Hi Reva. This is a Sanskrit sloka depicting the character of a wife in general. A wife can help in her husband's works just as servant helps a master, a wife can give suggestions to her husband in important matters just as a minister gives opinion to king and most importantly, a wife can prepare meals for husband which is equivalent to a mother's hand made food.
