and why you lied?Dhani reads his look of anxiety and responds by a calming look,give her time, she'll tell him all when the time is right ,give him a big surprise! but Viplav denounces appeasement, complains of a headache. She grabs the moment to give him healing tender loving care which he quite rightly rejects and nods off!he wants his soul massaged by her truth , not body massage!
Tola daan..begins, boasts of a gathering of the rich and the famous! Dashrant grabs the opportunity of once again mouthing off his hypocritical views about challenging orthodox traditions, mind sets about discrimination against widows. He speaks of giving support to the empowerment and inclusion of widows in society ..all this done under the surreptitious guise of pulling in wealth for personal gain, under the devotional canopy of offerings and donations made by devotees for the construction of the Sita maa temple. Furthermore to show substance towards the noble cause, Dashrant decides to choose Dhani an ex-widow now his youngest daughter inlaw ! to help in the completion of the ritual.. all is well, Dhani is sat in the light end of the scale.. her getting there, is received with mixed feelings.. Dulari is over the moon about her daughter chosen, Kanak still loathes the sight of Dhani!for her Dhani will always be a symbol of ill omen; Kamini just waits for Dhani to fall flat on her face! after so much respect and credence; Viplav, Dhani can sense is distant about this honour being bestowed upon her..is it because he is vexed with her for some reason? Asthana comes into action and wants to be the one to initiate the donations! her weight is raised as Ashtana's wide platter of heavy weighty gold coins boasts of his power and stature is placed in the other pan.. to strike a balance against Dhani's weight!
Then Viplav commands wait! and Asthana and all present can see that this auspicious ceremony has been intercepted !by none other than the son of this house hold! the next generation male Tirpathi.!So be it. Viplav repeats the order for his wife, to get up.. Dhani dithers, what of respect of elders? Vilplav offers her his palm.. he is her god! to obey him and honour him supersedes all and everything! She takes his hand and as soon as she gets off the lower end of the balance, Ashtana's platter of wealth is rudely jarred by the jingling of coins! Before all ,it becomes evident that Viplav Tirpathi is Dhani Tirpathi's husband! with reverence, he confesses before all that he feels , his wife does not deserve to be part of this covetous ritual of tola daan.. as he married Dhani not to grant widows a favour!!For him this is the moment of reckoning, of verification, of making the personal made public ! As a man his relationship with his woman can easily be seen , to be influenced in the past by Dhani being a sad, puny vulnerable widow! that was never the case. he married Dhani , not due to his compassion he felt for her ,empathy for her pitiful situation, that he was leading a crusade against the exploitation of widow.. but he married Dhani because he fell in love with the girl! Thus Viplav removes all elements of socio, faith elements from his and Dhani's relationship and bases it only on one thing that transcends, race, colour, cast of creed.. the virtue of love!..raj laxmi and more appropriate representative of widow is chosen in place of Dhani to complete the ritual..
Body language can be telling ,especially during public occasion .Dulari notes Viplav moves from Dhani and stands by his mother's side. Dulari evaluates if all is well between Dhani and him?tells her Viplav came to ashram yesterday, how come she didn't make it? Dhani admits she knew nothing abuot it..now Dhani too feels hard done by Viplav.. and dreads something is amiss? Maybe he is caught on, that she lied to him about her mother's illness.. On the other hand as wealth is amassed to balance Raj laxmi's weight.. Dashrant gives his sister a smirky look.. telling her even now his name holds worth, in weight of gold! Dulari in passing asks about how she gets on with Kamini? and Dhani replies she's a good friend, even helps sorts issues that arise regarding Viplav! dulari does give weight to Dhani's words.. so this Kamini is involved in issues between Viplav andDhani? what is Dulari meant to make of this?the ceremony ends..Dhani gives her love a tender look and receives a frigid icy sided gaze instead .Asthana announces a party at his home, graced by big wigs of Banaras ,his family is invited, especially Viplav and his wife Dhani! The party tonight is to celebrate the services of Dashrant Tirpathi! Bua disagrees with self glorification ,for the faithful come to worship the deity that houses the temple not the architect who made it! Dashrant is reminded of him being a mere priest ,won't be able to make it, due to veneration. But Asthana is desperate for Dashrant's presence and he adds ,that it's to show reverence towards Viplav's wife, the honour of which goes to Dashrant too! Viplav finds this attention given to his wife odd and extravagant.. however he leaves it to his dada ji.. whatever he decides.. and as far as Dhani goes, she takes her own decisions, he has never interfered and in future too will not influence her in whatever she weighs out to do! Dhani takes offensive to Viplav's decision, she suspects its because he knows she lied to him..Dhani feels she needs to show appreciation .. to Asthana who supports dada ji in supporting the widows by giving equal opportunities in society .Dhani points out, she may not be educated , but this she wishes to make known, that its not enough to provide food and shelter to widows.. but to provide them access to education too, that will help them to acquire , self respect ,build their self confidence, make them more independent to fend for themselves. Educate them so they can stand on their own two feet. Dhani also turns down the suggestion that the temple be attributed to her name..

The scene between Bua and Dashrant is a continuation of the mockery of keeping accounts of donations offered to the gods! Its only an eye wash to show balancing the books to uphold one's sham integrity before all..bua warns Dashrant of pilfering from alms in his control ,for he might go free in this world but the judgement passed on him in the hereafter is enough to weigh him down eternally! she reminds him.. the ultimate judge is god.. and to treat money and wealth as gods is a folly.. it comes flooding in! and also leaves in a sudden gush as well!
pardon me for posting late had domestic maintainence issues.. still under one ,but sorted..meanwhile ISHQ goes on.. I like viplav's speech ,dhani.bit about educating widows and the end section between the siblings.. Hamlet53 13.5.16
