Sura, It was not like he simply ignored when everyone scolded Dhani. He did stand for her but was not stronger. Everyone was already shaken up by the accident and people tend to react unreasonable at those times & everyone already hated Dhani. I don't think anyone would be rude at that time, when DB is already hurt. So even if she was wrong he couldn't say more. He was hurt that everyone blamed Dhani and he showed it to them by walking off & he also apologized to her later that he couldn't do much.

Sura, we tend to behave differently with our family and others. We don't take the same liberties with outsiders as we do with family. DB though a family has not been with them for so long. So you simply cannot behave the same way with her, like you do with dadi and Dadaji. In earlier episodes he did speak strongly but the way she responded? She did not give in to him like his Dadaji did. If I remember she asked him not to speak with her like that. So what can Viplav do? To answer back will be mark of disrespect. We know she is not worthy of respect but he does not know, does he now?

In mandir scene, we can assume he went in search of her to his room, but she was in mandir. So Kamini got to meet her before. The cv's wanted to show how Kamini was helping her out. Without this scene it wouldn't have been possible.

In the accident wala scene bhi, Kamini and DB was hurt visibly. Dhani did not let anyone know she was hurt. How would Vipu know then? He did check if she was alright and she said yes. What could he do more then?

I know my answer is different from everyone else but you can see things this way too. Everyone is upset with poor Viplav. Try to understand from his point of view also na? He is only a man.
