Dhani will face lot of difficulties in society because she is a widow and Viplav is the one who will save her from all the troubles. Women are being murdered in some areas(in real life) which we don't even know about their existence. This is one bitter truth of the society we live in.. So we must accept it. My only point was, the makers have no intention to show a journey of a widow who fights against all odds and emerge as victorious, instead they will only show torture and humiliation. why do women need a male partner to help her and save her, why can't we show them as self confident and self reliant who fights her battle alone. I started watching it thinking it will offer something interesting and they will show a fighter within Dhani who will fight...but to my despair nothing is happening.

Before you all ask me to stop watching it, I m going to do this from today 😊

just bcoz some people can get 'offended', things cannot be banned. so called sentiments were hurt during PK too and we saw some ignorant people protest against it. future generation/kids and those living in a cave should know what really happens in many areas of the country. do not pretend that most women in India do not live in pathetic situations. or are we like Smriti Irani saying that all women in India are free to do, wear, work as per their wish.

this 'global image' excuse was given while trying to ban the documentary on the Delhi rape case. we all know the protest and ban brought more ridicule to India. Be ashamed that such things happen in the society, don't be scared or ashamed to show it and work towards stopping it. Hopefully, such petitions won't stop the episode from airing.

This show is working towards shaming people who disrespect women in the name of Hindu religion and tradition. The hero of the show keeps shaming the wrongdoers. Your protest would have been valid if they showed otherwise.

today we see jobless morons disrupting Dilwale and BM in theatres bcoz they got hurt. next we'll see only propaganda shows airing on tv bcoz that brings solace to that section.

What is more appalling is the outcry from the public in protest of what's being shown. Lets face change doesn't happen overnight. It requires quite a lot of effort from all and it starts with one. If you really want to see the reality, i bet you can't and no one will be able to show that. In reality, widows in certain regions of India are not only humiliated but sexually exploited too. Had it been any close to reality, let the makers show the men raping dhani or making her parade naked with her face black. will you be able to see this??? We all know the reality, those who claim they don't, either they live in dream land or don't want to admit it.

But the problem is, TV show makers are no saints or social reformers, their only intention is to make money thru exploiting the conditions of widows and by spreading negativity. After 1-2 years, they will get her married to Viplav and then she will again subject to evils of her in laws.

There are hundred other mediums if you really wish to see "REALITY", a fictional TV program, which has access to every house hold, which is being watched by kids and elders, which is being telecasted in villages and metros, will definitely increase PROBLEMS for widows, as not all have enough wisdom to understand the hidden message. Anyways there is no attempt to educate people how to resolve issues with Widows. Daily they humiliate the poor girl, and her only savior is her HERO/LOVER...how many Widows in India have such HEROES in their lives??? They fight their battle alone.

Boss everyone is showing problems, India is full of such issues, they have a medium to spread awareness, why they can't show journey of win of good over evil????? Or else they admit that intention is to entertain not educate and They chose a Widow just to attract emotional female audience.

and what a good example of that sati pratha. we have a great line of thinkers, rationalists who have done their best to make people understand. they too have faced hurdles. this show uses entertainment while making us think and debate. they haven't justified the wrongdoings. Viplav, the hero, is against it.

and i saw a post just now where a district magistrate in India ate food made by a widow to show the villagers that it isn't a bad omen. things are changing but at a very slow rate.

hiding the pimple won't make it go away. we have to apply the ointment.

every day we see politicians tell women about that lakshman rekha. do not dress like that, do not go out. rapists saying the same. many people around us say the same. they should be the one ashamed and prosecuted and not the writers of IKRS who are doing a great job.

but if the protest is just bcoz it is a show on hindus and hurts the so called image then 😕
