Viplov (Wakil Babu) today was wearing a T shirt with a prominent picture of the statue of LIBERTY. The statue is an icon of freedom, while the torch represents progress. So now onwards can we expect the Viplov Lawyer to enlighten Banaras with freedom from traditional social barriers and a progressive society?
The character Viplov (so far) has been sketched as an ideal human being that every girl would want to marry. I hope as we enter the second phase of the serial - hopefully where the real revolution will begin, it is essential that the LAWYER charateristics of viplov ( CURIOUS MIND, LISTEN LIKE A LAWYER), are also considered to be reflected in his thoughts and activities. If Viplov's character remains like the first phase, then it will gradually get weaker.
A CURIOUS MIND, AND A LAWYERS EARS will make the Lawyer Viplov think:
1. Why did Dhani react to the word "khuni" when Viplov jokingly told her at the ashram?
2. How did DHANI become a widow, and who was her husband? Now that they are one step more tha just friends, it is just natural that Viplov knows about her. Dhani has seen his full family, but Viplov has only seen her mother.
3. Why did Dhani and mother land in the ashram?
4. While staying in Gazipur, Viplov only mentioned to his dada about the location. Next day Viplov saw posters all over the place. He just questioned once, but did not follow up?
5. Who is Trip's father?
Etc...
LISTEN LIKE A LAWYER - all lawyers from the first year of their program are trained to listen like a lawyer. Listen like a lawyer means to read body language, eyes, and facial expression, what they say and how they say, and how to trust intelligently . So far we have seen Viplov to exercise these skills to read Dhani's feeling for him, and rescue Suv and marry her to Trip. The character has not been able to move beyond this and recognize who Phulchand, Trip, DT and KT are? He is also unaware that some of his own family members are dis functional. He has also failed to sense the stressed relationship between his grand parents, and his mother's disrespect towards his father. ..
As the serial moves forward, we will be seeing the general pattern like other serial, but I seriously hope that the creators give importance to the character Viplov, whom they have introduced as a LAWYER. I hope the LAWYER VIPLOV also has a brain, and think intelligently, if he is to liberate the society from traditional barriers to a more progressive one.
