And this is the difference that needs to be addressed otherwise people that think that they are
better just because they are rich will get away with squashing people they think are beneath them.

And Badi Amma, does not need be rude but she has stood up before for injustice and in her
status of an older and wiser person should tell Kanak not to treat them like dirt.

And if that hurts K T so be it , she needs to be shown that her words and attitude hurts them too.

Being rich does not give them permission to treat others like low life.

There is such a thing as standing up for your self worth and wanting justice.

Yes, it does exist in the society but being mute and taking it is not right either.

Rules of good manners applies to the rich and the poor.

There is a caste system and now we have a money status added to it ,to make it worse.

Do we do nothing about it or do we at least try to eradicate this kind of thinking with dialogue
and fair discussion.

Might not change overnight but trying is better than accepting the status quo.

Great post Dolly!
Today best part ; Dhani doing aarti and it's symbolically shown that she is gonna to lead AN further. Better I should laugh watching KT she never turn to see herself in mirror..She set her own rules to live a materialistic life. She should learn many things from saved gang and from Dhani. She never valued beautiful relationships but does money n status makes it only then she will be answered by experiencing hard trash by RA.

Sammy this shows main aim is to change the thinking of a society that has held on to this prejudicial attitude to treat women with contempt that have lost their husbands.

K T needs to be shown by the CV's that her treatment of not only the widows but even of people that she thinks are below her.

K T needs to be taught some hard lessons for her rude attitude.

KT should get , when shallu life gets struck due to social issue.. I hope so , she will learn through her ...

Shallu was the center point for story moving (other than Vidha), for turning point of KT ...

She has not learned lesson from Shambu death - Because she has not treated him as husband

however shallu , (she is her soul and she will go to any extent to save her blood ) ..

Shallu is the back bone of KT . After which she will go against DT through Vipu and Dhaani . Until KT will KT.

Thanks Archu. I agree Dhaani doing the Aarti is a good sign . And yes, K T is a sorry
character that has no sympathy for any one but herself.

Someone needs to hold a mirror in front of her to show her uppity behaviour is not appreciated.

And this is why she has no good relationship with anyone in her own family.

It will a good lesson for K T when the Creepo's truth comes out and smacks her in her face.

Dolly - My question would be What is so special / different about a widow.

And for me its the treatment of the family first and then the society that see them differently .

Couples when together one of them has to go before the other ..that's the way life works. If a family is respectful of women they do not distinguish between who is a widow versus who is not. The rich and poor equation is secondary.

If women were respected by their children by their elders such a distinguish would not happen.

In Kanaks case though her FIL is disdainful of widows she still has a place in his house . Her son will not allow it . He keeps her away from the big functions . Keeping her away from the kitchen would happen if her MIL were mean to her. Kanak enjoys the privilege coz she has the backing of her son . She is a fighter but can never answer back her FIL .

She has the protection of the family hence the society cannot touch her. That is what the diff is .

My point exactly Ratna. What is special / or different about becoming a widow.?

A sad circumstance brought about this status to a woman by loosing her partner.

The society that is mainly patriarchal has foisted this absurd rule on women that have no man to support and stand beside her. Who gives them this right ??

Widows are women that needs to be shown the same respect by family and the society.

Men that have lost their wives are not treated as pariahs , so my question is why women ??

And in K T's case she is getting away with her rudeness because nobody wants to stand up to her bullying attitude and teaches her not to behave like she does.

Viplav did try to tell her not to be rude to his wife and she answers with.. do not talk to me like that ..I am your mother , show some respect.. Does K T know the meaning of that word ?

The unfairness of all this really irks me, and standing back and ignoring it, is not my style.
