Dhani comes down fuming and takes the flower basket and goes out.
Raju excitedly announces that a big mela is coming and on the final day there is going to be a dance competition and with disappointment she says how she wished she could participate. Viplov is surprised and asks, can she dance, Raju doesn't reply and sadly walks away. Suvarna tells viplov that Raju was a professional dancer and she is fond of dancing, but now she can't dance because she is a vidhwa. Viplov rolls his eyes and leaves the ashram.
Dhani prays at the Durga maa temple and turns to see PC giving her a dirty look. He asks, how is the safed gangs rasleela going on with Viplov. Dhani looks at him disgustingly and leaves, but PC holds her hand and starts insulting. Viplov, raj and pankaj notice this from a distance. Raj and pankaj try to move forward but Viplov stops them. They look at him enquiringly, but he tells, he knows what he is doing. PC continues..they house a bachelor in the ashram but outside she pretends to be sati savitri. The onlookers say and do nothing.
Dhani starts crying and manages to release her hand and runs only to meet Viplov and his friends. He smiles at her, she is shocked, she angrily asks, how could they just see her getting insulted and do nothing, raj tells that viplov has not taken tekka to protect Dhani whenever she is in trouble. Viplov calmly tells that he didn't know she needs his help, she roared like a lioness at him this morning, so he thought that she would do the same with PC. Pankaj laughs and tells that probably she is a lioness only in the ashram, outside she is just a beeghi billi. Viplov agrees and says that outside she is just a beeghi billi who lets any dog bark at her pointing to PC. Dhani is shocked and she angrily asks that is this the respect he has for women. Viplov coolly asks, does she respect herself??? He continues...this is the 3 or 4 time PC has assaulted and insulted her in public all she does is cry and runaway. She has never bothered to fight with him for her self respect so with what right she expects respect from others. He sternly tells her that one who can't respect themselves have no right to expect it from others.
Dhani had enough, she turns goes to PC and gives him a tight slap and shouts that if he ever bothers her again, she will take the trishool of the Durga maa and remove his intestines. PC is shocked but before he could react Viplov and friends intervene. PC runs away seeing he is outnumbered. Viplov turns and a pair of big & beautiful eyes looks at him intensely. He smiles, she just stares and then turns and walks away calmly. Viplov keeps looking at her. Raj and pankaj look at both Dhani and viplov and then exchange glances at each other as if they witnessed something which the other two were oblivious about.
Dhani in her room, she is just not able to believe whatever happened. PC words, Viplov's words keep resonating in her ears and her actions gets repeatedly played before her. But she realizes that she is feeling so nice and releaved. She recognizes a sudden wave of self confidence in her. She closes her eyes and sees viplov's smiling face, she opens her eyes and understands what he did to her...she smiles again...the tip of the iceberg inside her starts melting.
Viplov back at the ashram, he announces that he has given raju's name for the dance competition. Everyone is shocked. Dhulari confronts him angrily. Viplov throws a defeated look at dhulari and then turns to speak to Raju, he says she is the only one in the ashram who questions the regressive age old rules followed in the ashram. She was not reponsible for becoming a vidhwa, so why should she undergo punishment. If the society could not stop her from becoming a vidhwa then what right they have to stop her from living her life the way she wants. He tells, he rests his case, now it's up to her to decide.
Raju looks at badi amma expectedly. Dhulari disapproves but before she could say, a soft voice speaks from behind " vakil babu is right", everyone look at dhani shockingly. Viplov has a naughty smile on his face. Dhulari screams and says, has she gone mad. Dhani calmly tells that Raju is passionate about dancing and at the end of the day it's an art, gods gift, so why shouldn't she persue it. Raju is pleased, everyone except Dhulari agree with Dhani. Badi amma tells that Raju will participate in the competition. All get back to their work, Dhulari looks annoyed as Dhani had spoken against her so blatantly. Viplov winks at dhani and smiles at her wickedly. She gets embarrassed and looks away.
