The enemy's criticism, by keeping them closer can be advantageous to one in two ways...
One to look at the defects being pointed out by them and improvise oneself.
Two by keeping the where about of their plotting.
The enemies always try to put you down no matter what...their criticism if taken constructively will help you to improvise yourself and which is good for you. The flaws they point out if observed carefully can be improved by you...instead of focusing on the person if one focuses on our defects being pointed by the enemies they push you to greater extent and help us build up a better character...through those experiences one can develop a habit of helping others.
In the other case it gives us an advantage ...we can be aware of what they are up to and be sure whether they are trying to harm you or plotting against you. By keeping them close we will know how to deal with them. In case we ignore them we will caught off guard and they will take advantage of your vulnerability.
Knowing your enemy gives you an upper hand always. This way you are one step ahead of them. You can never really trust anyone but yourself at times...sometimes an honest enemy is better than a false friend ...pay attention to their actions than words...actions are more difficult to fake.
One must keep one's friends closer as well...we put our trust in them and sometimes there are chances they might back stab you...they are at higher risk at hurting you. You need to be sure that your friends have best interest for you, have good will for you...they aren't here for their own interests.
As dhani mentioned Viplav has to keep raja closer so that he is aware of his next step and plotting...by him leaving the house will be disadvantageous to viplav. No matter what different methods viplav has tried till now he always failed.
An enemy who openly hates need not be feared than a fake friend who hugs you and secretly tries to put you down. This is one strategy which can be used against raja.
With keen observation Viplav needs to look at what defects raja points out to the family ...today he blamed dhani for the misbehavior towards kanak and told dhani never to answer her back no matter what...Bulls Eye...this made not only raja but also the entire family to believe that a barrier is created between the two.
The other being he is going to win people's confidence and the avasthi's may let down their guard. So there is a chance where they may not be as alert as before...this gives upper hand to viplav.
He might look for the perfect time to strike back at raja when he least expects ...of course viplav needs to gain the trust of raja and the tripathi's that he indeed is very much upset with dhani and problems has arisen due to their differences.
Viplav taking the responsibility of the entire house is another strike for raja can't barge in to take viplav's place the property and the responsibility which he is after is being given to viplav as he gains the trust of DT and kanak ,
Hopefully raja might show his weakness there which is a plus point to viplav. Raja committing a mistake can sow a seed of doubt in the tripathi's as raja himself commits it which cannot be neglected.
