Hell has three gates...lust, anger and greed (Bhagavad Gita)...Do not value Money for anymore nor any less than it's worth. It is a good servant, but a bad master. There are some people who are so poor, that the only thing they have is money.

Instead of loving people and using money, people often love money and use people. There are certain things which money can't buy...Manners, morals, character, trust, integrity. Greed is a strange sin...all you want to do is acquire. Acquire money, acquire material, and acquire attention. Greed gives rise to anger, obsessive desire, delusion, ruin...Greed is root of all evil.

Money does not change people it unmasks them. If you want to feel rich, then count the things you have that money cannot buy. Two things define you..Your patience when you have nothing and your attitude when you have everything.

No amount of money will make you happy if you aren't happy with yourself. Do not educate your children to be rich...Educate them to be happy so that they know the value of things not the price...nowadays people know the price of everything and the value of nothing.

He who is greedy is always in want. When one's life is attached to money or power it is impossible to be truly happy. Attachment leads to jealousy which is the shadow of greed. Train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose (Yoda)

The saying ...Infinitely more important than sharing one's material wealth is sharing is sharing the wealth of ourselves...our time and energy, our passion and commitment and above all our love...holds true. As long as greed is stronger than compassion, there will always be suffering. Greedy eaters dig their graves with their teeth.

The earth provides enough to satisfy every man's need but not every man's greed (Mahatma Gandhi)..It is the want or greed that causes suffering among people and by letting go of these desires one can eliminate suffering from their lives.

When you have everything you have everything to lose. It is in human nature to be greedy the trick is to apply self discipline and prevent yourself to become greedy. Money and greed can damage the relationships, excessive greed leads to destruction.

Greed is a very dangerous and evil tool that people are influenced to gain wealth, power anything which they desire. Greed corrupts people's judgments ... it is the excessive desire to have or get material possessions. To be greedy for money is to surrender our will to it and we make it our master and the thing we serve.

Greedy people can never have enough no matter how much they have its not enough for them...they live in fear of losing the source of it...they make a life of getting, taking and scheming and they think of ways to keep what they have and how to get more ...it is an everyday obsession for them.

Nothing in the world is certain what we have today we may not have it tomorrow it applies to money as well. Within matter of few seconds we may gain a lot or lose everything. Greed is like a bottomless pit in an endless efforts put to satisfy the need without ever reaching satisfaction. Greedy people would rather get than give.

Dasharath Tripathi has excessive greed for wealth and fame...his greed knows no bounds...he is never satisfied with what he has and has always wanted more and more. Bua was right in saying his obsession for wealth is going to destroy him one fine day. She may have certain defects in her but the advice she has given DT was very valuable and true.

DT has always given more importance to fame, power and wealth more than to his family. His family is his wealth for he never understood that. He has stolen wealth from temples, along with that he has broken people's trust, respect for him as well.

He always misused people for his selfish needs be it his family or others who put their trust in him. He never practiced in giving rather he was always indulged in taking.

The quest for money never ensured DT of any happiness and contentment; in fact it led him to discontentment along with the constant fear that his money might be stolen. He can go to any extent to get the power he has lost.

He has indulged in crimes as well when he never got what he wanted...one fine day this very greed is going to unmask him in front of his family esp viplav. Greed in the end, fails even the greedy.

DT who has always been greedy shall lose everything one fine day. The path he has chosen led him to destruction and he alone is responsible for that. In the quest for power one fine day DT is going to be exposed...everything he did, everything he said, every choice he made sooner or later is going to come back around.

Hi acchi soch...
Another nice n thought provoking post.
According to me , those who want everything everytime, have actually nothing, all d time. No morals, no love, no respect , no insight ... how can even someone live with that?plus constant dissatisfaction, d greed, wanting to get more n more , it never let someone live in peace. When some one doesnt have peace, what is d value of d money he ran after ?he does know what he gained, but does he know what he has lost ?

Hello Dr Joy 😊...thank you for reading and sharing your view...Totally agree with you dear the ones who always want more and more they don't realize the kind of vicious circle they are trapped in...they do not gain peace at all and what is the purpose of such money when one loses everything in return...it is all about give and take ...when one only knows how to take they create imbalance and thus lose everything in return...we humans do reflect emotions and feelings and we can only take it to a certain limit...when the limits and boundaries are crossed can anything else be tolerated by us ?? NO...till then take care.

hi swathi... great post I too found bua and dashrant 's exchange.. interesting to hear.. bua told him some harsh realities but like you say the crux of your title lies in the word greed.. its the desire to want more and more. if it belongs to another and we want our hands on it its immoral. Thing is thecurrent systems in world economic policies is based on circulating money by lending.. to fulfill our personal needs and wants.. now that favour by the financiers is not granted as a freebie, they will pander to our want but they want more money from us for the benefit ..i.e interest rates.. look at share markets we put our money at stake to desire more... its ideal to show that there according to world markets.. our money can be lost.! swathi its a culture of greed we live in.. were born with it.. to covet! but yes.. money cannot buy life.. can extend one's life but cannot grant immortality alas! we are mere mortals.. what lives on after after death is the kind of person we were.. our moral, social values.. thank you swathi.. enjoyed your thoughts... thank you mate... love hammie

Hello Hammie 😊 ...good to see you...thank you for reading and sharing your view...True agree with you completely ...we do deal with greed to a good extent in our lives...it has become a give and take policy, people do want benefits to satisfy their wants...in the share markets people do put in money with the hope to increase their wealth but in the process there are chances of them to lose money ...reason being greed...when they don't set their limits and they go for more than the required rates (very high rates) they lose money...anytime when a person is not satisfied with what they have and asks for more and more that's where the problem starts...eventually people don't remember our bank balance they do remember us for the person we were as you said...till then take care.
