Swasti good post, from the start i had faith in this show and Mishal, knew that there has to be something in it for him to take it up after so many years, the role he has chosen to play is nothing at all like his other roles,Viplav is a caring person , but masti is his nature due to being spoilt Mishal is doing an excellent job showing a caring citizen and getting his own way the way he's used to . That is the thing when he takes a role he gives his 110% so the viewers get total paisa vasool.👏👏 for Mishal Raheja.

This is such a brilliant post... absolutely loving it !!!!!!StarClap

Totally agree with everything!!!! Definitely a versatile actor!! I watched bits of Laagi tujhse lagan and then stopped, it was an on and off thing.. But i did love Datta bhau as a character and him and Nakusha were cuteEmbarrassed

His transformation from an angry, serious don to a fun-loving, spoilt, light-hearted guy is beautiful though!!! His funny one-liners, sarcastic responses are portrayed beautifully and he does total justice towards his character as Viplav. An absolute treat to watch Dancing

Umm.. I just have one question. I was bummed when I found out Mishal had left but I've never known the actial reason.. does you know why he left?Ouch

hi swasti.. saw your post last night but was busy , I wanted to read it.. its a great acknowledgement of Mishal's diverse style of acting.. I think , it also depends on the actor to be clear of exactly what he is she is looking for? Mishal knew which areas of his acting skills he wanted to explore when he did Aakash ,Dutta and now VIplav..he was quite vocal about his boredom in a particular role after a while..and as such cried for a change. That is what I think adds freshness to him as an actor.. Mishal knows when to stop in a given role.. which can be difficult for an actor especially when the programme was doing so well.. yes it broke my heart when he decided to call it a day as Dutta.. however for me its his once in a life time role.. with Viplav.. he brings in some light , crisp and happy moments.. in Viplav 's acting ,I can safely say ,its family viewing.. which to me was not the case in his role as Dutta.. yes I read the last section of your post.. fear that the present role in IKRS offers him enough stimulation to maintain his committed interest.. but till then all I can say , as his devout fan like many others, its been a long wait to have him back on my screen daily every night 6 days a week.. thanks Mishal god bless you for giving us much joy.. incidentally ,I always preferred to see him in a weekly serial rather than a movie..
thanks swasti.. love hammie

From Love Story to Laagi Tujhse Lagaan to Ishq Ka Rang Safed --- Three different shows and three different characters. College going lover boy, Don and a spoiled brat... Its hard to choose in which one i liked Mishal the most but considering everything i will always put Dutta Bhau at the first position. The weight and gravity of the character was too intense and the impact was huge.

But somehow i can relate Akash and Dutta considering the angry young man attitude and having a disastrous past but Viplov????? It is totally different. It took me almost two months to finally reach in a conclusion that Mishal took the right decision. This character "Viplov" is not perfect rather full of flaws --- he is spoiled, not at all serious about life, doesn't care about others' feelings, doesn't know how to properly respect a woman but see,,, he is slowing growing as a man, he is realizing that outside of the happy bubble he lives in, there is a world where people struggle especially women and still the perception about widows is wrong... As the name itself suggests, he is indeed a man of revolution and he will prove it for sure... I am happy that Mishal took a role where the love interest is not everything... also a social message is being taken care of...

Take out the lusty scenes of dashrath tripathi, this show is the best in every second... i lost my interest initially by watching "Tere bina laage na mora jiya" again and again 😡 but now that the the main leads are getting more screen spaces, it has become more interesting and worth watching.

Over to Mishal's acting skills, what can i say? Fellow forumers are beautifully analyzing it for quite a long time now... I have nothing to say more... He is a versatile actor and he is proving it so remarkably...It is literally impossible to take my eyes off the screen when viplov appears...Sometimes i can't belive that he is the same guy who never had fun in Laagi let alone entertaining others...but here he is putting a 30 minute long smile in our faces 😃. God bless him for being such a talented guy. He is committed, sincere and very serious about his work. I guess he was trying to discover himself in the past few years which caused the delay...

I hope he finishes what he started. Even if the show runs for only a year, i want him to stay until the end. The CVs must not mess this up this time. It is not easy to watch your favorite actor leaving in the middle and leaving the fans devastated. We endured this once and we know how bad it hurts...😭

All the best Mishal Raheja... Prayers are with you...

Would not have said it any more truthful than you Swasti. Thank you for that. Alex

@awida - Thank you for loving and keeping up with both show although the 1st in your post has been long gone more than 5 years ago when it first started. Do try to keep up not sure how you are able to view the oldie show as some the episodes are no longer there, changed from it's original content or "blocked from other countries." TC and thanks again.
